Sandra Jo Park

Oct. 6, 1941 — March 23, 2013

West Point resident Sandra Jo Park died March 23 at Mark Twain Convalescent Home in San Andreas. She was 71.

Mrs. Park was a member of West Point Community Covenant Church and Ladies Missionary, Sunshine Ladies.

She enjoyed sending cards and letters and corresponding with friends.

Mrs. Park is survived by one cousin.

Services have been held. San Andreas Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Foster Dabler

April 13, 1933 — March 24, 2013

San Andreas resident Chuck Dabler died March 24 at his home. He was 79.

Mr. Dabler was born in Modesto to Cletis Everett Dabler and Alma Erma (McKibben) Dabler. He graduated from Modesto High School in 1952.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and as a butcher at many grocery stores. 

Mr. Dabler enjoyed riding motorcycles, water skiing, camping, living in the mountains, and moving dirt with his backhoes and tractors. He was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Jacqueline (Fernandez) Dabler; sons, Charles D. Dabler and David Dabler; and siblings, Cletis Dabler, Margie Dulin and Evelyon Tryon.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Jim McDonald, of Visalia, Leslie and Monty Rideout, of San Andreas; grandchildren, Rachelle Green, of Medford, Ore., Rachel Reed, of Sacramento, Dennis Dabler, of Ione, Sarah Eshpeter, of Visalia, and Paul McDonald, of Visalia; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Dabler, of Redding; and his sister, Della Raines, of Duncan, Okla.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson.

Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of choice.

Jacqueline (Lutton) Weldon Dominici

June 27, 1920 — March 17, 2013

Jacqueline Dominici, a frequent visitor to Sonora, died March 17 in Merced. She was 92.

Mrs. Weldon Dominici was born in Ignacio, Colo. to Loyd and Florence Lutton. She grew up moving between Grand Junction, Colo., and Southern California. She graduated from Glendale High School, where she met her first husband, John Cowan Weldon.

She worked for Lockheed as a secretary while her husband served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

She then worked as a homemaker and part-time secretary when the couple moved to Madera in the mid-1940s, where she would live the rest of her life.

Mrs. Weldon Dominici enjoyed playing golf, painting, gardening and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John “Jack” Weldon, in 1966; her second husband, Julius M. Dominici, in 1991; and siblings, James Howard Lutton, in 1941, Mary Jane Doose, in 2011, and Elizabeth “Betty” Silvius, in 2011.

Mrs. Weldon Dominici is survived by her children, Steve Weldon, of Sonora, and James Weldon, of Peralta, N.M.; sisters, Irene May, of San Bernardino, and Loretta Bueermann, of Redlands; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held noon Saturday at Blue Oak Farms, 8700 Fraguero Road, Sonora. For information, call Steve Weldon at 743-5270.

Margaret M. Winkler

April 11, 1918 — March 20, 2013

Murphys resident Margaret Winkler died March 20 at her home. She was 94.

Mrs. Winkler was born in Newman, the sixth of seven children.

In 1940 she married Jim Milner, whom she met in school, and then raised her children and worked in retail in Modesto.

She married Edwin Winkler after the death of her first husband and the couple moved to Murphys in 1990.

She enjoyed camping, playing bridge and travelling.

Mrs. Winkler was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Milner; and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Pat Lien and Linda Leathers, both of Angels Camp.

No services will be held.

Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Sierra, 20100 Cedar Road North, Sonora, CA 95370 or a charity of choice.

RIGGS — Annie Riggs, 85, of Sonora, died Thursday at her home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

RODRIGUEZ — Anita Rodriguez, 94, of Sonora, died Friday at her son’s residence in Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

WALLS HARGROVE — A visitation for Eunice Walls Hargrove, 93, formerly of Sonora, who died March 28 at Sonora Regional Medical Center, will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose St., Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
