TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

10 a.m., Groveland — A homeowner who returned from a month-long vacation said blank checks, two credit cards and income tax papers were taken from a residence on the 19100 block of Ferretti Road. 

1:47 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said about five homeless men cornered her while she was at a bank on the 13700 block of Mono Way and called her derogatory names when she didn’t give them money. While a deputy spoke with her, he saw a man in the parking lot who had a felony warrant for his arrest. The man was arrested after a brief foot chase.

11:03 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man on the 20500 block of Chief Fuller Way said someone snuck into his apartment and moved his candy jar to the recliner portion of the couch, and he’s been dealing with similar “strange occurrences” for the past four years. He stated people sneak into his house, move things and leave without a trace. He asked to be deputized so he could take legal action on his own. He was advised to seek help from a trained professional.

SATURDAY

2:12 p.m., Sonora area — Someone said baseballs cards, DVDs and other items were stolen from the 19900 block of Rough and Ready Trail about five months ago.

6:07 p.m., East Sonora — Two women were offered drugs by a male suspect while sitting in their car on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

SUNDAY

2:21 a.m., Sonora — A 37-year-old man was found “passed out” on the sidewalk on the 100 block of South Washington Street. The man was arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor public intoxication and a felony probation violation.

2:53 a.m., Sonora area — A juvenile boy was cited on suspicion of public intoxication at Highway 49 and Parrotts Ferry Road after being seen “stumbling in the roadway.” He was released to the custody of his parents.

9:21 a.m., Jamestown — Someone stole two pieces of farm equipment worth a combined $1,500 on the 11500 block of La Grange Road.

10:36 a.m., Columbia — A man said someone in a white Ford Ranger pickup threw something at him while he was riding his bike near Sawmill Flat and Parrotts Ferry roads.

5:03 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A chipmunk got into a cabin on the 24200 block of Kiku Lane and destroyed property. The chipmunk was chased out of the residence.

10:34 a.m., Sonora — William Devore Warne, 47, of the 100 block of Snell Street, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 800 block of West Sunset Street.

8:35 p.m., Sonora — Christopher Ryan Goodrich, 32, and Kerry Suzanne Lang, 30, both of the 19600 block of Serrano Road, were booked on suspicion of burglary and criminal conspiracy, after an arrest at their home.

11:12 p.m., Sonora — Andrew William Souza, 28, of the 15100 block of Mountain Lilly Road, was booked on suspicion of burglary and receiving stolen property, after an arrest in front of a business on the 1100 block of Mono Way.

SUNDAY

12:28 p.m., Columbia — Eric James St. Lawrence, 26, of the 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive, was booked on suspicion of vandalism, after an arrest at his home.

4:36 p.m., La Grange — Rylan Howard Barber, 32, of the 2700 block of Michigan Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of forging or altering a vehicle registration, burglary and a misdemeanor charge of possession of burglary tools, after an arrest on Bonds Flat Road.

5:52 p.m., Sonora — Timmy Ryan McReynolds, 27, of the 1200 block of West Iowa Street, Ridgecrest, was arrested on the 100 block of South Poplar Street. He was additionally booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

9:06 p.m., Sonora area — Randi Sue Murphy, 50, of the 100 block of View Street, Los Altos, was arrested at Lime Kiln and Chaunin roads.

SATURDAY

1:35 a.m., East Sonora — Timothy Ryan Reis, 19, of the 10900 block of Campo Seco Road, was arrested at Mono Way and Standard Road.

10:55 a.m., Sonora — Elizabeth Espinoza Morehead, 65, of the 17100 block of Blackbird Lane, was arrested at Washington and Theall streets.

12:27 p.m., Confidence — Kimberly Kay Loger, 49, of the 18200 block of Shuper Road, Knights Ferry, was arrested at Highway 108 and Coffill Road. 

5:28 p.m., Columbia — Erwin Lee Dutter, 60, of the 18800 block of Broadhurst Drive, Twain Harte, was arrested on Italian Bar Road east of Cattle Drive Trail.

SUNDAY

7:40 p.m., Sonora area — Tracy Lavern Cook, 33, of the 20500 block of Flora Lane, was arrested at Lime Kiln and Jacobs roads.

Fire calls

FRIDAY

6:02 a.m., Tuolumne — A small grass fire was ignited on the 17800 block of Ruby Road. Cal Fire and local firefighters for Tuolumne City Fire Department and Tuolumne Rancheria Fire responded to the blaze. It was extinguished at 8:20 a.m. after burning a half-acre of grass vegetation worth an estimated $100. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:25 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A customer advised the assistant manager at a business on Sanguinetti Road that there were people siphoning gas out of vehicles in the parking lot. Officers checked the parking lot of the shopping center but were unable to locate the suspects.

12:46 p.m., vandalism — Someone’s parked vehicle was vandalized outside of a business on South Washington Street. Someone used a key to scratch the passenger door and slammed something into it.

4:14 p.m., fight — Four people were physically fighting at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive. They had stopped when officers responded and requested no further law enforcement action.

5:03 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone saw six juvenile boys passing, and smoking, what appeared to be marijuana at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive. Officers responded and determined the boys were actually passing around a cell phone. No contraband was located.

8:27 p.m., public intoxication — A 59-year-old man was arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication after being found on the side of the road by pedestrians on South Washington Street.

9:48 p.m., theft —A 24-year-old woman was cited and released on suspicion of shoplifting from a business on a Sanguinetti Road.

SATURDAY

2:49 p.m., property damage — A woman said someone used a key to scratch her vehicle while parked outside of a business on Mono Way.

3:40 p.m., theft — A man walked into a business on Sanguinetti Road, swapped his old shoes for new shoes and left the store without paying. 

SUNDAY

12:17 p.m., driving under the influence — Someone said a man drove his motor home onto a curb on South Stewart Street because he was intoxicated. Officers found the vehicle parked on Sanguinetti Road but no one was in it. 

5:58 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An off-duty sheriff’s deputy called to report a man who was allegedly trying to sell drugs at Stockton and Green streets. The deputy overheard the man saying, “This is the purest stuff you’ll find,” and pulling a bag with a white substance in it from his pants. Officers found the suspect and searched him but didn’t find any contraband.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:03 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her child’s bicycle was stolen from Jamestown Elementary School on the 18200 block of Fifth Avenue. It was described as a “Stolen Casino” BMX bike.

3:53 p.m., East Sonora — A man was detained for shoplifting from a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way. He was cited and released.

4:01 p.m., Sonora — The real estate agent of a residence on the 20800 block of Longeway Road said the home had been broken into and her husband was on scene trying to secure it.

9:35 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone tried to break into his residence, on the 10500 block of Calamity Jane Drive, through the bathroom window.

FRIDAY

4 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 21800 block of Belleview Road woke up to find his front door had been kicked in and believed his roommate was possibly responsible. The roommate admitted he caused the damage because “the door was jammed.”

11:15 a.m., Sonora area — Jason Michael McIntire, 33, of the 19600 block of Serrano Road, was booked on suspicion of a probation violation and misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, after an arrest at his home.

THURSDAY

9:09 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A taxi cab driver was called to a give a man a ride from a lodging business on Stockton Road. The man was passed out on the floor surrounded by air duster cans when the driver got to the room. An ambulance was dispatched, but the passed out man had left in the taxi by the time it arrived at the scene.

1:57 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was seen carrying air duster from a business on Sanguinetti Road. The man was advised not to use it until he gets to where he is staying. He agreed to wait.

4:19 p.m., traffic accidents — A silver Chevrolet car hit a tree in a parking lot on Sanguinetti Road. No injuries were reported, and the car had minimal damage.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

1:40 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A man followed another man home and was out on his property on Live Oak Lane.

2:29 p.m., Copperopolis — A theft occurred on Snowbird Court.

5:39 p.m., Valley Springs — Two customers were yelling at each other at a business on East Highway 12.

9:15 p.m., San Andreas — Someone called to report a suspect possibly breaking into an abandoned gas station on West Saint Charles Street.

 

FRIDAY

1:41 a.m., Murphys — A man in his 20s tried to purchase alcohol for minors at a business on Highway 4. The sale was refused, so he left and came back in disguise. The sale was again refused.

TUESDAY

7:40 a.m., Groveland — A Pine Mountain Lake property owner rammed the main security gate with his vehicle “causing a lot of damage,” after being asked for identification before entering.

9:27 a.m., Sonora area — Someone went to the Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of a purse and laptop on the 9800 block Highway 49.

1:13 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 10000 block of Horseshoe Bend Road said fraudulent charges were made to her debit card.

1:25 p.m., Sonora area — Someone alleged a woman stole cash advance checks from a mailbox on the 18300 block of Aarondale Road and wrote checks to herself.

1:46 p.m., Twain Harte — A new gas stove oven was taken from a rental property on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive.

1:55 p.m., Groveland — A man suspected neighborhood juveniles have been repeatedly vandalizing his condominium on the 19200 block of Salvador Court.

2:27 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 17000 block of Oak Tree Lane said someone used her ATM card without her permission.

3:01 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 21600 block of Wasatch Mountain Drive said an unknown person was using her 16-year-old son’s Social Security number for employment in Los Angeles.

4:16 p.m., Jamestown — A black powder rifle in a black carrying case, about 15 fishing poles and other items were taken during burglary at a residence on the 10100 block of Peppermint Circle.

7:55 p.m., Columbia — A woman said her daughter’s iPod was stolen while at Columbia Elementary School. She was tracking the device’s location through an Internet program and provided sheriff’s deputies with the possible suspect’s address. The device was recovered and returned to the victim. Deputies took a theft report and forwarded it to the probation department.

WEDNESDAY

12:49 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said her house was burglarized on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle and $25 in quarters was missing and a wine glass was broken. Sheriff’s deputies determined the glass had broken because it wasn’t secured properly and the woman found the missing quarters in her car.

10:40 p.m., Sonora — Dorothy Raquel Clisbee, 27, of the 17200 block of TImber Lane, Soulsbyville, was booked on suspicion of petty theft with a prior conviction and a probation violation, after an arrest at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:36 a.m., theft — A man said a woman entered his unlocked residence on North Stewart Street through a screen door and stole about $40 cash. The suspect was last seen walking south on Stewart Street.

11:57 a.m., found property — A man found an empty 9-millimeter ammo clip in a pouch outside of the Tuolumne County Superior Court on North Washington Street. It was unknown who it belonged to, but a report was taken.

1:23 p.m., found property — Someone turned over a cell phone found in Coffill Park on South Washington Street.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:19 a.m., San Andreas — An attempted scam was reported at apartments on Lewis Avenue in which the caller posed as the victim’s grandchild and asked for money to post bail.

11:22 a.m., Avery — A vehicle was burglarized at Hunter Dam and Moran roads.

1:07 p.m., West Point — A dog was stolen and later returned to its owner on Winton Road.

9:22 p.m., Douglas Flat — A 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

10:43 a.m., Crystal Falls — Gang related writing was scrawled on the water pump shed near the old firehouse at Crystal Falls and American River drives.

10:44 a.m., Sonora area — A coin-operated newspaper rack was found off the road near the 17900 block of Old Wards Ferry Road, where a similar rack had been found a month before.

2:09 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10500 block of Ninth Street said her roommate threw urine all over her early in the morning. She asked for assistance with the eviction process.

4:24 p.m., Soulsbyville area — A man on the 21700 block of Hunts Road said someone stole his video games.

9:44 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her friend suffered a broken arm after being hit by a man while parked at a business on the 18100 block of Highway 108. The suspect ran away on foot with a knife in his hand and was believed to be in the Jamestown area, she said. An ambulance was requested for the victim, a 24-year-old man, who had a broken arm. The victim was later arrested at Sonora Regional Medical Center on a local misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

10:02 p.m., Jamestown — Someone squirted ketchup and mustard all over the front door of a house on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

10:53 p.m., Jamestown — Someone broke into a man’s apartment on the 10200 block of Preston Lane and stole diecast models.

1:14 a.m., Columbia — Stacy Lynn Lien, 47, of the 11200 block of Union Hill Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug transportation, drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, after an arrest at Big Hill and Upper Quail Mine roads.

1:43 a.m., Columbia — Nichole Star Wyatt, 26, of the 21600 block of Wastach Mountain Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Big Hill and Upper Quail Mine roads.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

7:51 p.m., fight — Two men got into a fight at a Mono Way restaurant. After the fight, one man was sitting outside the restaurant with a bloody nose and the other drove away in a white Saturn car going north on Greenley Road. The man with the bloody nose refused medical treatment and didn’t want to press charges. The other combatant was contacted by an officer and also declined to press charges.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

10:59 a.m., Burson — Someone’s identity was stolen on Keystone Way.

1:26 p.m., Valley Springs — “Small items” were stolen on California Street.

6:41 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone vandalized a vehicle and attempted to steal it at a business on Highway 12.

6:47 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone attempted to steal someone else’s identity on Didier Road.

8:58 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest was made on local warrants at Daphne and Laurel streets.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:09 a.m., Sonora area — A white 2002 Chevrolet pickup was stolen Thursday night from a locked garage on the 21200 block of Phoenix Lake Road.

9:49 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 13000 block of Dondero Road said someone poured two gallons of water in his truck’s gas tank.

2:40 p.m., Strawberry — Someone found an iPad in the roadway at Highway 108 and Old Strawberry Road. The device was broken into several pieces. A Sheriff’s deputy found the serial number and attempted to contact the owner through Apple, but company policy prohibits them from helping to put the owner in contact with law enforcement, so the item was thrown away.

5 p.m., East Sonora — A woman was cited on suspicion of stealing several items from a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

5:59 p.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 22500 block of Rhine River Drive West was burglarized. Jewelry and several other items were stolen. 

10:37 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone went into his unlocked apartment on the 17900 block of Seco Street and stole his loaded Savage .22-caliber rifle. 

11:33 p.m., Columbia — A family arrived home on the 13200 block of Calle Quartz Drive and found a pit bull in their chicken coop. All the chickens were dead and the dog was growling at them.

SATURDAY

9:09 a.m., Columbia — A man said several items were stolen from his campsite at Italian Bar Road and Forest Road 3N03.

10:41 a.m., East Sonora — A man said he locked his yellow mountain bicycle to a railing and left it for several days on the 13700 block of Mono Way. It was gone when he went back to get it on Friday.

SUNDAY

6:26 a.m., Jamestown — Someone entered a woman’s home and stole her insulin on the 10300 block of Willow Street.

11:40 a.m., Sonora area — Someone saw a buck “staggering” across the road with an arrow through its neck at Ridgewood Drive and Phoenix Lake Road.

3:03 p.m., Jamestown — Someone broke a window out of a locked vehicle at Two Mile Bar Road and Highway 108. Fishing equipment and a duffle bag with clothes were stolen.

6:08 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone on the 19300 block of Poplar Circle said a neighbor was playing an “extremely loud X-rated movie.” A sheriff’s deputy made contact with the caller who showed the deputy a video of the neighbor playing a porn video on his flat-screen TV on his back deck. The neighbor told the deputy that the video was his “sabbath” and he plays it out of retaliation for the gospel music his neighbor plays that interrupts him in the morning.

11:32 p.m., Jamestown — Someone wrote derogatory comments and phone numbers in chalk all over a building and sidewalk on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

7:54 p.m., Columbia — Jeremiah James Donovan, 32, of the 22800 block of Four Wheel Drive, was booked on suspicion of attempted arson, after an arrest at his home.

12:30 a.m., Jamestown — Christopher John Mills, 21, of the 100 block of Columbia Way, was booked on suspicion of grand theft of a firearm, after an arrest on Preston Lane.

2:55 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Philip Anthony Valenzuela, 54, of the 10600 block of Chief Fuller Road, was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing bodily injury or death, after an arrest on the 20600 block of Chief Fuller Road.

6:33 p.m., Sonora — Kristi Dawn Payton, 34, of the 5000 block of Jaquima Drive, Angels Camp, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, drug transportation and bringing drugs or alcohol into a prison or jail, as well as misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia possession and possession of drugs without a prescription, after an arrest on the 400 block of Stockton Road.

9:13 p.m., Crystal Falls — Raymond Dean Tuttle, 52, of the 21000 block of Ridgeview Drive, was arrested at Crestview and Creekside drives.

SUNDAY

1:55 a.m., Tuolumne — Ana Lilia Guerrero-Mejia, 24, of the 1300 block of Brown Field Drive, Milpitas, was arrested at Tuolumne Road North and Tuolumne Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:19 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man went into a business on South Washington Street and caused a disturbance. He spit several times on the table he was sitting at and then got up and left. He told officers he had been at the business but denied causing a disturbance.

3:40 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was at a business on South Washington Street offering women money for “sexual actions.” 

7:16 p.m., fraudulent activities — Someone on Mono Way received a call from Pacific Gas and Electric stating a $205 fine as overdue. The person gave credit card information but was later informed by an authentic PG&E representative that the call was fraudulent.

7:24 p.m., vandalism — A woman said she returned home on South Norlin Street and some had thrown around and damaged her lawn furniture.

8:26 p.m., theft — A woman said her pumpkin was stolen on East Lyons Street.

8:38 p.m., public intoxication — A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

11:05 p.m., public intoxication — A man and woman in an argument on South Stewart Street were both arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

SATURDAY

4:24 p.m., pedestrian checks — A 46-year-old woman was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication, having an open container in public and possession of drugs for sale, after an arrest at a shopping center on Sanguinetti Road. A 52-year-old man was also arrested at the same time on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drugs for sale.

8:56 p.m., public intoxication — A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at South Washington and Theall streets.

SUNDAY

11:54 p.m., public intoxication — Three people were intoxicated and walking in and out of the roadway at South Washington Street and Stockton Road. 

Fire calls

THURSDAY

12:44 a.m., South County — Four acres of grass vegetation was burned in the center divide of Highway 108 east of Tulloch Road. State firefighters and local units from Oakdale and Chinese Camp responded to the blaze. It was extinguished at 7:19 a.m. and damage was estimated at $400. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation, according to Cal Fire.

FRIDAY

8:52 p.m., Columbia — A 1995 Honda Accord caught on fire in the Columbia College parking lot. Cal Fire firefighters assisted units from the college and Tuolumne County Fire Department, who responded and extinguished the blaze by 10:34 p.m. The car’s engine compartment was damaged by the fire but none of the surrounding vegetation was burned. There were no injuries and the cause is still undetermined, according to Cal Fire.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

9:14 a.m., Valley Springs — A woman said her daughter’s iPhone was stolen at Toyon Middle School on Double Springs Road.

11:33 a.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for forgery on Marshall Avenue.

1:36 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone broke into a residence on Driver Road.

2:35 p.m., Valley Springs — There appeared to be three men stripping a house on Rippon Road.

6:11 p.m., Vallecito —  A window was broken out on a vehicle parked at Natural Bridges on Parrotts Ferry Road.

7:19 p.m., Valley Springs — A beer was thrown during an argument on Cedar Street.

11:38 p.m., San Andreas — A man “staggered” to a gas station and flipped an ambulance off as it passed by on an unspecified street.

 

SATURDAY

1:54 a.m., Campo Seco — There were “suspicious star gazers” on Campo Seco Road.

9:05 a.m., Valley Springs — A man said the neighbor who lives on the street behind him climbed over the fence and is yelling at other neighbors on Berkesey Lane.

3:21 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A shop was broken into on Saint Paul Street.

8:44 p.m., Jenny Lind — There were “suspicious goats” on Highway 26.

10:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Something was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a business on Highway 26.

 

SUNDAY

1:06 a.m., Arnold — Three loud explosions were heard in the area of Summit View Road. The caller said it sounded like M-80s, a large firecracker that makes a loud noise similar to dynamite.

3:37 a.m., Burson — Someone called to report an “extremely” intoxicated man who went into their tent at Moccasin Campground on Camanche Parkway. The man was told he was in the wrong tent, but went inside and laid down anyway.

THURSDAY

12:49 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported putting out a grass fire along Highway 108 at Harvard Mine Road after seeing a man walk away from the area.

8:49 a.m., Groveland — Someone reported hearing an explosion near the 17900 block of Harper Road. The same person also heard a loud blast in the area six months prior and found a mine with “fresh blasting marks” on neighboring property.

9:05 a.m., Sonora — A woman on the 20000 block of Cedar Road North reported receiving phone threats. The Arkansas caller threatened to “bash” her face if he lived in the area. 

4:32 p.m., Columbia —  A newspaper box was vandalized on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. 

9:20 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22800 block of Gold Club Drive reported that a drunk and injured person with “blood on his hands” was lying on his porch.

7:36 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said someone attempted to steal her car stereo on the 14600 block of Mono Way.

8:22 a.m., west county — Someone broke into a garage on the 13700 block of Tulloch Road.

8:33 a.m., Columbia — Someone on the 11400 block of Columbia Village Drive said a neighbor was exposing himself on his balcony.

8:52 a.m., Twain Harte — A window pane was broken out of the front door to a business on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road. Nothing in the business appeared to be disturbed, including $20 cash on a desk.

10:20 a.m., Sonora area — Someone stole a cell phone and stereo from an unlocked garage on the 17200 block of Valley Oak Drive.

10:38 a.m., Groveland — A man said his neighbor’s house was broken into on the 20700 block of Buttercup Circle.

11:29 a.m., Sonora area — An older model snowmobile was sitting underneath Wards Ferry Bridge partially buried in sand. The caller believed it had been there “for a while” and surfaced when the water dropped.

1:05 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said there were bullet holes in a rental home she owns on the 18100 block of Bodenhammer Avenue. She received second-hand information that a neighbor likes to shoot at chickens in his yard.

4:07 p.m., Soulsbyville — Someone stole six to eight 6-foot long cedar logs from a residence on the 17000 block of Mono Vista Road South.

4:54 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said there were two women with babies who were drinking and possibly huffing in Rocca Park. Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate them.

5:02 p.m., Columbia — A man grabbed some beer and ran out of a store without paying on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

5:17 p.m., East Sonora — Someone reported possible identity theft on Hillsdale Drive.

8:31 p.m., Sonora — A man admitted into Sonora Regional Medical Center on an involuntary psychiatric hold walked out of the hospital wearing a hospital gown and red baseball cap.

10:34 a.m., threats — An insurance agent on South Washington Street said an elderly customer continually calls and makes threats. The customer called a Texas branch and said something about getting a gun and shooting everyone at the Sonora branch. The agent wanted the incident documented.

6:59 p.m., public intoxication — An anonymous caller said there was a man in a parking lot on South Washington Street drinking a large bottle of wine. The man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

9:58 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone in a “big red truck” was driving forward and backward yelling “regulate” in a parking on Sanguinetti Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10 a.m., Murphys — A man pretending to be a grandson called someone on Pennsylvania Gulch Road and said he was under arrest in Canada.

10:20 a.m., San Andreas — A business was vandalized on West St. Charles Street.

2:10 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A petty theft occurred on Peregrine Road.

4:40 p.m., Murphys — Something was stolen from a truck at Emerald Creek Drive and Murphys Creek Road.

7:27 a.m., San Andreas — Tools and other items were stolen from a construction site on Highway 49.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

6:42 a.m., Tuttletown — Ice chests, food, music CDs and a stereo were stolen from the Manzanita Campground on Reynolds Ferry Road.

10:28 a.m., Standard — A woman on the 18700 block of Standard Road received two calls from an unknown people telling her she was “past due” and that they are going to send police to arrest her if she does not pay. A sheriff’s deputy advised the woman it was a common scam happening around the country, and not to give any personal information out unless she is sure of the caller’s identity.

11:47 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 16600 block of Madrone Circle said someone stole her pain medication.  

12:41 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 7700 block of Mountain Pass Ranch Road said he sent a $100 check to Stockton, but it never reached its destination. Someone altered the check and cashed it for $500.

4:38 p.m., East Sonora — Someone said a homeless person with a ponytail was “passed out” in front of a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

5:08 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said someone stole a table saw from his job site on the 23900 block of Yellow Pine Road.

5:10 p.m., Tuolumne — A man threw a child’s car seat at a woman on the 19000 block of Carter Street. He said it was an accident, but she believes he intentionally did it.

6:10 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone saw a bear near Gina Avenue and Little Fuller Road.

10:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A man was upset because an employee at a business on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road would not sell him alcohol, so he grabbed six or seven bottles of beer and walked out the front door. He was later arrested.

5:34 a.m., theft — Gas was siphoned from Tuolumne County government vehicles on Hospital Road.

9:38 p.m., theft — An unlocked, chrome and yellow mountain bicycle was stolen from outside a business on Stockton Road.

11:36 a.m., Glencoe — Three generators on trailers were taken from a shop on Independence Road.

11:38 a.m., Murphys — There was an attempted break-in at a business on Highway 4.

1:11 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for a fight on Baldwin Street.

1:21 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A residence was burglarized on Mountain Ranch Road.

2:39 p.m., Arnold — A laptop was stolen on Venado Drive.

4:43 p.m., Valley Springs — Property was vandalized on Hartvickson Lane.

10:05 a.m., Don Pedro — A man exposed himself three times at the Lake Don Pedro Association’s Hacienda pool Wednesday while children were present. His key access to the pool has been canceled.

10:57 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 21100 block of Phoenix Lake Road said a man just beat her up.

11:58 a.m., Sonora area — Several mailboxes on Lyons Bald Mountain Road for residences on Scattergood Road were opened and mail was stolen from them.

7:25 p.m., Groveland — Four older men were smoking marijuana in the parking lot of a restaurant on the 18700 block of Highway 120.

9:12 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman was arrested on suspicion of knocking on a door on the 23000 block of Twain Harte Drive in violation of a restraining order.

10:19 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman tore off the screen door of a residence on the 18000 block of Mount Eaton Road.

SATURDAY

9:28 a.m., East Sonora — A transient woman on the 13700 block of Mono Way said someone took her tent and daypack, along with her wallet and various identification cards.

12:02 p.m., Jamestown area — A bicycle and dirt bike were stolen from the 20100 block of Jamestown Road, damaging a storage room and trailer in the process.

1:17 p.m., Sonora area — People were possibly squatting on property at Fortuna Mine Road and White Thorn Way.

3:17 p.m., East Sonora — A 30-year-old man was passed out under a Blazer at a fast food restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way. An ambulance was called.

3:56 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man on the 16800 block of American River Drive West said his father gave out his Social Security number to someone pretending to be a telemarketer.

4:12 p.m., East Sonora — Four tires were stolen from a business on the 14900 block of Camage Avenue.

4:13 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 16800 block of June Court said there were three fraudulent charges on her credit card.

4:34 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 17900 block of Avenida Bonita said her husband was the victim of an online scam and gave out two credit card numbers and his Social Security number.

6:35 p.m., East Sonora — A woman at a business on the 14200 block of Mono Way said another woman spit in her face and punched her car. The store got video surveillance footage of the incident.

8 p.m., Jamestown — A 50-year-old woman was arrested at a business on the 18100 block of Highway 108 on suspicion of misusing 911.

SUNDAY

3:15 p.m., East Sonora — A 24-year-old woman was accused of stealing merchandise from a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

6:51 p.m., Sonora area — A man walked into someone’s home on the 17700 block of Lucky Strike Trail and asked where “Dana” was, but the homeowner didn’t know anyone named “Dana.” The man left the person’s house and was last seen walking toward Longeway Road.

10:21 p.m., Pinecrest — Someone said there was a drunk man at Pinecrest Campground trying to cut down a tree with a hatchet.

8:47 p.m., South County — Baltazar Espinosa Castro, 46, of the 700 block of Kerr Avenue, Modesto, was arrested on Highway 120 at Keystone.

7 p.m., Sonora — Bruce Darrell Eads III, 21, of the 2900 block of Single Tree Road, Copperopolis, was arrested on Highway 108 at Mono Way.

10:03 p.m., East Sonora — Nathan Anthony Luque, 28, of the 23100 block of Mark Twain Drive, Twain Harte, was arrested on Highway 108 at Hess Avenue.

6:35 a.m., Jamestown — Christian Brent Corson, 33, of the 21800 block of Crystal Falls Drive, was arrested at Wigwam and Jamestown roads.

6:30 p.m., Jamestown — Ernest Byron Boswell, 61, of the 10600 block of Wigwam Road, was arrested on Golf Links Road at Highway 49.

FRIDAY

5:35 a.m., controlled substances — Sixty controlled substance pills were accidentally prescribed for a patient instead of the six intended. Sonora Regional Medical Center asked for help finding the patient and recovering the extra pills because of concern for the person’s safety.

12:40 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman selling DVDs out of her car at the corner of South Washington and Linoberg streets was admonished not to sell items on the street.

10:03 p.m., theft — An 18-year-old man was in custody on suspicion of theft at Walmart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

SATURDAY

10:09 a.m., fight — An anonymous caller reported a man and woman in a physical fight on Columbia Way. Officers arrived and the man and woman denied fighting, there were no signs of injuries.

4:52 p.m., reckless driving — Someone reported a possibly intoxicated driver on Greenley Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs but suffers from an existing medical condition and was transported to the hospital.

5:39 p.m., controlled substances — A 36-year-old man was arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia in front of a business on Sanguinetti Road.

SUNDAY

1:25 a.m., public intoxication — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest at a business on Stockton Road.

2:28 p.m., reckless driving — A caller said a possibly intoxicated driver “staggered out” of a liquor store on Restano Way and got into a vehicle going north toward downtown Sonora.

The Sheriff’s Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

3:55 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest was made after law enforcement responded to a disturbance on Pardini Place.

6:08 p.m., Murphys — A dog turned out to be the likely culprit in the case of a cut phone cord on Dogwood Drive.

SATURDAY

11:16 a.m., San Andreas — A shoplifter was detained and arrested at Treats General Store on East Saint Charles Street.

12:21 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Inappropriate texting was reported on Main Street.

SUNDAY

10:55 a.m., San Andreas — A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a drug and possessing a hypodermic needle on the 3700 block of Highway 49. 

1:15 p.m., Campo Seco — A residence was burglarized on Buckboard Lane.

4 p.m., Arnold — A report was taken for a fight on Pine Drive.

7:24 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone wearing a backpack jumped a fence and was hiding in an orchard on Milton Road.
