Sheriff's reports

THURSDAY

9:51 a.m., Race Track area — A woman on the 20100 block of Jamestown Road said a man assaulted her and drove off on Jamestown Road.

11:49 a.m., Jamestown — A sheriff's volunteer said an elderly man was staggering up Willow Street.

12:01 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said a man who lives on the 19000 block of Sullivan Creek Road was screaming and making threats.

12:34 p.m., Jamestown — Two men were seen trying to get into postal trucks parked at the Jamestown Post Office.

2:05 p.m., Tuolumne — A sheriff's volunteer said a woman who was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol was letting a dog run loose in Tuolumne Park.

4:28 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18000 block of Seco Street said her house was broken into, and someone had slept in the living room.

5:01 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 21200 block of Paseo de los Portales said two teens cut a hose in her front yard after first rattling her door.

5:25 p.m., Columbia — A man said his house on the 11000 block of Quarry Road was broken into through a bedroom window. The owner then called back to say his son was trying to get into the house.

6:43 p.m., Tuttletown — A caller said a man holding a shotgun was standing next to a maroon-colored van parked on Highway 49 near Reynolds Ferry Road with small girl.

7:17 p.m., Quail Hollow — A woman on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle said another boy hit her son with a stick. She said this is an ongoing problem.

7:56 p.m., East Sonora — Two men at Stuft Pizza, on the 14700 block of Mono Way, were reported being belligerent and refusing to leave.

8:38 p.m., Sierra Village — A man said a fifth-wheel trailer has been illegally parked on a cul-de-sac on Fools Gold Court, and that someone was living in it.

FRIDAY

12:51 a.m., Sonora area — A Jack in the Box employee said a woman driving a green Mustang was in the restaurant drive-through area, screaming at employees.

12:27 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 14800 block of Peaceful Valley Road said he had a suspicious package and was afraid to open it.

2:50 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18300 block of Highway 108 said a check book was stolen, possibly from his unlocked vehicle.

3:06 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22700 block of Sawmill Flat Road said her watch was lost or stolen from her home during the first week of September.

3:18 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road said his and three other mailboxes were bashed during the night.

4:11 p.m.,Big Hill area — A man on the 13800 block of Northridge Road reported the theft of some tools.

5:26 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said he was assaulted by a 50-year-old man at a residence on Saratoga Road.

7:17 p.m., Sonora area — A man said the Interfaith Community Social Services building on the 18500 block of Striker Court had been burglarized.

8:39 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said a teenage boy on a skateboard was drinking tequila on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

8:55 p.m., Sonora area — A man said an 18-year-old woman came to his house on the 22300 block of Wildcat Ridge Road and tried to break a window. She also threatened him, he said.

9:56 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her boyfriend was fighting with another man on the 23000 block of Joaquin Gully Road.

SATURDAY

Midnight, Sonora area — A man said someone set off a large firecracker underneath his vehicle on the 21000 block of Shaws Flat Road. He did not know if any damage had occurred.

8:22 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 14500 block of Oakwood Court said he heard two explosions about midnight, and in the morning, found two detonated explosive devices in his driveway.

2:36 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said a doormat and three planters were stolen from a business on the 14800 block of Mono Way. She estimated the loss at $300.

4:59 p.m., Columbia — A man said someone broke into his tool shed on the 12400 block of Big Hill Road and took $6,000 to $8,000 worth of tools.

5:47 p.m., Jamestown — A caller at a store on the 7500 block of Highway 120 said a man who appeared to be drunk was causing a problem. The man later left.

5:58 p.m., Sugar Pine — A caller said someone broke a window at the Manzanita House Sunday School on the 20100 block of Manzanita Street with a beer bottle.

6:29 p.m., Sonora area — A man said he found mail, a bottle of prescription medication and two deer carcasses in a pasture behind his house, on the 15900 block of Wards Ferry Road.

YESTERDAY

12:42 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man was waving a pistol around outside her apartment on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

1:56 a.m., Jamestown area — A man said three men were ransacking a campground on the south shore of Lake Tulloch.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

7:32 p.m., Jamestown — A 29-year-old Jamestown man booked on suspicion of felony battery against his girlfriend after an arrest at his home. A sheriff's department report a woman called 911 to say the man was hitting her. When a deputy arrived she said the man had thrown her to the floor by her hair and then threatened to kill her if he ever went to jail. The man was arrested and remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

8:11 p.m., Sonora — Anthony Brisco Jr., 42, and Linda Sue Johnson, 46, both of the 1400 block of Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, both booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest at their home. A Sonora police report said Brisco and Johnson were arguing and each hit the other. A neighbor called 911 and when officers arrived both were arrested.

Brisco was also booked on a Stanislaus County warrant charging him with misdemeanor contempt of court for disobeying an order to stay away. They remained in custody this morning, held in lieu of $35,000 bail each.

8:54 p.m., Big Hill — Terry Paul Keever, 47, 13200 block of Lower Shale Rock Road, Big Hill, booked on a state parole hold after an arrest at his house. According to a sheriff's department report, Keever came to a house on Big Hill Road with a pistol and allegedly made threats with it. A woman called 911 and a deputy arrested Keever. He was transferred to Department of Corrections.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Anthony Steven Olivieri, 27, 18100 block of Lime Kiln Road, Sonora, booked at 1 a.m. Friday after arrest on Sanguinetti Road at Old Wards Ferry Road, Sonora.

Erick Graza Castaneda, 22, 3700 block of North Harbor Drive, Merced, booked at 2:05 a.m. Friday after arrest on South Washington Street at Tuolumne Street, Sonora.

Jason Lance Hendricks, 22, 19900 block of Hani Drive, Tuolumne, booked at 3 a.m. Friday after an arrest on Shepherd Street at Lyons Street, Sonora. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license previously suspended for a drunken driving conviction.

THURSDAY

8:55 a.m., animal complaints — A caller said three Border collies were running loose on East Jackson Street, chasing other animals.

11:29 a.m., vandalism — Windows were broken at a store on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

2:10 p.m., vandalism — A caller said three men cut a fence at on the 200 block of South Washington Street.

4:36 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man said his car parked on North Washington Street was missing when he came back to retrieve it. He later determined the car was taken by his ex-wife as a prank after he received the title to the car in their divorce settlement.

5:11 p.m., assault — A Tuolumne General Hospital emergency room employee asked for a man to be removed from the hospital.

11:16 p.m., traffic violations — A 24-year-old woman was cited and released on South Washington Street after an officer stopped her on suspicion of driving without a license.

FRIDAY

1:11 a.m., lost property — A woman on the 400 block of Greenley Road said she went to sleep with a knife under her bed and now it's gone.

7:24 a.m., fire call — A 28-year-old man was cited on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism. Police said he started a fire in the women's bathroom at Rotary Park and caused a small amount of damage.

12:13 p.m., found property — A caller at a business on the first block of Pesce Way said a purse with a wallet inside had been found.

12:16 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a dump truck was spilling diesel fuel onto Greenley Road.

5:50 p.m., theft — A man said someone stole car parts from his Mazda RX7 on Columbia Way.

8:17 p.m., theft — A girl was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at Save Mart on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

8:47 p.m., public intoxication — A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Green Street.

SATURDAY

1:02 a.m., public intoxication — A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

2:17 a.m., public intoxication — A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Stewart Street.

8:14 a.m., burglary — A woman said someone burglarized her car overnight while it was on South Green Street.

12:56 p.m., vandalism — A woman said her boyfriend vandalized her vehicle in a parking lot on the 800 block of Mono Way.

6:08 p.m., vandalism — A caller said a soda machine on the 1100 Sanguinetti Road was vandalized.

7:13 p.m., burglary — A woman said her car was burglarized Friday on the 300 block of Stockton Road.

YESTERDAY

12:27 p.m., public intoxication — A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

1:32 p.m., public intoxication — A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Daybreak Court.

2:16 p.m., Valley Springs — A bicycle with a baby seat and a child's battery-operated car were stolen from a back yard on the 200 block of Laurel Street.

3:41 p.m., San Andreas — A man on the 700 block of St. Charles Street said someone has been trespassing on his property when he's not home.

3:58 p.m., San Andreas — A man said guns were stolen from his parents' house on the 1600 block of Calaveritas Road.

5:33 p.m., San Andreas — A woman on the 400 block of Foothill Court said someone broke her gate and let her dog out, and she can't find the dog.

8:44 p.m., Murphys — A house sitter on the 900 block of Cabernet Court said someone was trying to break into the house, but it turned out to be the child who lives there, trying to get in.

FRIDAY

9:51 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller reported a forged check at a restaurant on the 1900 block of Vista Del Lago Drive.

10:37 a.m., Murphys — A caller said there was a fight between an employee and a boss on the 5000 block of Wylderidge Road.

3:04 p.m., Angels Camp area — A woman on the 900 block of Dogtown Road said someone mowed her lawn while she was on vacation.

5:16 p.m., Arnold — A caller said someone stole a change jar with $300 in it on the 1500 block of Rawhide Drive.

6:54 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 5800 block of Raindance Road said a stereo and speakers were stolen from a boat.

9:06 p.m., Copper Cove — A woman on the 900 block of Feather Drive said her friend, who had been drinking, accidentally threw a skateboard through her windshield.

SATURDAY

12:30 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said several mailboxes on South Petersburg were smashed up.

7:15 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a mailbox was vandalized on the 1900 block of South Ranchero Road.

7:26 a.m., Arnold — A caller said a house was vandalized on the 1400 block of Blue Mountain Court.

11:36 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Vandalism was reported at Mountain Ranch Park.

1 p.m., Mountain Ranch area — A home was reportedly burglarized on the 19800 block of Rose Court.

Felony bookings

SATURDAY

5:15 p.m., West Point — Scott William Poindexter, 27, 1000 block of L Street, Lathrop, booked on suspicion of possessing a firearm and receiving known stolen property. He posted $30,000 bail and was released Saturday from Calaveras County Jail.
