The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:56 a.m., Sonora area — Someone said a neighbor on the 19200 block of Hillsdale Drive was watering the plants outside his home while unclothed and knew he was in view of the caller reporting the incident.

11:14 a.m., Cold Springs — Someone attempted to burglarize a business on the 30000 block of Highway 108 by prying open the back doors.

5:24 p.m., Jamestown — A stereo speaker was stolen from a residence on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

Felony bookings


7:14 a.m., Sonora area — Craig Chiarpotti, 54, of the 17500 block of Scenic Heights Court, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:15 p.m., Tuolumne — Michael Warren Hamblin, 27, of the 20600 block of Gerber Road, was arrested at Tuolumne and Aarondale roads.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:15 a.m., warrant arrests — A 46-year-old woman was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on a misdemeanor warrant for suspicion of drug possession and failing to appear in court, after an arrest on Stockton Road.

12:41 p.m., controlled substances — Someone said a man was smoking an unspecified drug out of a pipe on North Washington Street near a bus stop. Officers arrived at the scene and questioned someone with a similar description but determined it wasn’t the suspect.

5:20 p.m., burglary — Officers took a report for a burglary on Calaveras Way.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:43 a.m., San Andreas — A business was burglarized on East Saint Charles Street.

12:50 p.m., Arnold — Three or four outdoor speakers were stolen from outside St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Linebaugh Road.

1:36 p.m., West Point — A theft happened on Winton Road.


12:51 a.m., Copperopolis — A person was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Copper Meadows Drive.

7:13 a.m., Arnold — A sleeping bag and camera were stolen from a vehicle that was parked inside a garage at a residence on Georgeann Court.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Joseph Manuel Delarosa, 27, of the 1000 block of P Street, Merced, was arrested at Highway 26 and Silver Rapids Road.
