THURSDAY

7:32 a.m., Sonora — A 40-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant by Oakdale police and brought to the county line for a Tuolumne County deputy to pick up.

7:39 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her vehicle window was smashed and a purse stolen from inside while the vehicle was parked on the 23000 block of Leisure Drive.

8:43 a.m., Jamestown — A man said 15 windows were broken with rocks at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. The damage was estimated at $1,100.

9:12 a.m., Jamestown — A CHP officer said about 12 cows were loose on Jacksonville Road. The owner was contacted and came to put them back.

9:29 a.m., Columbia — A man on Italian Bar Road said a man entered his house, stole some items and poured maple syrup over the rest.

10:49 a.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 19000 block of Waif Mine Road said another woman stole her purse from the her vehicle.

1:03 p.m., Jamestown — The owner of Carmen's Fashions on Main Street said a wig was stolen from her display window.

2:37 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 19200 block of Rawhide Road said wood was missing from his house.

3:11 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man urinated in Tuolumne Memorial Park.

4:05 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said four or five teens were sitting in his yard on Golf Club Drive smoking. He said it was an ongoing problem.

5:22 p.m., Mormon Creek area — A caller said a bicycle was stolen from under his carport.

6:50 p.m., Sierra Village — A man said the driver of a white pickup truck pulled up behind the man and his son and shoved the 18-year-old teen off his bike, then threatened to beat the two up for being on his property near Highway 108. The caller said he and his son were never near the man's property.

6:57 p.m., Columbia — A woman said two boys threatened her son while at the Columbia Elementary School baseball field. The woman's husband took the boys' skateboards so they would stay around until a deputy arrived.

7:05 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man was punched in the face by another man at Jamestown Terrace Apartments on the 10300 block of Preston Lane.

9:08 p.m., Volponi Acres — A man said there was a party and underage drinking on Golf Links Drive near Circle Drive.

4:24 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 23600 block of Marble Quarry Road said someone broke into his vehicle and stole a briefcase, checkbook and CDs.

6:46 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 20200 block of Grouse Way said a car stereo was stolen from her unlocked vehicle the night before.

7:14 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said his checkbook was taken from his unlocked vehicle while parked on the 23500 block of Ontario Drive the night before.

7:57 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 20200 block of Rough and Ready Trail said her roommate's car window was smashed and items were taken.

8:18 a.m., Groveland — A man said his garage on the 19600 block of Ferretti Road was broken into and items were taken the night before.

8:52 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman at a school on the 20300 block of Soulsbyville Road reported an assault that occurred the day before.

10:08 a.m., Randalls Meadow — A man said he saw three other men break into a trailer parked at Randalls Meadow.

10:27 a.m., Cold Springs — A woman said her vacation cabin on the 29700 block of Mono Road was broken into.

12:01 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A man said someone came into his house on the 20800 block of Phoenix Lake Road and took a metal gun cabinet.

1:23 p.m., Columbia — An R&L Mini Mart employee said a teenager tried to use an altered driver's license to buy tobacco.

2:20 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man said someone stole his television from his house on the 22100 block of Crystal Falls Drive.

2:45 p.m., Columbia — A $3,000 mannequin was stolen from a Columbia College classroom and later recovered.

3:38 p.m., Don Pedro — A woman said her son was assaulted at a school on the 3000 block of Merced Falls Road.

3:59 p.m., Groveland — A man said a door was open and a television on at a home on the 12800 block of Mt. Jefferson Street, but no one was there.

4:02 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on Willow Springs Drive said two children had harassed her daughter after school.

5:48 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said three people were riding off-road vehicles on his property on the 18400 block of Cheryl Way without permission.

10:38 p.m., East Sonora — A supervisor at a restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way said a woman who had a tab running left without paying.

11:59 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said a home he was taking care of on the 22400 block of Tuolumne Road North was broken into.

1:18 a.m., Twain Harte — The manager of a restaurant on the 23000 block of Joaquin Gully Road said a customer was being obnoxious and refused to leave.

1:33 a.m., La Grange — A caller said someone was trespassing on Old Mine Road.

3:46 a.m., Jamestown — A man said he saw two other men drive into a parking lot on the 10300 block of Preston Lane and start beating on a truck.

7:03 a.m., Don Pedro — A woman said loose cows had roamed onto her property on the 6200 block of Castillo Way and damaged her vehicle.

10:15 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 10700 block of Buena Oaks Court said tools had been stolen from his vehicle.

10:16 a.m., Mono Vista — A man said vehicle parts were stolen from a business on the 19100 block of Hillsdale Drive.

10:30 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said two large marine gas cans were stolen from his vacation home on the 23100 block of Cresta Drive.

10:32 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said his vacation home on the 23200 block of Oak View Drive was broken into.

11:02 a.m., Jamestown — Three Social Security cards and a driver's license were found at the Jamestown Cemetery.

1:48 p.m., East Sonora — An employee at a business on the 14500 block of Mono Way said a woman was causing a disturbance after she claimed the business had damaged her vehicle.

1:49 p.m., Randalls Meadows — A man said his trailer was broken into at Randalls Meadow while he was hunting.

2:51 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man on the 20700 block of Haiapo Road said his neighbor was threatening him.

4:33 p.m., Tuolumne — An employee of a school on the 17500 block of Tuolumne Road said an MP3 player was stolen from someone visiting the school.

5:19 p.m., East Sonora — A man said someone told him someone was taking items from his property on the 19000 block of Lambert Lake Road.

6:37 p.m., East Sonora — An employee of a business on the 13400 block of Mono Way said he was threatened.

7:20 p.m., Groveland — A man said another man was outside his home on the 17600 block of School street yelling about a recently built fence.

10:13 a.m., theft — A caller said license plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

11:41 a.m., found property — A caller found a wallet in the bushes near a fountain on the corner of South Washington Street at Church Street.

11:41 a.m., fire — A 17-year-old boy was arrested and taken to juvenile probation after he admitted setting a tree on fire near South Shepherd Street at William Street.

3:40 p.m., traffic accident — An 18-year-old boy was injured when his 1987 Honda motorcycle collided with a 1990 BMW driven by a 16-year-old girl on School Street.

4:18 p.m., traffic violation —A 28-year-old man was cited and released for driving with a suspended license.

5:12 p.m., robbery — A woman said her son was riding a bike on North Washington Street when three people stopped him and demanded his bicycle, helmet and wallet. The boy refused and rode home.

6:04 p.m., animal complaints — A caller on the 300 block of Bonanza Road said a squirrel with a possible broken leg had climbed a tree and did not seem able to get down.

7:46 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man said he confronted another man in the basement of a house on South Stewart Street who said he was just using the bathroom. The man ran away when the caller asked him to wait for a police officer.

5:10 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller from a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way said a transient was sleeping in the bathroom.

10:51 a.m., found property — A checkbook and a cell phone were found on property on the corner of William and South Washington streets.

11:50 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred on South Stewart Street.

1:20 p.m., theft — A caller said a Pak 'n Sav shopping cart was thrown over a fence behind a business on Sanguinetti Road.

3 p.m., fire — A woman's car caught on fire in a parking lot on the 900 block of Mono Way.

3:10 p.m., assault — A vehicle struck a pedestrian on South Shepherd Street.

4:23 p.m., found property — A caller said a child found an ax under some stairs in a parking lot on Stockton Road.

4:43 p.m., medical aid — A skate boarder crashed and needed medical assistance on the 800 block of Shaws Flat Road.

7:11 p.m., animal complaints — A woman on the 800 block of Oakside Drive said her dog had been stolen.

11:06 p.m., public intoxication — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after an argument outside a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9 a.m., theft — An employee of a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road said $900 was stolen last week.

1:05 p.m., parking — A man said a vehicle was blocking his garage on the 100 block of North Shepherd Street.

8:08 p.m., traffic violation — A man said he was following a vehicle on Hope Lane that was throwing beer bottles and lit cigarettes out the windows.

9:59 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An older woman came into another woman's home on the first block of North Washington Street, screaming that she owned the building.

11:51 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a large group of people were standing in the road in front of a business on the first block of South Stewart Street.

YESTERDAY

1:55 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A police officer found someone down on the ground in front of a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

4:53 p.m., Sonora — David William McBride, 52, 400 block of Mt. Everest Court, Modesto, booked on a warrant charging him with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, violating his probation and failure to appear in court. He was brought to the Tuolumne County Jail from the Stanislaus County Jail and remained held without bail this morning.

Gwen Ellen Taylor, 48, 12100 block of Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, booked at 2:15 p.m. Friday after arrest on Jamestown Road south of Mt. Brow Road, Sonora.

Charles Phillip Blackwell, 36, 22000 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, Sonora, booked at 2:38 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Lytton Street at Maple Street, Sonora.

Matthew Allen Kellogg, 25, 800 block of East Oakside Street, Sonora, booked at 3:20 a.m. Saturday after arrest on East Oakside Street at East Bald Mountain Road, Sonora.

Fire calls

YESTERDAY

1:45 a.m., west county — A tire rim falling off a 2002 GMC pickup owned by Kevin Cruz of Modesto caused sparks that started a small spot fire off Highway 108 just west of Highway J-59. Responding were the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department.

8 a.m., Groveland — A small fire on the porch of a home owned by Chuck Berchoiss on the 12900 block of Wells Fargo Drive caused $500 damage to the porch. Cause of the fire is under investigation. Responding were CDF and TCFD.

8:40 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said three-wheelers were causing damage to property on the 9100 block of Montero Road.

9:04 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said there were nails in Silver Rapids Road.

10:17 a.m., Copperopolis — A man said protesters on Ambrosia Court were making too much noise. The protesters were told not to use a bull horn or block vehicles.

12:37 p.m., San Andreas — A Harris Food Mart Exxon employees said a man and a woman on a motorcycle drove off without paying for their gas.

2:30 p.m., Arnold — A caller said lights on the outside of a home on the 1700 block of Bonanza Way were vandalized.

3:52 p.m., Dorrington — A caller said a computer was stolen on the 1500 block of Gallows Road.

6:51 p.m., San Andreas — A caller from a business on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street said two intoxicated people were fighting nearby.

9:05 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said kids were in a house under construction on the 200 block of North California Street.

9:24 p.m., West Point — A break-in was reported on the 300 block of Dowling Road.

7:14 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a transient couple was sleeping at a business on the 200 block of Highway 12.

9:03 a.m., West Point — A caller said a modular home was left on the side of Dorothy Way after neighbors threatened the crew with lawsuits for any damage done during its transportation.

1:06 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a bad cashier's check was given to a salesperson on the 7800 block of Nall Street.

1:41 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a child hit another child with a purse full of rocks on the 2200 block of McCall Street.

5:32 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said two people were arguing at Turner Park.

6 p.m., Murphys — A caller said a house on the 1200 block of Roaring Camp Road was broken into.

9:03 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said fireworks were being set off near the 600 block of Gold Oak Road.

10:32 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said about five kids were outside on the first block of Highway 26 drinking beer.

12:18 a.m., Arnold — A caller reported a prowler on the 2600 block of Black Oak Drive.

8:19 a.m., Angels Camp — A caller said plants were stolen from inside a locked building on the 900 block of Stork Road.

8:45 a.m., Arnold — A caller said a business on the 2100 block of Highway 4 was broken into.

9:37 a.m., Arnold — A caller said a person was shooting BB guns at cats on the 2700 block of Valley View Drive.

2:11 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said there was a theft on the 2100 block of Leonard Road.

6:40 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller said a vehicle was trying to break open a gate on the first block of Cosmic Court.

Fires

SATURDAY

11 a.m., Forest Meadows — A fire to the engine compartment of a 1978 pickup owned by Frank Flores of Murphys caused $500 to the pickup. Flores suffered minor burns to his hands and arms trying to put the fire out. Responding were the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District.

YESTERDAY

7:30 p.m., Arnold — About $2,500 damage was caused to a pickup truck bed owned by Derek Nordio. The pickup was parked at his home in a mobile home park on the 4400 block of Moran Road. Cause of the fire is under investigation. Responding were CDF and Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District.
