Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

2:18 a.m., Jamestown — A Chip's Chevron clerk said two teens in orange shirts stole two 12-packs of beer from the convenience store on the 18100 block of Highway 108 and ran off toward Preston Lane.

4:24 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road said a man in his 20s wearing a light-colored sweatshirt and a baseball cap was looking into cars at Twin Pines Mobilehome Park.

9:12 a.m., Twain Harte — A caller said someone used bolt cutters and a saw to break into the money box of a water vending machine in front of Twain Harte Market on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive.

10:15 a.m., Strawberry — A caller said two men in a green pickup dumped a pointer-type dog off Highway 108 about five miles east of Strawberry, then drove away, headed west.

10:28 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a golf bag was stolen from the back of a pickup parked at Twain Harte Golf Course on Meadow Drive.

10:42 p.m., Jamestown — A 1973 Ford pickup parked on Highway 108 near Rawhide Road with a "for sale" sign on it was stolen.

10:43 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22600 block of Spruce Drive said a man kicked in the windshield of her car, then drove off in a dark blue pickup.

11:10 a.m., Tulloch Reservoir area — A man said someone tried to steal his truck parked on Lake Tulloch Road below the dam spillway. A stereo faceplate was stolen and a knife was stuck into the ignition switch.

1:39 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man on the 22000 block of Elizabeth Lane said a neighbor was videotaping the man and his friends overnight.

2:48 p.m., Big Hill — A woman said trash was illegally dumped over the side of Covington Road near an overlook.

3:10 p.m., Wards Ferry area — A woman said a hand-held computer was stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked on the 18000 block of Tinnin Road.

4 p.m., Big Hill — A woman on the 22400 block of Gunsight Road said her husband was outside the house beating up a man who was allegedly an ex-felon the man did not want at the house.

6:50 p.m., Tuolumne — A clerk at a Tuolumne Square business said a teenage boy, who had been told by the store owner to stay off the property, was in the store parking lot with five or six other teens.

7:25 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said two men, one of whom was holding a gun, in a silver car were crossing the one-lane bridge on Rawhide Road.

8:54 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18000 block of Seco Street said a bedroom in the house was ransacked while he was away, but nothing was stolen.

10:47 p.m., Groveland — A man calling from a Richmond hospital said he was there being treated for a cut above his left eye he received from an assault at a camp on Mather Road.

11:30 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17700 block of Woods Way said her tires were slashed and the spouse of the person who did it agreed to take care of the damages.

Felony bookings

SUNDAY

1:44 a.m., Sonora — Jami Lee Robinson, 26, 8900 block of Highway 49, Sonora, booked on a Nevada County warrant charging him with vehicle theft and violating probation after an arrest on the 100 block of South Washington Street by a Sonora police officer. He remained held this morning without bail.

6 p.m., Twain Harte — Jerry Lee Hutson, 44, 800 block of Minaret Street, Turlock, booked on a Stanislaus County warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 108 at Twain Harte Drive by a California Highway Patrol officer who stopped Hutson for a traffic violation.

He remained held this morning in lieu of $50,500 bail.

YESTERDAY

1:37 a.m., Sonora — Wendy Lou Fields, 29, 18200 block of Berry Lane, Sonora, booked on an Amador County warrant charging her with possessing a controlled substance and failure to appear for a court date after an arrest on the 13400 block of Highway 108. She was held without bail this morning.

1:40 a.m., Jamestown — Elizabeth Jean Myers, 18, undisclosed address on Seventh Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and warrants charging her with possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Alder Alley at Seventh Street.

She remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Robert Pierson, 76, 21600 block of Wasatch Mountain Drive, Sonora, booked at 1:45 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Highway 108 at Twain Harte Drive, Twain Harte.

Donald Patrick English, 47, 3300 block of Calvin Avenue, San Jose, booked at 5:35 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Highway 108 at mile marker 400, near the Stanislaus County line.

Sonora police reports

SUNDAY

1:19 a.m., liquor violations — A caller said 15 teens were in a parking lot on Green Street at Stockton Road drinking alcohol.

1:37 a.m., warrant arrest — A 26-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

2:23 a.m., vehicle theft — A man said his blue Honda Accord parked on the 90 block of Summit Avenue was stolen. The theft turned out to be a practical joke played on the man for his birthday.

2:25 a.m., miscellaneous — A Sonora Community Hospital security officer said three men were loitering in front of the emergency room. One man was urinating in public and another was being hostile.

8:26 a.m., burglary — A man said his vehicle parked on Hope Lane was broken into and items were stolen.

8:28 a.m., animal complaints — A man said a brown bulldog was loose near the 200 block of Hospital Road. The man said he had been bitten by this dog once before.

7:21 p.m., public intoxication — A caller said a man sitting on steps on the 100 block of Stockton Road was drunk and swearing at people walking by.

11:47 p.m., traffic violation — A 17-year-old teen was cited for driving without a license after a traffic stop on Jack Page Road near Highway 49.

8:19 a.m., Vallecito — A residence on the 3700 block of Main Street was vandalized.

10:25 a.m., Copperopolis — Vandalism was reported on the 7200 block of O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

2:17 p.m., Valley Springs — There was an argument between family members reported on the 4700 block of Dunn Road.

4:07 p.m., Murphys — A caller reported people in the street causing a disturbance on the 600 block of Williams Street.

5:23 p.m., Arnold — A cabin was reportedly broken into on the 1700 block of Deer Run Way.

5:25 p.m., Vallecito — A caller reported three shirtless men walking down Natural Bridges Trail, off Highway 4, possibly under the influence of alcohol and carrying firearms.

8:39 p.m., West Point — A caller reported hearing four shots on Pine Cone Way.
