Sheriff's report

THURSDAY

8:31 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said for three mornings in a row she has noticed a man wearing a bandana sitting in an orange car near a school bus stop on Woodham Carne and Yosemite roads.

9:06 a.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road found a screen was cut on a bathroom window of her home.

12:09 p.m., Race Track Road area — A man on the 11000 block of Race Track Road said shots were fired from behind his house and some of the rounds were flying near his house.

1:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 21600 block of Slope Lane said his house was burglarized in the last five weeks.

3:08 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said her son went to the mail box on Soulsbyville Road and two men in a green older pickup tried to grab him. A deputy checked the area but did not find the men or the truck.

3:11 p.m., Tuolumne — A Summerville High School employee said computer equipment, a stereo, CDs and a day planner were stolen, possibly last Saturday.

3:19 p.m., Jamestown — Tuolumne County Animal Control workers said a man upset because he was not allowed to adopt a dog tried to kick in a door at the animal shelter on Victoria Way.

4:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A Twain Harte Elementary School custodian said six boys were skateboarding at the upper campus near the gymnasium.

4:39 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 17000 block of Seco Street said his neighbor is walking around with a rifle.

6:44 p.m., Columbia — A man said two vehicles were parked on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road using welding tools that were creating sparks. The caller was worried about fire.

8:48 p.m., Yosemite Junction — A man said portable toilets on the 7500 block of Highway 120 were vandalized.

11:01 p.m., Standard area — A security guard at Interfaith on Striker Court said drivers in two vehicles dumped tires, then drove off toward Tuolumne.

FRIDAY

10:03 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 29500 block of Italian Bar Road reported the theft of a chain saw, electric saw, marine paint and several other items from a storage shed.

11:59 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said a cabin on the 19100 block of Middle Camp Road has been burglarized.

12:41 p.m., Shaws Flat area — A woman on the 20700 block of Keeley Drive she she found a suspicious package, without a name or address on it, left in her driveway.

1:17 p.m., Tuolumne area — A woman on the 18200 block of Woodham Carne Road said an oak tree fell on her and her neighbor's properties.

2:40 p.m., Groveland — A woman on the 11000 block of Yosemite Springs Road said two rifles were taken from her home.

4:31 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 15200 block of Cavalieri Road said his home was burglarized. A digital video camera was among the items taken.

8:37 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a man on the 17900 block of Lucky Strike Trail was holding a knife to his neck and said he was going to kill himself. The man followed her son home, the woman said.

9:09 p.m., Sonora area — A man said three kids were hanging around a parking lot on the 14500 block of Mono Way. One of the three kids was lying down with a blanket over him, the man said.

SATURDAY

9:14 a.m., Groveland — A woman on the 2100 block of Owl Court said her phone lines had been cut.

12:16 p.m., East Sonora — A caller from Jack in the Box, on the 13700 block of Mono Way, said a counterfeit $100 bill had been used that morning.

1 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said someone stole a $550 water heater from a home on the 9900 block of Highway 49. The thieves removed siding from the home and entered the basement, the caller said.

1:24 p.m., west county — A man on Green Spring Road reported a storage shed with camping, boating and fishing equipment was burglarized. The shed itself was also taken, he said.

5:08 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman on the 21700 block of Crystal Falls Drive said a home was burglarized the previous night.

6:18 p.m., Tuolumne area — A man on the 13500 block of Hatler Drive said his home had been burglarized and a gun was stolen.

7:30 p.m., Groveland — A man said he was told about a fist fight involving two men at an RV park on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120.

9:48 p.m., Columbia area — A woman said a man standing in his yard on Big Hill Road pointed a rifle at her and her friend. After the weapon was pointed at her, the woman said she heard something hit a tree.

10:41 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said two men and a woman had shaken lamp posts at a parking lot on the 10300 block of Preston Lane and broke some of the lights.

SUNDAY

7:43 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on the 20500 block of Tracy Court said a man she did not know was on her back porch banging on her door. The man, who looked to be about 20 years old, walked around the back yard before asking the woman's husband for a ride home, she said. The man, who appeared to be on drugs, eventually left the yard and was last seen walking toward Livermore Court.

9:48 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said a teenage boy was yelling obscenities at passing vehicle on Carter Street during the night.

2:01 p.m., Tuolumne — An employee at a store on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road said a group of 15 juveniles were fighting out front.

3:25 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said a man claiming to be a police officer came to a restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way and tried to get back the money his mother used to pay for a meal. The caller asked to see the man's identification, and the man refused.

3:49 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on the 20600 block of Hekeke Lane said her sister hit her on the arms, back and neck. The sister also busted out the windows of a vehicle, the woman said.

3:51 p.m., Don Pedro — A woman with the Don Pedro Recreation District said a man damaged the boat ramp while pulling his boat. The boat was also damaged, she said.

5:56 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman said her car was vandalized after it got a flat tire on Phoenix Lake Road near Silver Dawn Drive. She parked the vehicle overnight, and when she returned, she found its front windshield and side windows had been broken out. There were also several dents in the vehicle, she said.

7:53 p.m., Pinecrest — A woman said speed boats were racing on Pinecrest Lake.

11:30 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 20400 block of Misty Lane said he arrived home and found someone had dumped several items in his yard.

11:42 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man at an undisclosed home on Highway 108 near Sierra Park Road said three boys were prowling around his next door neighbor's home. One came up to his house, the man said, but left after the man told him to "get out of here."

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

2:29 a.m., Columbia — Joshua Michael Hegel, 24, 11000 block of State Street, Columbia, booked on suspicion of damaging a telephone line and misdemeanor battery after an arrest at his home. He was released Thursday after posting $5,000 bail.

10:48 a.m., Wards Ferry area — Davon Jeanette Aberle, 30, 11000 block of State Street, Columbia, booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on the 18300 block of Wards Ferry Road.

According to a sheriff's department report, a couple was working in their yard on Thursday morning when a tall, thin woman with a camouflage shirt tied around her waist over her jeans came up to them and said people were trying to "get her." She then asked for a drink of water and left, the report said.

Shortly afterward, the couple was putting their tools away in a shed and the same woman was in the shed, the report said. The woman had taken two cans of black spray paint and put them into her pockets, then left, saying "I hope you're not mad at me."

The couple called the Sheriff's Department. When the deputy arrived he found a woman matching the description the couple gave nearby and questioned her. When she was searched the deputy found the spray paint and a spool of fishing line and arrested the woman, later identified as Aberle.

She remained held this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.

11:07 a.m., Columbia — Jerry Christopher Coey, 31, 200 block of North Washington Street, Sonora, booked on suspicion of parole violation after a traffic stop and arrest on Parrotts Ferry Road at Brewster Road. He remained held without bail this morning.

THURSDAY

10:45 a.m., fraudulent activities — A Save Mart employee said a check written to the store on a closed account was returned unpaid.

11:49 a.m., animal complaints — An officer was trying to catch a small, white dog running loose at Wal-Mart. The owner showed up and took the dog.

11:57 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in an accident on South Washington and East Church streets.

4:02 p.m., assault — A woman said a man hit her in the face on Sylva Drive. An officer took a report and forwarded it onto the district attorney's.

4:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said while she was at a stop sign on Hospital Road, a man with a receding hairline and thick glasses driving a white Volkswagen Jetta called her a derogatory name and made obscene sexual gestures, then drove off.

7:10 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a minor vehicle collision in a parking lot on Stockton Road.

8:38 p.m., theft — A woman said while visiting a residence on the 200 block of Bonanza Road her wallet was stolen from her purse.

FRIDAY

7:58 a.m., traffic accident — A caller said a truck jackknifed in a non-injury accident on Greenley Road.

10:30 a.m., miscellaneous — A caller said a man in a wheelchair had fallen over on the 12700 block of Mono Way.

2:51 p.m., traffic violation — A caller said a woman driving on Highway 108 attempted to pass two vehicles in a non-passing area and attempted to pass the caller on the right shoulder. She also threw a soda can at the caller's vehicle and flipped the caller off.

7:03 p.m., animal complaint — A woman on the 100 block of Upper Sunset Drive said she found a dead fawn in her orchard.

7:06 p.m., traffic accident — Two cars were involved in a non-injury accident in the Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot.

7:48 p.m., theft — A purse theft was reported at a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

8:01 p.m., theft — A woman said she saw two people steal the salt and pepper shakers from the Round Table Pizza on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

8:48 p.m., liquor violation complaint — A caller said a large group of underage people were drinking beer in the Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot. The group scattered when an officer drove up. Authorities were unable to find any violations.

SATURDAY

11:57 a.m., found property — A wallet was found on Sylva Lane and handed over to the Sonora Police Department. The owner later picked it up.

7:39 p.m., traffic accident — A woman said she witnessed a car hit a traffic control signal at the intersection of Jackson and Washington streets, then back up and travel in the wrong direction on Jackson.

9 p.m., theft — A 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. She was cited and released.

11:08 p.m., traffic violation — A 28-year-old woman was cited near the intersection of Stockton and South Forest roads on suspicion of driving without a license.

SUNDAY

1:54 a.m., public intoxication — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Stewart Street at Jackson Street.

8:34 p.m., parking — A man on the 800 block of Shaws Flat Road said a moving van was blocking his driveway.

9:12 p.m., assault — A woman was treated at Sonora Community Hospital for injuries received during an assault the previous night on the 100 block of Columbia Way, a caller said.

FRIDAY

8:41 a.m., San Andreas — A caller said a stereo and compact discs were taken from a vehicle on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street.

9:28 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller said the field at Copperopolis Elementary School had been vandalized.

4:13 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 200 block of East St. Charles Street said shoplifters had taken items from an unidentified business over the past two days.

4:59 p.m., Arnold — A stereo and speakers were reportedly stolen on the 1900 block of Jeannie Drive.

5:39 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller who was cleaning an apartment on the 200 block of Cedar Street said a man broke one of the unit's windows.

6:04 p.m., San Andreas — A man on the 300 block of High School Street said his billfold was missing and he thought he knew who took it.

7:26 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 6400 block of Bergesma Lane said two people were riding motorcycles near his home and destroying the property.

9:30 p.m., Jenny Lind — A caller at a home on the 11800 block of Main Street said a group of kids wouldn't leave after being asked to.

12:07 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a 19-year-old man stole alcohol from La Contenta Village Mart.

7:01 a.m., Copperopolis — A storage business on the first block of Copper Cove was reportedly burglarized.

12:16 p.m., Arnold — A caller said a ping-pong table was stolen from an open garage on the 1200 block of Spring Valley Way.

SUNDAY

12:15 a.m., Burson area — A caller said five men were harassing women at a business on the 11700 block of Wade Lane.

YESTERDAY

6:02 a.m., Calaveritas — A large tree was blocking traffic near Old Gulch Road.

1:52 p.m., West Point — A house on the 20000 block of Highway 26 was vandalized.

6:38 p.m., Angels Camp — A Bay area woman said a man with whom she was camping with hit her.

7:04 p.m., West Point — A caller said the propane tank behind the West Point library was leaking.
