Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

8:59 a.m., Sonora area — A caller saw the driver of a white Toyota pickup truck throw a lit cigarette out the window on Lyons-Bald Mountain Road.

11:14 a.m., Columbia area — A man on the 21800 block of Sawmill Flat Road said someone has used his name fraudulently to open a credit card account.

2:42 p.m., Standard — A woman said she left her vehicle parked at Standard Field and it was vandalized. She said the retractable headlights were damaged, the outside mirrors were broken and the hood and a door were damaged.

5:04 p.m., Columbia — A man said some teens were partying in vehicles on his property on Forest Park Drive and he wanted them to leave.

5:25 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a drunken man was at Tuolumne Market on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

6:47 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman fell inside a bathroom at Rocca Park and needed help getting up.

9:10 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her teenage daughter was assaulted by an older teenage girl at the skate park on Meadow Lane.

10:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A 24-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants on Twain Harte Drive near Highway 108 after a traffic stop.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

1 p.m., Tuolumne — Adam John Nevarez, 30, 2500 block of Park Street, Ceres, booked on suspicion of false impersonation and misdemeanor trespassing after an arrest on the 19300 block of Cherokee Road.

A caller said two men and a woman were at a neighbor's house who did not belong there. A deputy went to the house, questioned them all and arrested Nevarez, who told the deputy his name was Guadalupe Orlando Nevarez. His true identity was discovered when his fingerprints were checked at the jail.

Nevarez remained held this morning in lieu of $3,000.

3 p.m., Columbia — Eric Van Croft, 37, 11500 block of Yankee Hill Road, Columbia, booked on a felony parole hold after an arrest at his house. He was transferred to the California Department of Correction this morning.

YESTERDAY

1:05 a.m., East Sonora — Brandon Lee Smith, 20, 18200 block of Maple Alley, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging him with burglary and failure to appear in court and a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 108 at Hess Avenue. He remained held this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Patrick Bruce Siemans, 55, 400 block of Thayer Road, Santa Cruz, booked at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday after an arrest on Gold Street at South Stewart Street, Sonora.

Charges dropped

All charges against Benjamin Neil Roper, 24, of the 500 block of East Jackson Street, Sonora, have been dropped by the Tuolumne County District Attorney's office based on insufficient evidence.

Roper was driving a car Sept. 9 that was stopped by Sonora police for a traffic violation on South Stewart Street at Theall Street. Roper and his passenger, Glenn Robert Kolpack, 21, no address given, were both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a concealed deadly weapon after an officer found marijuana and knives in the car.

The charges still stand against Kolpack, who is being held at the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

WEDNESDAY

12:34 p.m., public intoxication — A caller on the 400 block of Greenley Road said a neighbor, who was possibly drunk, was yelling and harassing people.

4:49 p.m., lost property — A caller said a cellular telephone that was lost at a restaurant on South Washington Street had been used.

6:17 p.m., traffic accident — A 50-year-old man was cited for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on South Stewart Street.

7:51 a.m., Poker Flat — A caller on the 100 block of Oakhurst Court said items were stolen from a pontoon boat.

8:17 a.m., Copperopolis — There was a disturbance between roommates on the 1100 block of Sawmill Road.

1:12 p.m., Valley Springs — Campers said they had items stolen on Acorn Way.

5:49 p.m., Pine Grove — A caller said a truck was running people off the road on Highway 26.

7:18 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said kids were throwing rocks on the 3400 block of Double Springs Road.

7:41 p.m., West Point — A man said people have been camping on his property on the 100 block of Robinville Drive when he isn't there.

7:47 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said someone was going through trash bins behind a business on the 200 block of Highway 12.

11:08 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 2100 block of Arrowhead Street said a suspicious car was driving around vacation homes.

WEDNESDAY

11:15 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Athena Lynn Anderson, 22, 15300 block of Shake Ridge Road, Sutter Creek, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and violating a court stay-away order after an arrest on Center Street at Miwok Trail. No details were available. She remained held this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

1:50 p.m., San Andreas — Phyllis Dean Jones, 38, 2900 block of Waterloo Road, Stockton, booked on a warrant charging her with felony battery and assault with a deadly weapon after being brought to the county jail from the San Joaquin County Jail. She remained held this morning in lieu of $90,000 bail.

Jerry Edwin Broyles, 62, 4800 block of Darby Russell Road, Murphys, booked at 9:55 a.m. yesterday after an arrest on the 4800 block of Darby Russell Road, Murphys.

Scott David Scheid, 22, 8800 block of Garden Glen Way, Sacramento, booked at 7:45 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 49 at Gold Strike Road, San Andreas.

Johnny Dean Looney, 40, 2500 block of Murphys Grade Road, Murphys, booked at 3:35 a.m. today after arrest on Murphys Grade Road, Murphys.
