Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

8:18 a.m., Yosemite — The Mono County Sheriff's Office alerted Tuolumne County officials that a man left Dorothy Lake on horseback and didn't return. The man, aboard a gray horse with a western saddle, was wearing a western shirt, red suspenders, blue jeans, military-type hat and a denim jacket.

8:21 a.m., East Sonora — A woman calling from the 13700 block of Mono Way said she never received any paperwork for a $35,000 annuity she purchased from a bank three months ago. The caller was afraid she lost her money.

8:56 a.m., Jamestown — A woman calling from the 16800 block of Dutch Mine Road said a 12-year-old girl was making phone calls to her 11-year-old son.

10:56 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road said she could hear a domestic disturbance.

12:09 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller said her brother-in-law drove by her cabin and told her it looked as though several people were living there.

1:50 p.m., Jamestown — A woman calling from the 10700 block of Seventh Street said a neighbor and her son were threatening the caller and her family. The 14-year-old boy walked into the caller's house, ran upstairs and "got in her husband's face and started yelling."

3:41 p.m., Strawberry — A caller on 30800 Old Strawberry Road said a man was passed out in a gray pickup backed up into the driveway of a cabin the caller was remodeling.

4:48 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A woman calling from the 17600 block of Highway 120 said her husband put up no-parking signs and her neighbors tore them down.

5:12 p.m., La Grange — A caller on the Enramada Drive and Lazono Street said a 60-year-old woman with short, gray hair and wearing glasses was walking around carrying a rifle with a scope. The caller said "it looked like she was going to shoot someone's dog."

7:14 p.m., Big Hill — A woman on the 13300 block of Adelleana Lane said three men in a blue Dodge "jumped" the caller's boyfriend.

8:36 p.m., Twain Harte — A teenager calling from the 23700 block of Highway 108 said he had just burgled a house and wanted to confess because the other people involved in the burglary were threatening him.

9:22 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on the 23100 block of South Fork Road said a "suspicious smell" was making him sick.

9:34 p.m., Sonora area — A caller on an unknown block of Highway 108 said a woman claiming to have the caller's stolen cell phone — missing for two months — said she bought it from someone. Although the woman with the phone said she would return it, she never did.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

6:04 p.m., Jamestown — Jesse John Shaw, 20, 19600 block of Serrano Road, Sonora, booked on Preston Lane in Jamestown on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Shaw was held in lieu of $10,000 bail this morning.

3 p.m., Jamestown — David Brian Scaruffi, 53, 22900 block of Red Wing Trail, Twain Harte, and Jeanine Marie Bunch, 44, 10600 block of Seventh Ave., Jamestown, were booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after being arrested at Bunch's residence. Both remained jailed this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

1:31 p.m., Sonora — Mary Ann Crowley, 46, 13800 block of Northridge Road, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging her with check forgery and fraud. Crowley was already in custody and is being held without bail.

10 a.m., Columbia — Dalia Maria Hawley-Welch, 37, transient, booked on a Tuolumne County warrant charging her with the sale of marijuana after being arrested by the Bureau of Land Management on Yankee Hill Road. Hawley-Welch is being held without bail.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

8:09 a.m., animal complaint — A woman on the 600 block of Shaws Flat Road reported that "something drug a deer head into her front yard."

10:22 a.m., animal complaint — A woman calling from the 400 block of Greenley Road said she found several dead kittens next to an apartment complex Dumpster and said "the deaths were intentional."

3:44 p.m., traffic accident — Officers investigated a non-injury crash at Greenley Road and Mono Way.

4:26 p.m., theft — A cellular phone was reported stolen from a car at the Crossroads shopping center.

5:25 p.m., threats — A Sonora High student said his ex-girlfriend and two males ordered him to get off the school bus on the 400 block of Washington Street "so they could kick his butt." He declined.

7:43 p.m., hazardous situation — A pickup was reported parked on the Sierra Railroad tracks at South Washington Street and Hospital Road.

8:58 p.m., theft — A woman said her car keys were stolen while she was at a restaurant on Mono Way.

9:07 p.m., theft — Jewelry was reported stolen from a home on the 500 block of Dragoon Court.

YESTERDAY

10:26 a.m., burglary — A woman on the 200 block of South Barretta Street said her residence was broken into.

11:04 a.m., suspicious circumstance — A man on the 10900 block of Derby Drive said his 80-year-old father-in-law is being swindled over the phone out of a lot of money.

11:43 a.m., assault — A man said he was assaulted while sitting in his car on Greenley Road. The man who attacked him also broke his windshield, he said.

1:05 p.m., fraudulent activity — A woman said a stolen credit card was used at business on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

1:35 p.m., theft — A woman said a wallet was missing after it was left in a business on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

1:48 p.m., vandalism — A man said a vehicle's windows were broken and items were taken after it was parked overnight on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:10 p.m., burglary — A man on the first block of Summit Avenue reported a burglary.

7:20 p.m., theft — A man said a weather vane was stolen from a property on the 200 block of South Stewart Street and later recovered.

TODAY

2:50 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A woman said two young men were messing around with vehicles on the 200 block of Snell Street.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

MONDAY

8:36 a.m., San Andreas — People walking around at Calaveras High School were told to leave.

11:52 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Car tags were stolen from a vehicle on the 3000 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

1:37 p.m., Copperopolis — Flags were vandalized at the Villas at Calypso Bay subdivision at Tulloch Reservoir.

8:10 p.m., San Andreas — A caller reported a naked man getting into a white pickup at the intersection of Highway 49 and Fricot City Road.

10:22 p.m., San Andreas — Two or three people were seen climbing on the roof of the old county airport at the 800 block of Highway 49.
