The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:01 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A toddler was heard screaming in a dark house for several minutes on North Stewart Street. Things were quiet and not suspicious when officers arrived. 

8:35 a.m., threats — Threats were reported at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

8:49 a.m., assault — An assault report was forwarded to the Sheriff’s Office from a caller on Fairview Lane.

10:50 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred on Greenley Road.

1:32 p.m., animal complaints — A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after a disturbance involving a Chihuahua on North Washington Street.

1:52 p.m., suspicious person — A man advised police that he saw a woman inhaling drugs on the railroad tracks who was armed and “very spaced out” on Monday near Hospital Road.

7:52 p.m., theft — Merchandise was recovered from an alleged theft at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road but the suspect was not found.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:13 a.m., Columbia — A woman was concerned that her neighbor is cutting her horses’ hair and feeding them celery on Yankee Hill Road.

9:56 a.m., Columbia — An unlocked vehicle was reportedly broken into and a house key, pepper spray, change and mail were taken on Columbia Village Drive.

11:34 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported a fraudulent check being sent in payment for an online sale on Preston Lane. 

11:47 a.m., Sonora — A mountain lion was reportedly eating cat food in front of the U.S. Forest Service office at 6 a.m. on Greenley Road.

12:47 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said her purse was stolen or lost the night before at a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

3:47 p.m., Don Pedro area — Trash was dumped on a property at Highway 59 and Old Don Pedro Road. The trash included information with a person’s name.

3:52 p.m., Sonora — Jewelry was stolen on Tuolumne Road.

5:18 p.m., Sonora — A man “snapped” and started hitting family members before walking away on Chukar Circle. 

8:20 p.m., Sonora — A Brook Drive woman reported someone getting into her house and moving things into obvious places for her to see.


12:02 a.m., Groveland — A woman said a man believed to be on drugs threatened to “bash her head in” before driving away from Smith Station Road.

6:34 a.m., Jamestown — A vehicle was hit on Preston Lane.

7 a.m., Groveland — A woman on Mueller Drive said information from her checking account was used to write fraudulent checks. 

Felony bookings:


12:24 a.m., Soulsbyville — Frankie Denise Rogers, 56, of the 20800 block of Keith Court, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a person and misdemeanor violation of a court order. 

3:10 p.m., Jamestown area — Victoria Lynn Brown, 25, of Antioch, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, drug possession for sale and transporting drugs after an arrest at Sierra Conservation Center on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:03 a.m., San Andreas — Someone was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant at the county jail on Mountain Ranch Road.

11:37 a.m., Copperopolis — A bad check was reported on Copper Hills Drive.

12:24 p.m., West Point — An ATV was reported stolen from a garage on Highway 26.

6:33 p.m., West Point — A break-in and people possible squatting was reported on Bucksaw Lane.

6:33 p.m., West Point — An arrest was made on local misdemeanor warrants on Main Street. 

10:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone may have seen flashlights in a vacant home on McCauley Road.

11:50 p.m., Copperopolis — A report was taken for criminal contempt on Bridle Point Circle. 

Felony bookings:


12:15 p.m., Arnold — David Gene Edward, Jr., 23, of Longman Lane, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and driving with a suspended license after an arrest on El Dorado Drive.

7:15 p.m., West Point — Wade Clinton Springer, 47, of the 200 block of Rail Road Flat Road, Rail Road Flat, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon after an arrest on the 2800 block of Egenhoff Road.
