The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
10:46 a.m., theft — Someone called in a late-reported theft of a pizza on West Stockton Road.
1:35 p.m., reckless driving — A report was taken for reckless driving at Sonora High on North Washington Street after a student drove through a crosswalk while others were crossing.
2:30 p.m., vandalism — A bathroom was vandalized at Sonora High.
2:45 p.m., theft — A 28-year-old woman was cited and released on suspicion of shoplifting at a business on Sanguinetti Road.
3:04 p.m., fraud — An unknown suspect accessed someone’s debit card on Lyons Bald Mountain Road.
3:33 p.m., animal complaints — Someone filed a report after being bitten by an animal on East Jackson Street.
3:38 p.m., theft — Someone stole a cell phone from a woman’s 11-year-old son at the skate park on Greenley Road.
4 p.m., forgery — A woman said someone cashed a forged check at her bank on South Washington Street.
11:45 p.m., public intoxication — Someone spotted a man tipping over trash cans near North Washington and East Cowan streets. Police officers contacted him a short distance away and arrested him on suspicion of public intoxication. The 28-year-old man was detained at Tuolumne County Jail but wasn’t charged with a crime. Police officers picked up the garbage cans that were knocked over into the roadway.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
8:38 a.m., Groveland — A man said that another man walked up to him, cussed at him and then threw a cup of hot coffee at him on the 18700 block of Main Street. Sheriff’s deputies were requested and a report for assault was filed.
9:59 a.m., Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge — A red canoe worth $490 was stolen from under a dock at Phoenix Lake on the 14700 block of Lakeside Drive.
10:29 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her estranged daughter-in-law entered her property on the 21800 block of Cedar Springs Road on Sept. 5, stole three collector’s dolls worth more than $5,000 combined and burned them.
10:32 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone on the 21200 block of Tuolumne Road North reported the theft of a package that FedEx states was delivered.
12:08 p.m., Sonora area — Someone witnessed a driver throw a yellow plastic bag of garbage from a gray Ford Taurus at Campo Seco and Lime Kiln roads.
1:20 p.m., Columbia — A roughly 300-pound white goat with a yellow ear tag wandered onto a person’s property on the 14700 block of Northridge Road. Information was sent to the county Animal Control.
2:18 p.m., Sonora area — Someone on the 21400 Ridgeview Road filed a report for fraud. The victim received a call from a woman claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House and ultimately sent her $2,200 via Western Union.
6:59 p.m., Jamestown — Someone saw two males fighting at Highway 108 and Woods Way. One had a bicycle and both appeared to be drunk. Another person called to say one of them pulled a double-edged knife on the other. Sheriff’s deputies responded and searched the surrounding areas but didn’t find any suspects. A California Highway Patrol officer spoke to a man on a green bicycle, but he denied being in a fight.
2:20 a.m., Jamestown area — Cynthia Ann Cortinas, 47, of an unknown block on C Street, Empire; Gustavo Murillo Vega, 52, of the 3000 block of East Fourth Street, National City; and Gerald Ronald Wagoner, 58, of the 400 block of Hydrangea Court, Merced, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after arrests on Highway 108 east of Yosemite Junction.
3:27 a.m., Sonora area — Jennifer Adrine Gower, 31, of the 1800 block of Third Avenue, Jamestown, and Roy Wesley Blackwood, 49, of the 3700 block of Iowa Street, Riverbank, were booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs, after arrests at Mono Way and Highway 108.
10:18 p.m., Chinese Camp — Jesse Alan Tank, 27, of the 1900 block of East F Street, Oakdale, and Donald Alexander Pagni, 49, of the 500 block of East H Street, Oakdale, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after arrests at Highway 120 and Sims Road.
Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:
11:16 p.m., Jamestown — Joe Homero Serna, 57, of the 3800 block of Sharpsburg Drive, Modesto, was arrested on Highway 49 at High School Road.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
1:36 p.m., San Andreas — A theft occurred on Mountain Ranch Road.
4:31 p.m., Valley Springs — A theft occurred on Heney Lane.
6:35 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing on Mountain Ranch Road.
10:50 p.m., Angels Camp — Christian Brent Corson, 34, of the 21800 block of Crystal Falls Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possessing concentrated marijuana, after an arrest on the 200 block of South Main Street.
