The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
1:26 p.m., theft — Someone stole a chess board on Columbia Way.
1:41 p.m., controlled substances — Three Sonora High students were arrested and transported from the campus to the probation department on suspicion of drug violations.
5:50 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle crashed into a building on South Washington Street. The driver was not intoxicated. A police report was taken.
7:20 p.m., animal complaints — A man was bitten by a dog while riding his bicycle on Shaws Flat Road but declined medical assistance.
7:21 p.m., theft — Someone reported a theft that occurred about an hour prior to the call, at a business on Sanguinetti Road.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
9:12 a.m., Strawberry — Someone reported an overdue semi-truck driver who had been delivering something to Juniper Mine in the Eagle Meadows area. He was due back the previous night but never returned. U.S. Forest Service dispatcher found out the driver had jackknifed his truck about 3.5 miles outside of Juniper Mine and was uninjured.
11:02 a.m., Jamestown — Someone stole batteries and a $300 tent from a storage unit at a business on the 6800 block of O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
11:15 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone on the 20500 block of Canyonview Drive called to report that two fraudulent charges totaling more than $80 had been charged to a bank account.
12:12 p.m., Sonora area — Someone on the 18300 block of Toyon Way said credit card accounts had been fraudulently accessed and maxed out. The caller apparently had previous issues with someone trying to sell their dogs online and knew the possible suspect.
2:56 p.m., Jamestown area — Someone saw a man hiking around carrying a high-powered rifle with a scope on a trail near the O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge. The person got there in a small fishing boat that was tied up near a trailhead. Information on possible poaching was given to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
3:06 p.m., Jamestown — Some couches and other household items were dumped a few nights ago at Algerine and Twist roads.
4:01 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 20600 block of Kings Court said his truck was stolen last week with his wallet inside and someone had used his Wells Fargo debit card in Portland, Ore. Information was given to Portland police.
6:04 p.m., Sonora area — Baseball equipment was stolen from the bed of a boy’s pickup truck when it was parked earlier that day at Sonora High School.
9:13 a.m., Sonora — Alexander Nathan Parra, 22, no known address, was booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs, after an arrest on the 100 block of North Stewart Street.
11:48 a.m., Sonora — Heather Daisy Asquith, 20, of the 22600 block of Wildcat Ridge Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 100 block of North Washington Street.
7 p.m., Jamestown — Bruce Alan McDonald, 60, of the 10500 block of Windmill Lane, was booked on suspicion of owning, possessing or purchasing a firearm with a prior misdemeanor conviction, after an arrest at his home.
7:34 p.m., Jamestown — Ashlyn Lee Francis, 19, of the 10100 block of Shady Lane, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on Fallen Leaf Road.
Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:
12:45 a.m., Sonora area — Amy Eaton, 51, of the 19500 block of Plum Court, was arrested at Stockton Road and Solinsky Street.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
7:58 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A Jesus Maria Road resident said a neighbor was acting strangely and possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
9:07 a.m., Murphys — Someone said a 50-foot motor home had been parked on Main Street for the past two days and was blocking the public’s view of a business.
12:32 p.m., Angels Camp — Copper and other items were reported stolen on Stallion Way.
2:12 p.m., Arnold — Residents on Camanche Drive reported a case of vandalism.
2:47 p.m., San Andreas — A man pushing a pink baby stroller with a 6-month-old in it at East St. Charles Street and Treat Avenue was yelling, “Taking baby to the doctor!” but no one else was with him.
4:39 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone on Whiskey Slide Road said a woman stole medications and a tattoo gun from her adult child, who was in jail.
7:26 p.m., Camp Connell — A burglary occurred on Shoshone Drive.
4:55 p.m., San Andreas — Sabrina Louise Williams, 19, of the 100 block of Court Street, was booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit crime, soliciting criminal acts and drug possession, after an arrest at her home.
