The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7:44 a.m., Wallace — A post office on South Camanche Parkway was vandalized.

3:33 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — There was a burglary on Indian Gulch Road. 

5 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A burglary was reported on Italian Vista Drive.

8:56 p.m., West Point — A gun was stolen on Veterans Lane.


2:13 p.m., Campo Seco — A home was broken into on Gillam Street.

9:16 p.m., San Andreas — A person was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Russell Road at W. St. Charles Street.


10:48 p.m., San Andreas — Battery was reported on Pope Street.

Felony bookings


9:35 a.m., San Andreas — Michael David Thein III, 25, of an unknown address, booked on suspicion of drug possession and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, after an arrest on the 3600 block of Highway 49.


12:36 a.m., Arnold — William Charles Cullen, 23, of the 200 block of Russell Drive, booked on suspicion of transporting narcotics, narcotic possession and misdemeanors carrying a loaded gun in public, possession of drugs without a prescription, furnishing drugs and driving on a suspended license, after an arrest on Highway 4 at the Red Apple.


3:45 a.m., Angels Camp — Skye Calvert Ruggieri, 38, of the 300 block of Surrey Lane, Murphys, booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on Utica Lane.


The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


1 a.m., Jamestown — A man said another man head-butted him at a club on the 14400 block of Highway 108.

2:49 p.m., Jamestown — A man said his car was stolen by hitchhikers he picked up on Eighth Avenue at Eighth Street. He said he picked up a man and woman and the man pulled a knife on him, after accusing him of soliciting sex from someone. The male hitchhiker swung the knife at the driver, cutting his hand, so the driver got out of the car to run and the couple took off in his vehicle.

5:34 p.m., Twain Harte — A home was broken into on the 23400 block of Cypress Circle. Jewelry, cash, coins, electronics, guns, alcohol and a chain saw were stolen.


1:05 p.m., Sonora area — A man said his wallet was stolen from his truck on McKamey Court and someone used his debit card at two mini marts.

4:24 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A home was broken into on Haiapo Road.


1:16 a.m., Twain Harte — A man dressed as Betty from the Flintstones was kicked out of a bar on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive and was causing a disturbance. He ended up being assaulted and taken to the hospital.

3:18 a.m., Twain Harte — A man allegedly hit someone with a crow bar on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive and then was arrested. 

8:47 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A shed was broken into on the 15100 block of Potato Ranch Road and tools were stolen.

10:34 a.m., Jamestown — A donkey pulling a wagon full of items was dropping Christmas decorations along Wigwam Road.

9:43 a.m., Sonora area — Eric James Taylor, 31, of the 12800 block of Chukar Circle, booked on suspicion of drug possession and receiving stolen property, after an arrest on Chukar Circle at Grouse Way. 


11:43 a.m., Sonora area — Tonya Ann McElwarth, 29, of the 10700 block of Morris Road, booked on suspicion of transporting narcotics and misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and obstructing an officer after an arrest Mono Way east of Fir Drive.


4:58 a.m., Twain Harte — Matthew David Bills, 28, of the 22200 block of Crystal Falls Drive, Sonora, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor disobeying a court order, after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:52 a.m., Sonora area — Chad Allen Koenig, 25, of the 15200 block of Mountain Lily Road, arrested at Gibbs Drive at Manzanita Court.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:03 a.m., theft — Four tires were stolen off of a vehicle on Morning Star Drive.

5:53 p.m., burglary — A home was broken into on Hope Lane.


3:18 a.m., public intoxication — A man entered someone’s apartment and passed out on the couch and was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

4:05 p.m., public intoxication — A 16-year-old boy was cited and released to his guardian for public intoxication on Green Street.

8:49 p.m., assault — A man was found assaulted on Hospital Road. 

10:02 p.m., public intoxication — A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Restano Way.


7:10 p.m., public intoxication — A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Washington Street.
