11:04 a.m., Soulsbyville — A student brought a shotgun shell and firecrackers to Soulsbyville Elementary School. The school said it would handle discipline, and the boy was released to his father.

11:27 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 10600 block of Ninth Street said he lost his wallet about four months ago and now someone has a cable television account in his name.

1:49 p.m., Jamestown — A man found drug paraphernalia in Rocca Park at Main and Smoke streets.

3:54 p.m., Twain Harte — A man’s truck was burglarized while parked in front of a business on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive. Tools, $350 cash and prescription pain medication were taken.

4:09 p.m., Sonora area — Sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle on the 9800 block of Highway 49.

4:43 p.m., Jamestown — Someone burglarized a man’s car at a business on the 14400 block of Highway 108 and disconnected his car battery.

4:49 p.m., Columbia — An intoxicated man was wearing boxing gloves and wanting to fight customers outside of a business on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. He was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

3 p.m., Sonora — Brice Wayne Johnson, 25, of the 11300 block of Wards Ferry Road, Big Oak Flat, was booked on suspicion of felony possession of ammunition, after an arrest at the Tuolumne County Probation Department.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:42 p.m., assault — Someone observed six male juveniles attempting to beat up another boy with rocks near a business on Mono Way. The group dispersed and officers contacted the victim, who had a bloody nose but refused medical treatment and declined to press charges.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:06 a.m., Murphys — Someone broke into the outside freezer at a business on Main Street.

12:12 p.m., Arnold — A cabin was burglarized on El Dorado Drive.

12:16 p.m., Valley Springs — Tools and other items were stolen from a storage unit on Highway 26.

1:40 p.m., San Andreas — A 29-year-old man went into a business on East St. Charles Street and filled an empty cup with beer. He then ordered breakfast, canceled it and left. He was located walking around other businesses and arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

3:36 p.m., Murphys — Gas was stolen on French Gulch Road.

5:06 p.m., West Point — Someone found a white plastic bag with bones inside and a noose tied around it on Highway 26 near the Amador County Line. A Sheriff’s deputy determined it was deer remains.

6:32 p.m., Dorrington — A house was burglarized on Hangtree Trail.

8:34 p.m., Jenny Lind — Multiple vehicles were broken into on Daphne Street.


4:48 a.m., Murphys — A woman on Scott Street said her dogs were barking and she believed a prowler was outside. It turned out to be a dog that got tangled up in her yard decorations. Animal services responded and took the dog.

5:30 p.m., San Andreas area — Mark Allen Moore, 42, of the 1400 block of Leonard Road, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, after an arrest on the 7100 block of Pool Station Road.
