Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:51 a.m., Chinese Camp — A woman on Six Bit Ranch Road said her neighbor saw two men in her pasture, driving a black Toyota pickup, taking down a fence.

10:13 a.m., Jamestown area — A caller on the 10600 block of Quartz Alley said someone was walking on her roof. A deputy arrived and took a woman away for a mental health evaluation.

10:51 a.m., Sunshine Camp — A man said trespassers were living on his Jack Rabbit Trail property in a 30-foot trailer.

12:17 p.m., Curtis Creek Ranch — A man on the 19100 block of Barron Ranch Road said his landlord threw a hammer through the rear window of his vehicle. The man said his landlord wanted him to move out. The landlord wanted to put all the man's belongings into the locked car, so he smashed the window to get a door open.

2:36 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a suspicious man was hanging around her apartment complex, on the 10200 block of Preston Lane. She said the man was using her hose to take a shower.

3:49 p.m., Jamestown area — A Chinese Camp Elementary School bus driver said when he dropped a student off on the 14400 block of Highway 108, a woman came out of a motel to say there was a fight going on in one of the rooms.

10:31 p.m., East Sonora — An Albertson's store manager said two men were riding grocery carts around the store and refused to leave.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

5:54 p.m., Sonora area — A 44-year-old Sonora woman was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at her home. A sheriff's report said she hit her ex-husband several times then threw a gasoline can at him after an argument over her driving his car while under the influence. She remained in custody this morning, held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

10:05 p.m., Jamestown area — Ronelle Bernice Meier, 46, 18700 block of Shell Road, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging her with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a controlled substance after an arrest at a house on Shell Road.

Two other people at the house were also arrested on misdemeanor warrants.

Meier remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Richard Edward DeCampos, 49, 400 block of Old Natividad Road, Monterey, booked at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Fountain Circle, Groveland. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license previously suspended for a drunken-driving conviction.

Fire

WEDNESDAY

10:50 a.m., Jamestown area — An illegal debris burn was reported on the 16700 block of Chicken Ranch Road. No dollar damage was reported. Robert Hayton of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Jamestown Fire Protection District responded.

Sonora police reports

10:14 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured when a motor home struck a building on Stockton Road near Green Street.

11:07 a.m., found property — A man found an identification card on the 20 block of South Washington Street and turned it over to the police department.

1:34 p.m., animal complaints — An animal control officer talked with a man who found a bat on the 90 block of South Forest Road.

1:50 p.m., animal complaints — A fawn hit by a car on Stockton Road was taken to a veterinarian.

6:52 p.m., citizen assist — A tow truck driver asked for a police officer to help him remove a car from a parking lot on the 400 block of Stockton Road.

8:22 p.m., citizen assist — A citizen flagged down an officer to go to the Wal-Mart parking lot on Sanguinetti Road because someone was driving recklessly in the lot.

11:11 p.m., Murphys — Someone reported an unruly patron at a bar in Murphys.
