Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

7:23 a.m., Jamestown — A 1992 teal Chevy pickup truck, license plate number 4N05146, was stolen from a house on the 17900 block of Seco Street.

7:37 a.m., Jamestown — A sheriff's sergeant reported a disturbance at Jamestown Community Day School on the 10300 block of Ninth Street.

8:28 a.m., Tuolumne —A woman said her vehicle parked on the 18500 block of Pine Street was broken into and items stolen.

9:48 a.m., Twain Harte — A Sheriff's Community Service Unit volunteer found a tape case by the front door of the CSU building on the 22600 block of Meadow Drive.

11:38 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a man tried to sell her daughter drugs. When the daughter refused, the man tried to force his way into the house on the 18000 block of Carter Street.

2:14 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A woman reported an ongoing problem between her son and a teenage boy in their neighborhood.

2:21 p.m., Wards Ferry Road area — A woman said political bumper stickers had been put on road signs in the area.

2:41 p.m., Columbia — A woman said another woman, due to be released from prison in December, has been making death threats.

3:36 p.m., Sonora area — A house on the 20000 block of Scattergood Road was broken into through a back window.

4:07 p.m., Chinese Camp — A caller said two teenage boys were breaking windows on trailers and mobile homes in the area of Maiden Lane and Red Hills Road.

5:10 p.m., Big Hill area — A woman said a man on the 11000 block of John Wallace Drive was assaulted by another man who lives nearby.

5:14 p.m., Mono Village — A man said a stereo was stolen out of his locked vehicle parked on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane sometime in the last five days.

7:22 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 23000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said a man was parked near her house in a white pickup truck. She felt the man was trying to harass her.

9:26 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle on the 18500 block of Pine Street.

9:50 p.m., Sonora — A 1989 Silverado pickup truck, license plate number 5H11452, was stolen from a parking lot on the 600 block of Mono Way sometime in the last three days.

9:55 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said people were looking into windows at a house on the 18400 block of Hershey Road East.

10:55 p.m., East Sonora — An Albertsons manager said he had received several complaints from customers that teens were in front of the store trying to get adults to buy them alcohol.

YESTERAY

12:37 a.m., Crystal Falls — A woman said her son was outside her window calling her a drunk. She told a dispatcher he was drunk and wanted alcohol for his ailments.

5:43 a.m., Tuolumne — A Black Oak Casino security officer said a man and a woman in a silver Volvo station wagon were inside the car "doing lines of drugs."

Felony bookings

MONDAY

11:23 a.m., Phoenix Lake — Morris William Pitti, 24, 20300 block of Phoenix Lake Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of felony battery, making criminal threats, being a felon in possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property and misdemeanor violation of a protective order and false imprisonment after an arrest at a house on Lakeside Drive.

A parole agent looking for Pitti suspected the ex-felon was at the Lakeside Drive address and went there with a sheriff's sergeant. The two broke into the house when they heard a woman inside screaming, the report said. Pitti was found in a bedroom with the woman and an unloaded handgun. The gun was reported stolen from a man in Oakdale. The woman said Pitti had threatened to kill her and beat her with the gun.

Pitti remained held this morning without bail in Tuolumne County Jail.

7:43 p.m., Sonora — Michael Brett Bahten, 34, 60 block of Leonards Addition, Sonora, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property and a felony parole hold after an arrest at his home by a Sonora police investigator.

According to a Sonora police report, Bahten is suspected of stealing a safe from the Tuolumne County Probation Department. The safe was found at his house. He remained held in jail this morning without bail.

10:23 p.m., Groveland — A 33-year-old Groveland man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest on Rocky Point Drive. He remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

12:55 a.m., East Sonora — John Joseph Brennan Jr., 27, 14900 block of Los Robles Lane, Sonora, booked on a felony parole hold after an arrest on Highway 108 at Draper Mine Road. He remained held this morning without bail.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

David W. Roberts, 43, 12900 block of Shotgun Creek Road, Jamestown, booked at 9:20 p.m. Monday after arrest on Highway 108 west of Mono Way, Sonora.

Bobby Dean Hayes, 56, 23700 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, Columbia, booked at 10:20 p.m. Monday after arrest on Highway 49 at Pesce Way, Sonora.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

7:23 a.m., suspicious circumstance — A caller said a man with a Mohawk haircut had a sword in his hand and appeared to be "feeding the fish in the creek" at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Lane. An officer talked with the man and gave him the park hours. The man left.

8:33 a.m., animal complaints — A dog was running in and out of traffic on Hospital Road. The dog was picked up by an animal control officer.

12:52 p.m., animal complaints — Tuolumne County Jail inmates washing county cars on Lower Sunset Drive found an injured bird. An animal control officer picked up the bird.

3:58 p.m., vehicle theft — A vehicle parked on North Shepherd Street was almost stolen when someone damaged the steering column.

4:57 p.m., traffic accident — A caller said he believes a city street sweeper damaged his fence near the parking lot on West Bradford Avenue and Norlin Street.

5:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller asked for extra patrol for a building on Stockton Road after seeing a teenage boy on the roof overnight.

9:37 p.m., public intoxication — A 32-year-old man was jailed on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest on Pesce Way. Customers at a convenience store said he was harassing them.

MONDAY

7:33 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said her ex-boyfriend, whom she has a restraining order against, was walking through bushes behind her home on the 6500 block of McCauley Road.

8:17 a.m., San Andreas — A man at the Sheriff's Department wanted a deputy to review his custody paperwork with him.

8:29 a.m., Arnold — A caller said roofers entered a house on the 1500 block of Kiote Hills Drive and caused damage.

9:57 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 11900 block of Limestone Way reported an act of vandalism.

10:03 a.m., San Andreas — An drunken man was arrested after bothering people during an employee picnic at Turner Park.

10:45 a.m., Burson — A woman on the 8000 block of Olive Branch Lane said a strange vehicle was on her property.

12:40 p.m., Copperopolis — An airless sprayer, compressor and power washer were stolen from a garage on the 4500 block of Bayview Drive.

3:13 p.m., Valley Springs — A burglary was reported to a home on the 7300 block of Baldwin Street.

6:03 p.m., Copperopolis — A family dispute was reported on the 4800 block of Little John Road.

9:01 p.m., San Andreas — Loud music and drinking were reported at Gold Strike Mobile Home Park.

10:12 p.m., Arnold — A man put gasoline into a vodka bottle at the Highway 4 Chevron gas station. He then rode away on his bicycle.

10:30 p.m., Arnold — Complaints were made on Meadowview Way about a person who was working on cars late at night and had traffic in and out of a driveway.

10:41 p.m., Douglas Flat — A caller said a band was playing near Live Oak Drive.

YESTERDAY

12:28 a.m., Angels Camp — A burglary at Glory Hole Sports was in progress on the 2800 block of Highway 4.

1:43 a.m., Angels Camp — A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of Dogtown Road and Gardner Lane.

Felony bookings

YESTERDAY

12:55 a.m., Carson Hill area — Nathaniel Wayne Graham, 19, 900 block of Mark Twain Road, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia after an arrest at the Highway 49 vista point. Graham this morning remained in custody in lieu of $20,000 bail.
