TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 

FRIDAY

8:38 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 11100 block of Jamestown Road said someone entered his residence and took $400 cash.

8:51 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10500 block of Jim Brady Road said someone removed her gas cap and left it on her driveway during the night. No gas was taken.

10 a.m., Tuolumne area — Someone on the 13900 block of Tuolumne Road bought a motorhome on Craigslist Sept. 26 and deposited $3,000 into a bank account, but the motorhome was never delivered.

 1:40 p.m., Moccasin area — A stereo and speakers were stolen out of a boat parked at Moccasin Point on the 11400 block of Jacksonville Road.

1:46 p.m., Tuolumne area — A campaign sign was reported stolen from Woodhams Carne and Tuolumne roads.

3:57 p.m., East Sonora — A woman wearing a sheer top and jeans was exposing herself on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

SATURDAY

12:07 a.m., Jamestown — Two men stole four 20-inch chrome rims from a front yard on the 17900 block of Harvard Mine Road and ran with them toward Jamestown Cemetery. 

8:42 a.m., Columbia — Two aluminum ladders were taken from a pickup on the 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive.

3:02 p.m., East Sonora — A man was throwing rocks at vehicles on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

6:19 p.m., La Grange — A piece of landscaping equipment was stolen on the 14300 block of Las Palmas Way.

9:41 p.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 17000 block of Oak Tree Lane was burglarized.

SUNDAY

3:29 a.m., Sonora area — A gun registered to someone on the 19800 block of Waif Mine Road was recovered at the scene of a shooting in Tracy. Police advised the gun was not used in the incident, but they were trying to determine whether it was stolen. 

6:11 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said men were possibly doing drugs in a lot next to a home on the 18000 block of Seco Street.

FRIDAY

11:50 a.m., Crystal Falls — Edward Emil Cooper, 23, of the 100 block of North Norlin Street, Sonora, and Ryan Albert Wardwell, 23, of the 15000 block of Lake Side Drive, Soulsbyville, were booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and misdemeanor charges of possession of burglary tools, after arrests on the 21600 block of Crystal Lake Drive.

9:20 a.m., Sonora area — Nathaniel Robert Crum, 24, of the 16600 block of Manzanita Drive, was arrested at Longeway and North Colorado River roads.

 

SATURDAY

2:26 a.m., Sonora — Mary Angela Cowper, 22, of the 20300 block of Half Mile Road, Tuolumne, was arrested at South Washington and Linoberg streets.

6:05 p.m., Tuolumne — Patrick Lynn Arney, 47, of the 18400 block of Cedar Street, was arrested at Cedar and Birch streets.

11:30 p.m., Mono Vista area — Michael Joseph Juergems, 56, of the 10600 block of Wigwam Road, Jamestown, was arrested on Longeway Road east of Soulsbyille Road.

SUNDAY

12:23 a.m., Tuolumne area — Mark Allen Fischer, 26, of the 3700 block of Crowell Road, Turlock, was arrested at Yosemite and Wards Ferry roads.

6:40 a.m., west county — Byron Alberto Aranda, 29, of the 1200 block of West Center Street, Manteca, was arrested on Highway 120 east of the Stanislaus County Line.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

4:01 p.m., traffic accident — No injuries were reported in an accident between a blue Honda driven by a pregnant woman and a black truck.

SATURDAY

2:37 p.m., theft — A 60-year-old woman was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, after an arrest at a business on Sanguinetti Road.

SUNDAY

4:11 p.m., vandalism — A vehicle was egged on South Barretta Street.

7:22 p.m., public intoxication — A 44-year-old man was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication, after an arrest outside of a business on South Washington Street.

Fire calls

SUNDAY

9:07 a.m., Peoria — A fire broke out in a two-story commercial building on the 6900 block of O’Byrnes Ferry Road. Only minor water damage worth a total of about $500 was caused by the building’s fire sprinklers being activated. An Cal Fire engine from Green Springs and a fire prevention officer from Standard responded. The incident was closed at 11:27 a.m. and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Cal Fire.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:56 p.m., Murphys — Someone was beaten at a business on Main Street.

4:36 p.m., Hathaway Pines — A storage unit was broken into at a business park on Commercial Way.

SATURDAY

7:44 a.m., San Andreas — A cash register was stolen from a business on East St. Charles Street.

10:27 a.m., Murphys — A report was taken for an assault over loud noise on Darby Russell Road.

11:06 a.m., Arnold — A motor was stolen off a fishing boat on Elizabeth Drive.

11:44 a.m., San Andreas — A woman dressed in only underwear was trying to wave down cars at the junction of highways 49 and 12.

12:29 p.m., Wilseyville — Vehicle parts were taken from a property on Blue Mountain Road.

3:10 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A member of a medical marijuana collective called to report the theft of medical marijuana plants at an unlisted address in Mokelumne Hill.

9:04 p.m., Valley Springs — There was a fight between co-workers at Highway 26 and Ospital Road.

SUNDAY

8:22 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone on Hogan Dam Road called to report a person poaching water fowl out of a ski boat and “shooting anything that is alive.”

9:56 a.m., Arnold — A cabin was broken into on Patricia Lane.

2:29 p.m., Angels Camp — A burglary happened on Riata Way.

2:45 p.m., San Andreas — A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication following an altercation on Calaveritas Road.

4:17 a.m., Burson — Calvin Michael Anthony Watt, 21, of the 1800 block of Orchid Court, Lodi, was booked on suspicion of selling marijuana, after an arrest at Highway 12 and Burson Road.

10:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Justin Lonnie Geto, 23, of the 4200 block of French Gulch Road, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 300 block of Murphys Grade Road.

SUNDAY

8:29 a.m., Murphys — Crystal Anne Towle, 24, of Murphys, was booked on suspicion of evading peace officers with disregard for public safety, after an arrest on the 19400 block of Sugar Pine Drive.
