The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:19 a.m., Columbia — A woman reported that her mother was possibly a victim of identity theft. She also reported that her mother was possibly a victim of assault in April.

8:43 a.m., Cedar Ridge area  — Someone reported a mountain lion crossing the street at Kewin Mill and Big Hill roads, near Belleview School. 

9:45 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said someone entered her home in the 17100 block of Table Mountain Road through the bedroom window and stole jewelry.

3:06 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported a possible identify theft after receiving a credit card statement in the mail with an Apple charge of $3,968. The person said they never opened the account.

6:07 p.m., Sonora area  — Two goats wandered into the yard of a residence in the 11100 block of Mount Brow Road. The resident who reported the animals contacted the owner of the goats.

6:10 p.m., Groveland — A woman reported that her bicycle was stolen from the rack outside PJ’s Cafe and Pizzeria on Main Street.

9:20 p.m., Sonora area — Someone broke into a house in the 20700 block of Lower Hillview Drive and stole an iPad, Wii, Xbox and other items.

2:09 p.m., Sonora area — Katherine Julie Thomas, 41, transient, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, after an arrest on Stockton Road. 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


1:16 p.m., public intoxication — A police officer reported that a woman appeared to stumble as she entered Tuolumne County Superior Court on Washington Street. The 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

3:09 p.m., harassment — A man working at the Greenwood Village Apartments on Greenley Road in Sonora reported that another man harassed him on the premises and took off toward the skate park. 

5:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman reported that someone wrote down the address number on her mailbox about two weeks ago and she has not received mail since. 

7:34 p.m., traffic violations — Someone reported a possible drunk driver in front of Rite Aid on Mono Way and officers located the vehicle at Gold Country Gas on Washington Street. An 18-year-old man was cited and released for driving without a license and a 23-year-old man was cited and released for having an open container in the vehicle.

9:25 p.m., suspicious circumstances — People attempted to break into a home on Barretta Street through the front door and bedroom window.

11:13 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman reported that someone was attempting to open her front door.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:07 a.m., Jenny Lind — A car was keyed on Melissa Way.

10:52 a.m., West Point — Fraud was reported on Rabbit Foot Road.

7:58 p.m., Valley Springs — Two bicycles were stolen from in front of a house on La Contenta Drive.
