The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:27 p.m., theft — An overnight bag was stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

3:27 p.m., graffiti — Graffiti was reported under the bridge at South Stewart and Theall streets, but an officer did not believe any was new. 

3:28 p.m., warrant arrest — A woman was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant at Gold and South Stewart streets.

3:56 p.m., theft — A man harassed an employee and stole gift cards from a business on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

4:38 p.m., warrant arrest — A man was arrested for two local misdemeanor warrants on Mono Way.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


11:38 a.m., Don Pedro area — A lock was cut on a water meter on the 5400 block of Arbolada Drive.

1:17 p.m., Long Barn — A registration sticker was scraped off of a license plate between Oct. 2 and 4 on the 25000 block of Merrill Springs Road.

1:56 p.m., Columbia — A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and had two outstanding warrants on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:46 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported lewd acts with a child on the 16100 block of Big Hill Road.

2:55 p.m., East Sonora — A traffic accident was reported on Highway 108 at Jenness Road.

4:40 p.m., Groveland — A storage unit was broken into on the 10700 block of Merrell Road.

6:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A small bag of white powder was found next to the basketball courts at Summerville High School on Tuolumne Road.

6:47 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported hearing threats on the 21100 block of Jamestown Road. Officers said everything seemed fine at the home.

7:45 p.m., East Sonora — A vehicle pulled into a driveway, a person flashed a flashlight, then the driver sped away, according to the caller on the 16500 block of Draper Mine Road. When the vehicle was gone, a large arrow was found spray-painted on the road.

9:24 p.m., Columbia — Several items were taken from a vehicle on the 11600 block of Columbia College Drive.


2:28 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman called and said she had been drinking and her boyfriend turned the power off so she couldn’t keep turning the lights on while he tried to sleep on the 21700 block of Cedar Springs Road. The dispatcher said it wasn’t illegal. 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


1:08 p.m., San Andreas — Grand theft was reported at a business on the first block of East St. Charles Street. 

1:22 p.m., San Andreas — Residential burglary was reported on Bargers Court.

1:57 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone said a blue car stopped and took cards out of a mailbox on Kirby Street.

5:12 p.m., Burson — A report was taken for a disturbance on Southworth Road.

8:04 p.m., Valley Springs — A trespasser was reported at a business on the first block of California Street. An officer did not locate anyone and saw no signs of entry. 

11:57 p.m., San Andreas — A deputy assisted in a situation with someone reportedly refusing to leave a business on the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

4:14 a.m., Arnold — Crystal Anne Towle, 25, of the 700 block of Algiers Street, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property after an arrest on the 2000 block of Highway 4.
