TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY
 1:10 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An anonymous caller reported there were 15 people snorting cocaine in Coffill Park on South Washington Street. Officers responded but found no evidence of illegal activities.
    2:35 p.m., theft — Change was stolen from a machine at a car wash on Pesce Way.
    3:25 p.m., reckless driving — A woman driving an older model Volkswagen beetle ran two other cars into the opposite lanes of traffic on Mono Way and then went up on the curb before coming to a stop on the east side of Wells Fargo. The woman told officers her shoelace had gotten caught in the brake. Officers found no evidence of drugs or alcohol being a factor.
    4:08 p.m., burglary — A woman noticed the tire on the front passenger side of her vehicle had been slashed and some items had been stolen from her residence on Cowan Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY
    10:36 a.m., Twain Harte area — A woman reported her purse was taken from her vehicle while it was parked at the corner of Confidence South Fork and South Fork roads. The incident occurred while the woman was on a hike, and she believes thieves gained access through the sunroof.
    11:29 a.m., Columbia — A woman reported someone jumped her fence overnight and urinated on her car tire while it was parked at her residence on the 27000 block of Italian Bar Road.
    12:21 p.m., Sonora area — A man from the 12000 block of Chukar Circle reported someone had used his personal information to open PG&E and AT&T accounts.
    1:45 p.m., Long Barn — People reported someone had taken a .45 caliber Ruger P95 pistol from their campsite along Stanislaus National Forest Road 31.
    1:57 p.m., Twain Harte — A man reported his vacation cabin on the 19000 block of King Arthurs Court had been burglarized for the second time in two months. Thieves took a small television set this time.
    6:25 p.m., East Sonora — A man was cited on suspicion of shoplifting from a store on the 13000 block of Mono Way.
    9:41 p.m., Jamestown — A couple reported their neighbor was banging loudly on the door of their apartment on the 10000 block of Preston Lane. They reported they suspected the man was drunk and had a gun. Deputies later arrested the man.
   
Felony bookings

MONDAY
    9:44 p.m., Tuolumne — Charles Leroy Hand, 69, of the 20000 block of Old Buchanan Mine Road, and Kelly Diann Romine, 42, of the same residence, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at their home.

    Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

SATURDAY
    8:35 p.m., East Sonora — James Scott Regelin, 44, unknown residence, was arrested on Hillsdale Drive at Mono Way.
    9:20 p.m., Sonora — Bruce Duane Meeker, 61, of the 5000 block of Colony Park Circle, San Jose, was arrested on Washington Street at Shaws Flat Road.

   
CALAVERAS COUNTY
   
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY
    2:33 p.m., San Andreas — Items were stolen from Treat’s General Store on East St. Charles Street.
    2:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Gun shots were heard near the intersection of Covey Lane and Quail Oaks Road.
    4:29 p.m., Murphys — A theft was reported on Scott Street.

TUESDAY
    3:56 a.m., Valley Springs — A person was arrested for trespassing at La Contenta Village Mart on Vista Del Lago Drive.
    4:32 a.m., San Andreas — A person was reported for hiding in the bushes behind Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital on Mountain Ranch Road.
    8:02 a.m., Wallace — Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Teal Court.
