TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:01 a.m., burglary — A vehicle was reportedly broken into and credit cards taken on the 900 block of Highway 49.

9:54 a.m., vandalism — Someone’s tires were found flat in the morning; the caller didn’t know if they were slashed or just had their air let out. But other vehicles also appeared to have their tires flattened on Fairview Lane.

11:09 a.m., fraudulent activities — A woman said her computer was hacked on the 800 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road.

1:30 p.m., weapons violation — A felon tried to purchase a weapon on Sept. 14 at a business on the 1000 block of Sanguinetti Road. 

1:47 p.m., fraud — A check written on a closed account was used to pay a parking citation at Sonora Police Department on South Green Street.

5:35 p.m., animal complaints — Someone reported cat abuse on the 400 block of Greenley Road. Officers concluded the cat was OK.

7:09 p.m., fight — Men were reportedly fighting in the bushes on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. Police did not find them.

7:48 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone saw a man moving a handgun around in his vehicle on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. Officers concluded it was a BB gun.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:25 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported a burglary that occurred on Sept. 26 or 27 on the 18900 block of Rawhide Road.

10:25 a.m., Sonora — Someone reported an argument between a man and woman in a car with children on the 19300 block of Susan Way. The man reportedly threatened the caller when he saw him using the phone.

11:46 a.m., Columbia — Someone requested extra patrol because of several vehicle burglaries in the area on the 11200 block of Columbia Village Drive.

12:01 p.m., Columbia — A woman’s car was burglarized Saturday night on the 11400 block of Columbia Village Drive.

1:04 p.m., Sonora — A man asked for food and a watch and made “bizarre” statements about being pregnant while at a government facility on the 20000 block of Cedar Road North. He was last seen wearing pantyhose on his head. 

1:23 p.m., Tuolumne — A man and woman were in a fight on the 19900 block of Hani Drive. They were separated but had injuries. 

1:34 p.m., Groveland — A man was reportedly harassing workers after being fired. He allegedly revved his engine and pointed his fingers like a gun at Merrell Road and Highway 120.

1:40 p.m., Columbia — Someone reported domestic violence at Yankee Hill and Sawmill Flat Road.

2:12 p.m., Tuolumne — A man reported a former brother-in-law harassing him by driving by slowly and “flipping him off” on the 18500 block of Cedar Street.

2:26 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman said two young men in a red two-door vehicle were trying to get into mailboxes on the 21500 block of American River Drive. She said she saw them doing it last week, too.

2:27 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on the 8400 block of Old Melones Dam Road lost a cell phone and discovered it has been used.

4:25 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her car was broken into and searched and she’s not sure if anything was taken. Someone also attempted entry into an outbuilding on the 19900 block of Phoenix Lake Road.

5:18 p.m., Sonora — A truck was vandalized on the 12900 block of Fir Drive.

5:57 p.m., Sonora — A woman was treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center on Greenley Road for injuries suffered in an assault. 

7:27 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said her neighbor threatened to kill her dog on the 14600 block of Mono Way. 

9:44 p.m., Jamestown — A man reportedly punched a woman in the face outside a house on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

THURSDAY

3:26 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone reported a cell phone was stolen a week and a half ago on the 18100 block of Lakeview Drive.

WEDNESDAY

11:58 a.m., Groveland — William Douglas Blair Jr., 49, of the 12700 block of Mount Jefferson Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 14200 block of Boitano Road. 

1:40 p.m., Sonora — Clinton Robert Bauman, 32, of Tuolumne Road, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary and embezzlement after an arrest on the 700 block of Mono Way.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: 

WEDNESDAY

12:08 a.m., Sonora — Julia Robin Mastenbrook, 24, of the 22400 block of South Airport Road, was booked after an arrest at Greenley and Lyons Bald Mountain roads.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:02 a.m., San Andreas — Someone was arrested on a local warrant at the county jail on Mountain Ranch Road.

11:24 a.m., Valley Springs — Two coin machines were reported stolen at a business on the 100 block of Pine Street. 

2:05 p.m., Murphys area — An altercation was reported on Snowberry Court.

4:16 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was arrested on a local warrant at the county jail on Mountain Ranch Road.

6:38 p.m., Murphys — An altercation was reported on Fullen Road.

8:38 p.m., Jenny Lind — Theft was reported on Main Street, but the parties were able to “work it out.”

10:06 p.m., San Andreas — A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs after four 911 hang ups on Church Hill Road.

WEDNESDAY

10:16 a.m., Arnold — Crystal Anne Towle, 25, of the 700 block of Algiers Street, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession and unlawful prescription drug possession after an arrest on the 2700 block of Alpine Way.  

10:26 a.m., Avery — Rebecca Lynn Smith, 54, of the 3400 block of Skunk Ranch Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, child cruelty leading to possible injury or death and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at Avery Middle School.

2:40 p.m., Angels Camp — Seth Clayton Mitchell, 26, of the 15100 block of Wards Ferry Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on the 700 block of Mark Twain Road. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.
