CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

12:36 p.m., Arnold — Someone burglarized a home on Green Meadow Court after cutting open a screen window to get inside.

5:21 p.m., Angels Camp — A theft occurred at a business on Highway 49.

WEDNESDAY

11:40 p.m., Copperopolis — Stacey Marie Near, 43, of the 100 block of Bridle Point, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Sanguinetti Drive and O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

THURSDAY

10 p.m., Angels Camp — Amanda Nicole Nicoletti, 27, of the 400 block of Lantern Avenue, Clovis, was booked on suspicion of conspiring to defraud a person, second-degree burglary, forgery, grand theft in excess of $950, and possession of stolen credit cards and drugs, after an arrest at Highway 49 and Birds Way.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

4:23 p.m., theft — A woman said her prescriptions were taken from her vehicle while she was inside a business on South Washington Street.

7:11 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a man was jumping on the roof of a business and “acting suspicious” on South Green Street. Officers responded and didn’t find anyone on the roof.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:05 a.m., Sonora area — A man was living in a shipping container and using a generator for power on another man’s property at Allison Way and Highway 108, according to the property owner’s neighbor.

10:08 a.m., Sonora area — A truck was broken into and several items were stolen, including the stereo, music CDs, coins, medicine and a blood sugar meter, on the 20100 block of Jamestown Road.

10:32 a.m., Sonora area — A man living on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane called to report a phone call from someone who had his Social Security number and bank account information and was claiming to be from the U.S. Department of Justice. The caller was trying to get the man to settle a supposed outstanding debt. After getting off the phone with the suspected identity thief, the man contacted his bank to put a freeze on his account and then notified law enforcement.

2:49 p.m., Jamestown — A box trailer with the license plate “1KA1965” was stolen from behind a closed gate at a residence on the 19100 block of Rawhide Road.

THURSDAY

3:25 p.m., Tuolumne — Michael Lee James, 60, of the 18600 block of Maple Avenue, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 18600 block of Maple Avenue.

5:52 p.m., Sonora — Vincent Michael Brocchini, 34, of the 200 block of Greenley Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

8:28 p.m., Tuolumne — Kathryn Alane Dillard, 50, of the 18600 block of East Maple Avenue, was booked on suspicion of vandalism, after an arrest on the 18400 block of Cedar Street.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

THURSDAY

10:22 p.m., west county — Ronald Wayne McCaul, 59, of the 17400 block of East Highway 120, Ripon, was arrested at O’Byrnes Ferry Road and the Tuolumne-Calaveras county line.
