TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

SUNDAY

1:41 a.m., fight — A man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer and being drunk in public after an altercation on the 100 block of South Washington Street. 

7:47 a.m., trespass — A man left a woman’s backyard after she said she would call the police on Woodside Drive.

10:02 a.m., burglary — Two residences were broken into within the previous 24 hours on South Stewart Street. 

4:44 p.m., fraud — A woman tried to pass a fake check at a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:50 p.m., theft — Someone stole shoes from a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

8:58 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was concerned for his safety because someone meaning him harm may have been looking for him on East Lyons Street. 

10:30 p.m., fraud — Someone used someone else’s name for services at a church on Snell Street. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SUNDAY

9:08 a.m., Groveland — A man said he “just got hit” and needed police assistance on the 9000 block of Smith Station Road. A call about 20 minutes earlier was deemed to be connected, involving a woman who said her son took parts from her truck.

9:51 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone reported a suspicious man and woman who were checking mailboxes while walking two dogs at Hawk Lane North and Middle Camp Road.

10:15 a.m., Sonora area — A dispute was reported involving a neighbor putting up speed limit signs, a neighbor not following the signs and a challenge for a fight on Bay Meadow Drive.

10:15 a.m., Jamestown — A door window was broken in an attempt to break into a business on the 18200 block of Main Street. 

10:22 a.m., Groveland — A man threatened to run over people for an ongoing problem involving walking their dogs in the middle of the road on Pleasant View Drive.

12:58 p.m., Columbia — Numerous items were taken in a burglary sometime in September on the 12600 block of Big Hill Road.

1:27 p.m., Groveland — A man said his mother threatened to smash a speaker box and he was hit by the hammer when he went to grab the box on the 9000 block of Smith Station Road. He said they are in a dispute about him taking guns his mother is not supposed to have.

1:55 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a man driving a white utility truck seemed suspicious, parking near her house as she left and pulling away when she returned on the 20000 block of Gibbs Drive.

2:38 p.m., Sonora — Someone followed up a burglary report, reporting 90 Vicodin pills taken on the 10900 block of Derby Road.

6:51 p.m., Jamestown — Someone reported a man walking down Highway 108 with a rifle at Golf Links Road.

6:57 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22800 block of Four Wheel Drive reported someone said a man had his wife locked in a bedroom and was going to burn it down. The reported was deemed unfounded.

7:36 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her boyfriend choked and beat her on the 17700 block of Woods Way. She said she’d meet police somewhere, but she wasn’t there and no one was at the residence. 

MONDAY

7:58 p.m., Long Barn — A group of cows was in the road on Highway 108 at Jenness Park Road.

SUNDAY

1:40 a.m., Tuolumne area — Abel Aleman Flores, 49, of Merced, was booked after an arrest at Tuolumne Road and Standard Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SUNDAY

1:39 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone reported a possible violation of a court order on Highway 26.

FRIDAY

10 a.m., Valley Springs — Shelley L. Browne, 30, of the 2500 block of Hogan Court, was booked on suspicion of inflicting child cruelty possibly leading to injury or death, drug possession and misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs and drug paraphernalia possession after an arrest at her home. 

10 a.m., Valley Springs — Derek James Bush, 30, of the 2500 block of Hogan Court, was booked on suspicion of inflicting child cruelty possibly leading to injury or death, drug possession and misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs and drug paraphernalia possession after an arrest at her home. 

1:10 p.m., Burson — Samuel Christian Knox, 23, of the 4000 block of Burson Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury, misdemeanor driving under the influence and a felony warrant for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and a felony warrant after an arrest at his home.

4:35 p.m., Valley Springs — Tommy Earl Jones, 55, of Citrus Heights, was booked on suspicion of violation of parole and misdemeanor being drunk in public and using offensive words in public after an arrest on the first block of Highway 26. 

6:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Daphne Jentry Green, 51, of the 2500 block of Danaher Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs and several misdemeanor warrants after an arrest at her home. 

8:56 p.m., Angels Camp — Daniel Ruben Gomez, 45, of the 700 block of Casey Street, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a person and misdemeanor committing immoral acts before a child and willful cruelty to a child after an arrest at his home. 

SATURDAY

9 a.m., Angels Camp — James Rick Moore, 45, of the 300 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, false imprisonment with violence, sexual battery, assault with the intent to rape, and injuring power lines after an arrest at his home. 

SUNDAY

2:20 p.m., Arnold — Michael Edward Hammons, Jr., of the 2700 block of Alpine Way, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and two misdemeanor warrants after an arrest at his home.

1:51 a.m., Angels Camp — Jacklyn Beth Wood, 47, of Modesto, was booked after an arrest at Angel Oaks Road and Highway 4.

2:33 a.m., Murphys — Caroline Lyla Grace Nelson, 29, of North Wood Drive, Murphys, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Main Street. 

10:15 a.m., San Andreas — Rebecca Ann Gowan, 49, of the 1000 block of Paradise Peak Drive, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest at highways 26 and 12.
