Sheriff's reports

THURSDAY

7:41 a.m., Groveland — A man said a first aid kit and an oxygen bag were stolen from fire and personal trucks at the Groveland Fire Station on the 18900 block of Main Street.

9:20 a.m., Big Hill — A caller saw a man driving a white car pointing a gun out of the car while it was on Old Oak Ranch Road.

10:31 a.m., Wards Ferry area — A man said he found a cash register and several pieces of identification dumped along side Algerine Wards Ferry Road.

10:36 a.m., Groveland — A man on the 19400 block of Elder Lane said someone has been trespassing onto his property.

11:34 a.m., Twain Harte — A caller said a little girl, possibly about 10 years old, was climbing up a steep embankment on the right hand side of South Fork Road, possibly trying to flag down the caller. But when the caller turned around, the girl was gone.

12:20 p.m., Jamestown — A man said a suspicious-looking brownish Ford Taurus with a missing grill was parked on Golf Links Road. He said the car was parked in a neighbor's driveway and another driveway earlier.

1:19 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18000 block of Jamestown Road said cable TV worker urinated in front of a house.

3:46 p.m., Wards Ferry area — A man on the 17800 block of Old Wards Ferry Road said his barn was broken into, but nothing was taken.

4:12 p.m., Columbia — A man said three people shot a deer behind a trailer park on the 23200 block of Italian Bar Road and were gutting it.

7:02 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said locked storage shed on the 10300 block of Preston Lane was broken into.

8 p.m., Columbia area — A man on the 9900 block of Highway 49 said two or three men drove by his house and threatened him and possibly pointed a pistol out the window.

9:04 p.m., Jamestown — A man driving a red Eagle Talon said he and the driver of a white Honda Prelude got into a road-rage incident while both were driving east on Highway 120 from Oakdale. The man said the driver in the white car stopped in front of the caller and started pounding on his car.

11:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said candy was taken out of Tuolumne Memorial Hall on Pine Street and that several boxes were knocked over.

11:13 p.m., Groveland — A woman said a drunken man at the main gate to Pine Mountain Lake subdivision ran over something near the gate. The man left before a deputy could get there.

FRIDAY

7:46 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a man was sleeping under some trees on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive.

8:47 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19200 block of Hillsdale Drive said an 8-year-old boy was trying to light a fire at the fence line of her property. The woman's husband was trying to stop him, she said.

9:11 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said a man had built a shack in a field off Longeway Road and was living in it.

9:21 a.m., La Grange — A man found an abandoned personal watercraft at the Fleming Meadows Boat Ramp at Don Pedro Lake.

10:32 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said someone took the screens off the windows of her home on the 22800 block of Sierra Drive.

12:46 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman came to her house on the 17300 block of Blackbird lane and took checks two weeks ago.

7:19 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 12900 block of Hollow Drive reported hearing five loud explosions, and suspected someone was blowing up mailboxes.

8 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22500 block of Longeway Road said a woman beat him up and stole his wallet.

10:45 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said she saw flashlight in the Tuolumne Community Garden at Cemetery Lane. She asked sheriff's deputies to check the area.

SATURDAY

1:53 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 13700 block of Mono Way said an intoxicated man was screaming and yelling next to his Ford Tempo.

4:28 a.m., Groveland — A woman said someone was trying to get into her home on the 20800 block of Rock Canyon Way through her back door. She said she could hear two men talking outside.

7:46 a.m., Jamestown — A man said he found a rifle under a house on the 18200 block of Main Street.

8:45 a.m., Groveland — A woman said a motorcycle was stolen from a garage on the 22100 block of Hells Hollow Road.

8:56 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said television was taken from a conference room at the Best Western Sonora Oaks Hotel on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue.

1:44 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 19400 block of Elder Lane said his door was vandalized.

1:59 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said his Ford Mustang was broken into on Dodge Ridge Road.

4:26 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said a pump was taken off his hot tub at a residence on the 18500 block of Elm Avenue.

5:14 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18200 block of Smoke Street said someone vandalized his vehicle's window.

5:20 p.m., Groveland — A woman said someone kicked in the door of her vehicle on the 10300 block of Highway 120.

5:30 p.m., Sonora area — A ranger at the Tuttletown Recreation area said some people in the Acorn Campground were underage and drinking. One was riding a motorcycle and almost hit a camper, the ranger said.

8:53 p.m., Groveland — Two callers said a man was trying to pick up girls at a business on the 18900 block of Main Street. One of the callers said the man came up to his daughter and offered to buy her alcohol.

9:14 p.m., Tuolumne — A cashier at a store on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road said two kids were outside trying to get an adult to buy them alcohol.

9:24 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said someone cut out a section of cement from the foundation of a home being built on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive. The caller also reported finding a woman's identification and part of a watch.

9:57 p.m., Groveland — A caller said a man on the 19400 block of Ferretti Road had a window shot out, possibly with a BB gun.

YESTERDAY

Midnight, Chinese Camp — A caller on the 9900 block of Washington Street said a woman was outside pounding on the doors and windows.

12:49 a.m., Columbia — A man said a friend called and asked for a ride to Columbia Airport so the aliens could pick her up.

6:28 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said she left her cell phone in the bathroom of a gas station on the 13700 block of Mono Way. She later called the phone and a man named Jorge answered and said he had bought the phone, but would sell it back to her.

6:45 a.m., Long Barn — A woman said a motorcycle was taken from the back of an unlocked trailer on 3N09 Forest Service Road.

7:09 a.m., Sonora — An employee at Sonora Community Hospital said a man who accidentally shot himself in the leg while getting ready to go hunting in the Tulloch Lake area came into the emergency room.

9:12 a.m., Columbia — A caller on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said a man attacked him.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Henry Frederick Peters, 53, no address given, booked at 5:30 p.m. Thursday after arrest on Highway 120 west of Jacksonville Road.

Robert Dwain Broveleit, 18, 20000 block of Chapel Drive, Tuolumne, booked at 1:50 a.m. Friday after arrest on Old Buchanan Mine Road at Enchanted Court, Tuolumne area.

Bradley Scott Garlington, 20, 20222 block of Sandy Lane, Tuolumne booked at 1:45 a.m. Friday after arrest on Old Buchanan Mine Road at Enchanted Court, Tuolumne area.

Larry Wayne Cates, 37, 500 block of Miners Street, Alleghany, Sierra County, booked at 2:20 a.m. Friday after arrest on Tannahill Drive at Pleasant View Drive, Groveland area.

Carlos Eduardo Garcia-Duran, 36, 4100 block of Ruth Avenue, Modesto, booked at 2:40 a.m. Friday after arrest on Tuolumne Road near Cherokee Road.

Sonora police reports

THURSDAY

2:23 a.m., public intoxication — A deputy at the Tuolumne County Jail said a woman showed up in the jail lobby and said she needed a place to "sleep it off." The 43-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of public intoxication.

8:24 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a three-car collision on Mono Way.

10:53 a.m., burglary — A Sonora High School student's vehicle was broken into and a car stereo was stolen.

12:14 a.m., vandalism — A Sonora High School teacher's car was vandalized.

4:42 p.m., found property — A bicycle was found at the bottom of a ravine near a bridge on Greenley Road.

FRIDAY

8:11 a.m., miscellaneous codes — A caller said a cabinet and chair had been left on the sidewalk of the first block of Bradford Avenue for three days.

8:15 a.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a disabled gray Kia was sitting on Stockton Road.

12:42 p.m., property damage — A caller said someone damaged a building on the 200 block of Greenley Road, possibly with a car, sometime during the previous night.

2:53 p.m., theft — A 29-year-old man was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:59 p.m., suspicious circumstance — Vehicles were reportedly egged on South Washington Street near Restano Way.

10:50 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a power pole on the 100 block of Sunset Street was sparking.

11:07 p.m., vandalism — A caller said someone might have thrown a brick at a house on the first block of Saratoga Road.

11:14 p.m., public intoxication — A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Stewart Street.

SATURDAY

Midnight, public intoxication — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Washington Street.

12:22 a.m., public intoxication — A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Washington Street.

11:56 a.m., suspicious circumstance — A woman said a man had been sitting in a green pickup on Briarwood Drive off and on for three days.

6:58 p.m., domestic violence — A woman said she witnessed a woman attack a small child in the bathroom of a business on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:39 p.m., found property — A set of three keys were found Friday at a Sonora High School football game. They were taken to the Sonora Police Department.

10:50 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A woman said an employee was locked inside a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. Store security eventually released the employee.

YESTERDAY

2:01 a.m., public intoxication — Police arrested a juvenile on the 500 block of Stewart Street on suspicion of prowling.

8:39 a.m., Murphys — A caller on the 400 block of Sheep Ranch Road said a powdery substance came out of an envelope.

11:54 a.m., Vallecito — A caller on the 4000 block of Moaning Cave Road said someone shot his or her cat.

5:49 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 3000 block of Burson Road said a neighbor stole her dog.

6:13 p.m., San Andreas — A woman on the 200 block of Pope Street said two boys came into her house and started pushing her son around.

6:23 p.m., Arnold — A woman on the 100 block of Wood Chip Circle said she came home and found her bedroom television turned on. A deputy came and made sure the house was secure.

6:47 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman on the 7000 block of Nall Street said several items and lights have been stolen from her front porch.

8:03 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 6000 block of Mitchell Lane said three teenagers were climbing through a window of a vacant house across the street.

FRIDAY

10:53 a.m., Murphys — A caller said someone stole cash from a store on the 300 block of Main Street during the night.

11:05 a.m., San Andreas — A man on the 4600 block of Hawver Road said someone had been cutting his locks, going on his land and then putting on different locks.

2:31 p.m., Arnold — A caller said someone vandalized a bike on the 2100 block of Highway 4.

4:37 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said someone vandalized mailboxes on the 6100 block of Hironymous Court.

6:14 pm., Arnold — A caller said someone put albuterol, an asthma medication, into the bags of some kids who were trick-or-treating in the Rocky Hill subdivision.

6:38 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman on the 400 block of La Contenta Drive said three or four high school kids who trashed her house last year were hanging around outside.

7:38 p.m., San Andreas — A woman on the 400 block of Foothill Court said her neighbor was banging around and causing things to fall off her walls.

11:49 p.m., Murphys — A caller reported underage drinking at a business on the first block of Main Street.

SATURDAY

7:14 a.m., Jenny Lind — A caller said someone stole a stereo and amp out of an unlocked vehicle on the 8500 block of Macatee.

9:56 p.m., Jenny Lind — A caller on the 8500 block of Siegel Street said a neighbor was building a fence on the caller's property.

10:52 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller at a business on the first block of Highway 26 said a man who was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol was bothering customers.

1:24 p.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 6400 block of Friedman Way said he hit the gas line to his home with a rototiller.

4:49 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said there was a lot of glass in the road at the intersection of Mariposa and Pine streets.

8:51 p.m., Glencoe — A caller on the 600 block of Ridge Road said someone stole two guns from the back of a truck.

YESTERDAY

1:25 a.m., Avery — A caller on the 2300 block of Rancho Paradiso complained that a neighbor was running a chain saw.
