Sheriff's reports


7:10 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A caller reported the theft of a giant inflatable snowman from his yard on the 21700 block of Los Portales Road.

9:50 a.m., Groveland — A caller on the 19600 block of Elder Lane requested advice about possible fraud.

10:22 a.m., Sonora — A caller on Cedar Road North said her purse was stolen through the open window of her locked vehicle.

10:37 a.m., Sonora — A caller requested a patrol car to check out a man sitting in his Honda Civic, apparently "casing the house" on the 19100 block of Black Oak Road.

10:42 a.m., Groveland — A man on an unidentified block of Hemlock Street called for advice regarding people riding motorcycles and disturbing the peace.

10:57 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road said her brother threatened to kill their parents over the phone last Saturday. When she learned her brother was at her parents' house, she called the police to make sure her parents were safe.

11:56 a.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a possibly abandoned vehicle was parked in an alley of Pine Street filled with "all kinds of chain saws" and other items. The caller thought the items might be stolen property.

12:50 p.m., Groveland — A caller at an unidentified location said she heard another woman found bloody tarps and a child's hooded sweatshirt.

1:42 p.m., Groveland — A caller on the 19400 block of Ferretti Road said someone stole gas from him a week ago.

2:01 p.m., Jamestown — A caller on the 17900 block of Seco Street said a boy is shooting a BB gun.

3:53 p.m., location unknown — A woman called to report she had accidentally stabbed herself with a pair of scissors.

6:28 p.m., Groveland — A caller said two boys threw a rock at his truck while he was stopped at a house on Pine Mountain Drive.

7:35 p.m., Groveland — A man calling from Country Club Village said he arrived at his vacation home to find someone had been living in the downstairs bedroom.

7:53 p.m., Jamestown — A woman calling from the 14700 block of Twist Road said her husband disabled her vehicle so she couldn't leave.

9:44 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18100 block said she came home to find a man ransacking her house. The man ran away, and the woman was checking to see if anything was missing.

9:47 p.m., Mi Wuk Village — A woman on the 24000 block of Lama Road said the door to her vacation home was forced open, but she didn't find anything missing.

9:55 p.m., Sonora — A woman said her husband, who suffers from dementia, had not returned to his home in Jamestown after leaving Sonora.

11:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A bartender at the Villa D'Oro, 23000 block of Joaquin Gully Road, said an underage woman refused to leave the bar.

11:28 p.m., Jamestown — A caller on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road said he saw someone take something from his neighbor's yard.

Sonora police reports

9:02 a.m., vandalism — A caller said he or she had just driven by the skatepark on Greenley Road and noticed someone spraying something with paint.

12:27 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man with a backpack near Veterans Memorial Hall on North Washington Street was singing and yelling at passing cars.

1:05 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was kicking branches and yelling at Washington Square Apartments on North Washington Street.

1:30 p.m., property damage — A vehicle was damaged while parked in the parking lot of Tuolumne General Hospital on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

1:55 p.m., animal complaint — A caller reported a dead raccoon in the middle of East Lyons Street.

4:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone with a BB gun was reportedly shooting at things on South Forest Road.

8:18 a.m., Jenny Lind — Mailboxes were damaged along Milton Road.

6:05 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A caller on the 7000 block of Doster Road said someone stole $200 cash from the kitchen table.

11:51 p.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 200 block of Oak Street said someone threw something through his living room window, shattering it.
