The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:52 p.m., reckless driving — Someone said a white Ford Focus was swerving all over the road and going about 30 mph on West Stockton Road. The driver apparently almost went off the road several times.  

11:36 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man told officers he was mugged by someone wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a guitar, while sitting outside of a business on Sanguinetti Road. Officers determined the alleged victim’s claims were unfounded.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:10 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on the 17200 block of Timber Drive said someone used her Social Security number to open bank accounts.

1:11 p.m., Jamestown — Two people were seen using drugs behind Rocca Park at Main and Smoke streets.

1:38 p.m., Sonora area — Someone saw three men in a beige Chevrolet Tahoe dumping garbage from a trailer off the side of the road on the 15600 block of Big Hill Road.

3:47 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22400 block of South Airport Road said her son-in-law received a letter stating his Social Security number had been compromised.

3:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman was seen stumbling in a business on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive and admitted to having consumed a few drinks. She then left driving a white, four-door Suzuki in an unknown direction.

4:32 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19200 block of Rockridge Way said she lost a 32-caliber Harrington and Richardson revolver sometime in the past 60 days.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol:


11:49 a.m., Sonora — Edward Lee Jones, 22, of the 16700 block of South Creekside Road, was arrested at South Washington Street and Restano Way.

9:45 p.m., Jamestown — William Lee Runge, 40, of the 18400 block of Pine Street, Tuolumne, was arrested at Sierra Avenue and 10th Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


2:23 p.m., Valley Springs — A Volkswagen Jetta was keyed and had red dye thrown it on Baldwin Street. The owner thought it might be related to a dispute with a neighbor.

4:07 p.m., San Andreas — Someone saw a man drinking alcohol in Turner Park.

8:54 p.m., Valley Springs — A group of kids was smoking marijuana and lighting off bottle rockets and firecrackers in front of the clubhouse at Gold Creek Estates, at Highway 26 and Gold Creek Drive.

3:10 p.m., Valley Springs — James Holt Leslie, 41, of the 7800 block of Westhill Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 7800 block of Kirby Street.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol:


12:21 a.m., Arnold — Vladimir Barantseff, 66, of the 1100 block of Blagen Road, was arrested at Blagen Road and Longman Lane.

7:13 p.m., Valley Springs — Lise Dawn Hunt, 46, of the 5800 block of McCauley Road, was arrested on the 3900 block of Hartvickson Lane.
