The Sonora Police reported the following: 


 9:56 a.m., animal complaints — An aggressive dog was on the loose on East Jackson Street. The homeowner was contacted.

10:35 a.m., traffic accident — An accident occurred at a business on West Stockton Street.

12:22 p.m., theft — A purse was stolen from a bar on South Washington Street.

1:11 p.m., DUI — An allegedly drunken driver arrived to pick up her child at Sonora Elementary School. The driver left prior to officers’ arrival.The driver was arrested following a traffic stop. 

5:54 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man and woman argued on Mono Way. The man allegedly threw a bottle at the woman, who left in a car. Officers checked the area. 

9:13 p.m., fraudulent activities — A South Barretta Street woman said checks were stolen from her home. She received a phone call from her bank reporting that the checks were cashed with a forged signature. She had suspect information.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reported the following


8:51 a.m., coroner’s case — A death from natural causes was reported on South Court.

9:30 a.m. burglary — A person found a door open and a window broken at a business on Highway 49. She contacted the owner.

3:02 p.m., theft — A person reported embezzlement by a former employee on Mechanical Drive.

3:28 p.m., suicidal or mental subject — A woman said her daughter threatened to kill herself on Morris Road. The daughter was in the bedroom holding a pocket knife but was calm. 

3:58 p.m., property found — A man found a driver’s license, credit cards, adding machine, a jacket and other miscellaneous items on his property and believes they were stolen. 

4:22 p.m., harassments — A man was having trouble with his confrontation neighbor on Camino Del Parque.

5:21 p.m., brandishing — A man said his roommate brandished a kitchen knife at him after they were in an argument on Sparrow Lane.

11:27 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person heard a male screaming for help near the intersection of Greenley and Cabezut roads.


Felony bookings


9:40 a.m., Sonora — Amy Lynn Munoz, 35, of Sonora, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, receiving a stolen vehicle, transporting or selling drugs, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


1:15 p.m., Sonora — Roxann Kelly Andrie, 41, of an unspecified Sonora address, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way at Roselyn Lane.

5:54 p.m., Groveland — Casey Lynn Dugan, 50, of the 11800 block of Powderhouse Street, was booked for DUI and driving with a suspended license after an arrest on Ferretti West at Highway 120. 

6:45 p.m., Sonora — Burton Paul Nelson, of the 10900 block of Green Street, was booked for DUI and possession of a concealed weapon after an arrest at Highway 49 and O’Hara Drive.


The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 


10:39 a.m., disturbance — A dispute between a separating couple occurred on West Saint Charles Street in San Andreas. 

2:55 p.m., suspicious or parked vehicle — An officer responded at Copper Cove Drive and Cheyenne Road in Copperopolis.

3:10 p.m., battery — An assault was reported at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds on Frogtown Road in Angels Camp. 

6:19 p.m., theft — A civil issue involving a canine occurred on Nickerson Lane in Murphys. 


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


11:44 p.m., Valley Springs — Tyler Wayman West, 21, of the 1200 block of Gill Ranch Road, was booked after an arrest at his home.
