The California Highway Patrol reported the following: 


3:30 p.m., Copperopolis — A Pittsburg man suffered minor injuries after crashing his 2002 Ford Focus, flipping it, on Little John Road south of Copper Cove Drive. Driver Michael Donahue, 48, was taken to Mark Twain Medical for treatment and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:53 a.m., hazardous situation — A man located a syringe at a business on Sanguinetti Road. A police officer was called and disposed of the syringe at Sonora Regional Medical Center 

10:09 a.m., theft — A man stole a bottle of alcohol from a store on West Stockton Street and fled with a woman in a tan Toyota Corolla traveling westbound.

1:25 p.m., parking citation — Citation issued for backing into stalls.

3:10 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — A man harassed a person in a crosswalk near a school on Greenley Road and then again on a transit bus. 

9:26 p.m., weapons violations — A person heard a gunshot in an apartment complex on Greenley Road. The area was checked. Neighbors and management did not hear anything. 

11:33 p.m., trespass — A transient was reported sleeping in a hallway on North Stewart Street. When officers showed up, the person was gone.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 


9:54 a.m., Sonora — A sexual assault was reported at the Tuolumne County Jail on Yaney Avenue. 

10:50 a.m., Jamestown — A vehicle was broken into in on the 18700 block of Jamestown Road. A bracelet, diamond earrings, a red wallet and black purse were stolen. 

11:24 a.m., Sonora area — A small bag of crystal meth was discovered under a chair in the lobby of a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

Felony bookings


10:48 p.m., Sonora — Elizabeth P. Jones, 74, home address not released by the Sonora Police Department, was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing injury, after an arrest on North Washington Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:57 a.m., Copperopolis — Medications were stolen on Deerfield Circle.

9:11 a.m., Arnold — A business on Highway 4 was vandalized and burglarized.

9:33 a.m., Valley Springs — Copper wire was stolen on Hogan Dam Road.


7:53 a.m., Jenny Lind — Public restrooms on Pine Street were vandalized.

Felony bookings


2:45 p.m., Valley Springs — Rebecca Boriolo, 42, and Aaron Lloyd Owens Jr., 40, both of the 3300 block of Botfuher Road, were booked on suspicion of drug possession and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition, after arrests at their home.


10:34 p.m., Murphys — Eric Lee Collins, 37, of the 100 block of Jones Street, was booked on suspicion of possessing a firearm with a prior criminal conviction, after an arrest at his home.


10:32 a.m., Copperopolis — Gregory Dean High, 23, of the 900 block of Feather Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment, after an arrest at Cheyenne Road and Brave Street.


12:54 p.m., Valley Springs — Angelo Joseph Regusci Jr., 34, of the 4400 block of South Highway 26, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 8300 block of Crotty Way.
