TUOLUMNE COUNTY

Sheriff's reports

TUESDAY

7:38 a.m., East Sonora — A man said two boys were in the area of Hess Avenue and North Court. One was carrying a heavy backpack and the man said they did not belong in the neighborhood.

12:42 p.m., Cold Springs — Vandals threw a rocks through a window on a house on the 29500 block of Lassen Drive.

12:42 p.m., East Sonora — A man delivering packages to a bank on the 14800 block of Highway 108 reported the doors were locked during business hours and the employees would not open the doors.

2:35 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man walking with crutches was checking mailboxes along Highway 108 near Golf Links Road.

3:01 p.m., Groveland — A car parked on the 20500 block of Nob Hill Circle was vandalized when a front windshield was smashed.

4:08 p.m., Jamestown — A vehicle parked on the 18100 block of Eighth Avenue was broken into and a stereo, tools and a medical kit were stolen.

4:18 p.m., Cuesta Serena — A caller on Calle Oeste said $2,000 was stolen from a checking account.

4:42 p.m., Crystal Falls — A generator was stolen from a utility trailer on the 16000 block of Tehachapi Court.

4:46 p.m., Don Pedro area — A caller said two women and a man were drinking at a baseball field on El Prado Road, moments before a youth baseball game was to start.

7:26 p.m., Twain Harte — A teenage boy was passed out in Eproson Park with a can of spraypaint in his hand.

8:12 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Maple Alley said an 18-year-old man was threatening to kill her and was outside the house throwing rocks at the house.

8:19 p.m., Sugar Pine — A house on the 23900 block of Pine Lake Drive was burglarized.

8:35 p.m., Twain Harte — A house on the 22600 block of Rhine River Court was burglarized.

8:56 p.m., Cedar Ridge — Three people called 911 because a man on Broken Bit Road was in the street yelling and "flipping out" because his car broke down.

10:22 p.m., Columbia — A woman said a pizza delivery person delivered a pizza to a house on the 10000 block of Green Street and while there was harassed and threatened by "G.I. Jane."

10:59 p.m., Columbia — A woman said a man was lying on the side of Jackson Street, but then got up and was hitchhiking on Parrotts Ferry Road.

11:30 p.m., Columbia — A caller said a man was walking on Parrotts Ferry Road yelling he wanted to "kill you all."

11:40 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a woman wearing a plaid shirt was walking and falling down on Donovan Street.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

Felony bookings

YESTERDAY

6:52 p.m., Tuolumne — Raymond Lee Engle, 32, 19700 block of Highway 108, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance and failing to appear for a court date. He was also booked on misdemeanor warrants charging him with being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Friary Road and Bodenhammer Road, and remained in custody this morning in lieu of $12,500 bail.

8 p.m. Sonora — Cindy Jean Santos, 43, 1000 block of Ponderosa Way, Arnold, booked on suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor violation of a court order after an arrest at Tuolumne General Hospital.

According to a Sonora Police report, two women were seen stealing medical supplies from an ultrasound room at Tuolumne General Hospital. An officer found Santos in the parking lot trying to take alcohol wipes, gauze bandages and sterile sponges out of her purse and put them into the backseat of her car. The other woman was cited and released for violating a court order.

Santos remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000

10:40 p.m., Columbia area — Marci Ann Guzman, 30, 14600 block of Mono Way, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging her with possessing a controlled substance and receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor warrants charging her with being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, violating probation and failure to appear, after an arrest on Horseshoe Bend and Springfield roads. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail.

10:50 p.m., Columbia area — David Joseph Rose, 33, 22400 block of South Airport Road, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging him with burglary and forgery after an arrest on Horseshoe Bend Road at Springfield Road. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

11:40 p.m., Columbia — Nancy Alice Vogeler, 42, 3400 block of Darby Lane, Murphys, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing a controlled narcotic substance, and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and driving on a suspended license after an arrest on Jackson Street at Parrotts Ferry Road.

A deputy reported stopping Vogeler as she was driving north on Parrotts Ferry Road because her car lights were not working. The officer determined Vogeler's license had been suspended and called for a tow truck to take her car away.

While the officer was talking with Vogeler, a plastic bag containing what appeared to be methamphetamine dropped out of her pocket. The officer then arrested her and searched her car, where he said he found the marijuana and a bag containing Vicodin.

Vogeler remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Sonora police reports

TUESDAY

8:36 a.m., vandalism — A car windshield was broken while the car was parked on the 100 block of Columbia Way.

11:38 a.m., theft — A caller on the 500 block of Alpine Lane said a cellular telephone was taken, possibly by someone entering the house.

6:24 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured when a rental truck hit a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

9:46 p.m., hazardous situation — An officer directed traffic around a disabled vehicle blocking Mono Way at Barretta Street.

YESTERDAY

12:43 a.m., assist — A bouncer at a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street asked for an officer to come to the bar.

4:25 a.m., arrest — A 25-year-old man was arrested on a warrant charging him with vandalism on Columbia Way.

Fires

YESTERDAY

11:10 a.m., East Sonora — A vehicle fire was reported on Highway 108 near Tuolumne Road. Damage was estimated at $100 to a 1975 Ford F100 pickup. David Friend of Ione owns the truck. Tuolumne County Fire Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.

12:55 p.m., Jamestown area — A vehicle fire was reported on Rawhide Road at Peppermint Creek. Damage was estimated at $10 to the rubber tubing of a 2001 Subaru Outback. Erin Pollen of Sonora owns the car. Tuolumne County Fire Department, CDF and Jamestown Fire Protection District responded.

8:45 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said bathrooms at Valley Springs Park on the 100 block of Pine Street were vandalized.

8:52 a.m., West Point — A vehicle parked on the 1100 block of Bald Mountain Road was vandalized.

TODAY

1:25 a.m., Angels Camp — Allen Michael Anderson, 55, 500 block of Gardner Lane, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after an arrest on Gardner Lane and Dogtown Road. He was released this morning after posting $15,000 bail.

Danny Everett Shoup, 44, 10400 block of Fricot City Road, San Andreas, booked at 2:45 a.m. today after arrest on Old Gulch Road west of Lower Michael Road, Mountain Ranch area.
