TUOLUMNE COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

12:13 a.m., Soulsbyville —  A man and woman were pushing each other and yelling at each other on the 17400 block of Carlozzi Drive.

 6:27 a.m., Jamestown — A 2008 Dodge pickup was stolen from the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road sometime between 1 and 4 a.m.

10:01 a.m., Columbia — A resident of the 22700 block of Bald Mountain Road North reported burglaries to the residence and various outbuildings on the property. The call was referred to Tuolumne Narcotics Team.     

10:05 a.m., East Sonora — A man caught by a worker taking items from a storage area on the 18000 block of Blue Bell East left without the items.

10:44 a.m., Sonora — A property management employee went to a vacant home on the 21000 block of Shaws Flat Road, saw a person running from a shed on the property and found clothing and feces there. He suspected someone was living there without permission.

11:48 p.m., La Grange — Someone was bitten by a snake on the 2900 block of Highway 132.

12:20 p.m., Jamestown —  Someone cut a hole in the roof of a business on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road and stole money from a change machine.

12:53 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 12900 block of Mountain View Road said there were self-appointed peace officers in his yard, and they refused to leave.

1:34 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 23000 block of Huckleberry Lane received a call from his bank asking him if it was OK to charge him for a $2,500 vacation airline deal. He did not make the charge, so the bank denied it and canceled the card.

2:12 p.m., Sonora area — A man said his backyard was heavily vandalized while he was away.

2:58 p.m., Columbia — Someone wrote a check using the account number of a resident of the 22500 block of Loop Lane. The account information was taken from a postal collection box and used in Modesto.

3:42 p.m., Jamestown — Traffic was backed up on Highway 108 for almost an hour because a three-car, minor injury accident blocked Highway 108 near Cemetery Road. The only other information immediately available was that a Buick, Lexus and Toyota were involved, and the road was cleared at 4:36 p.m.

5:38 p.m., Twain Harte — A vacation home was broken into, and a television set, two DVD players, a computer monitor and lamps were taken.

 8:06 p.m., Jamestown — A woman was hitting her husband in front of a residence on the 8000 block of Old Melones Dam Road. She was arrested on suspicion of battery of a spouse.

 

SATURDAY

8:54 a.m., Sonora area — Items were stolen from a vehicle on the 21600 block of La Vereda Road.

12:22 p.m., Sonora area — Marijuana plants were located on the 13600 block of Bergel Road and booked for destruction.

3:39 p.m., Sonora area — Change and a baseball mit were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 15500 block of Buena Vista Avenida.

3:52 p.m., Strawberry — A cabin at Old Strawberry Road and Summerhill Drive was burglarized.

5:43 p.m., Sonora area — Boat trailers were stolen from a property on the 16600 block of Draper Mine Road and trash was dumped on the property. The owner had not been there since December. 

 

SUNDAY

2:44 a.m., Sonora area — A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violation of parole on the 13800 block of Mono Way. 

11:54 a.m., Sonora area — A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on the 21900 block of Paseo De Los Portales Road.

10:54 p.m., La Grange — Someone was driving a boat recklessly at Don Pedro Reservoir and damaged another boat in the marina.

SUNDAY

10:32 p.m., Tuolumne — Jamie Melissa Salazar, 34, of the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 18600 block of Madrone Street.

FRIDAY

8:45 p.m., Sonora area — James Edward Roeber Jr., 61, of the 11500 block of Racetrack Road, was booked after an arrest on Jamestown Road south of Mount Brow Road.

 

SUNDAY

11:41 p.m., West County — Brittany Nicole Patterson, 25, of the 4800 block of Estates Drive, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on the 14400 block of Tulloch Road. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a license suspended for a DUI.

 

 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

10:06 a.m., animal complaint — A woman said three young black cows were just in her yard and were now wandering down Hope Lane. They and their owner were found, and they were moved to the owner’s property.

3:49 p.m., theft — An X-Box was stolen from Columbia Way.

7:09 p.m., warrant arrest — A man was arrested on a warrant after officers were told people were rolling a joint and smoking marijuana in front of a business on South Washington Street. A small amount of a controlled substance was booked for destruction.

 

SATURDAY

10:49 a.m., traffic violations — A 20-year-old man was cited on suspicion of driving without a license, registration and proof of insurance on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

2:13 p.m., public intoxication — A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 300 block of West Jackson Street.

3:30 p.m., traffic violations — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and a 23-year-old man was cited on suspicion of driving without a license.

3:47 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of urinating in public and violation of probation at Courthouse Square.

5:36 p.m., public intoxication — A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and violation of probation at North Washington Street and Yaney Avenue.

5:42 p.m., theft — A 19-year-old man was cited on suspicion of theft and possession of alcohol by a minor on the 700 block of Mono Way.

11:57 p.m., warrant arrest — A 21-year-old was cited on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and warned for a brake light problem. A 40-year-old woman was arrested on local warrants for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

 

SUNDAY

3:09 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A pedestrian was cited on suspicion of walking in the roadway at South Stewart and Church Streets.

3:28 p.m., traffic accident — A two-vehicle accident was reported on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

3:47 p.m., assault — A woman said her neighbor hit her and she was bleeding, but declined medical attention.

5 p.m., warrant arrest — A 32-year-old man was arrested on two felony warrants and a charge of resisting arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

6:41 p.m., public intoxication — A 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Snell Street.

 

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

12:49 p.m., Murphys — A residence on Possum Trail was burglarized.

3:03 p.m., Railroad Flat — People in a motorhome on private property Thursday were asked to leave. They drove off the property about 100 feet, but they were back Friday with five tents.

4:02 p.m., Jenny Lind — Identity theft was reported on Amiel Way.

4:18 p.m., Valley Springs — An outhouse was vandalized on Paloma Road.

6:50 p.m., San Andreas — A residence was broken into on Main Street.

8:20 p.m., Vallecito — An arrest was made on Highway 4 on a public intoxication charge.

 

SATURDAY

12:28 a.m., Wallace — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and possession of drugs at a business on the 7900 block of Highway 12.

1:05 a.m., Burson — A 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, obstructing a public officer and battery on a peace officer or emergency technician on the 11700 block of Wade Lane.

3:43 p.m., Angels Camp — Two men were fighting on Springhouse Road.

 

SUNDAY

12:27 p.m., Arnold — Someone was shooting paintballs or pellets at a property on Highway 4.

12:29 p.m., Copperopolis — Juveniles were climbing on equipment at a construction site on Main Street.

3:15 p.m., Copperopolis — A kayak that was tied up on Paseo Delago was not there when the owner returned.

5:01 p.m., Angels Camp — A cow was shot on a Whittle Road property.

7:41 p.m., Copperopolis — Rufino John Mendiola, 29, of the 100 block of Pheasant Run Drive, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest at his home.

10:38 p.m., San Andreas — Kyle Jay Tammarine, 24, of the 100 block of Market Street, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of robbery, first degree burglary and damaging power lines after an arrest on the 1300 block of Calaveritas Road. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation, obstructing a public officer and being under the influence of drugs.

 

SUNDAY

11:32 a.m., Rail Road Flat — David Michael Ashton, 46, of the 6100 block of Railroad Flat Road, was booked on suspicion of grand theft after an arrest at his home.

1:18 a.m., San Andreas — Mark Menchaca, 46, of an unknown address and town, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 south of Union Mine Road.

10:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Genola Ann Strahorn, 35, of the 7200 block of Baldwin Street, was booked after an arrest on the 8200 block of Baldwin Street. She was also booked on misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of drugs and driving with a suspended license. 

 

SUNDAY

8:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Juan Manuel Espinoza, 49, of the 13700 block of Camanche Lane, Burson, was booked after an arrest on Highway 26 east of Ospital Road.

9:50 p.m., Murphys — Nicholas Eugene Stockman, 26, of the 600 block of Sonora Avenue, El Granada, was booked after an arrest at Bret Harte and Emerald Creek drives. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of obstructing a public officer, hit-and-run with property damage and vandalism.
