Sheriff's report

TUESDAY

9:29 a.m., Jamestown — A man at Treat Enterprises on the 19400 block of Rawhide Road said tools had been stolen in an ongoing problem.

11:05 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a marble plaque on the wall at Tuolumne Memorial Veterans Hall on the 18300 block of Fir Avenue was broken sometime Friday night.

11:48 a.m., Sonora area — A California Highway Patrol officer in Stockton notified law enforcement agencies in the area after a 2004 Peterbilt propane tank truck was stolen sometime late Monday or early Tuesday from Ripon. The truck, license plate number 7J1415, was carrying 5,000 gallons of propane.

1:28 p.m., Columbia — A woman said two men were seen stumbling around the front of Columbia Elementary School and were possibly drunk.

1:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said graffiti was painted on the wall at the American Legion Hall on the 18700 block of Manzanita Drive and a window was broken.

2:15 p.m., Jamestown — A woman found a car stereo and CD player in bushes near her house on the 10500 block of Petticoat Junction Drive.

4:23 p.m., Jamestown — A man said he was having trouble with a neighbor boy who is vandalizing a house on the 18000 block of Seventh Avenue.

6:39 p.m., Sonora area — A man said tools and a roll-away tool box had been stolen from a barn on the 20700 block of Lyons-Bald Mountain Road.

6:40 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her boyfriend pulled all her belongings out of his truck then ran over a basket of clothing as he drove off from Jamestown Terrace Apartments on Preston Lane.

8:14 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22000 block of Bret Harte Drive said the cable to his satellite dish was cut.

9:46 p.m., Standard area — A caller said a man has moved back into a condemned house on Serrano Road and was running a generator.

9:52 p.m., Columbia — A 60-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop on North Airport Road.

YESTERDAY

2 a.m., Jamestown — A 24-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop on Rawhide Road.

4:04 a.m., Sonora area — A man on Sunshine Hill Road said he heard people walking over metal in his yard and yelled at them to get off his property.

11:28 a.m., animal complaints — A kitten caught in a cat trap set on Orchard Avenue was picked up by an animal control officer.

1:52 p.m., traffic violation — A 30-year-old man was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on South Barretta Street.

2:09 p.m., lost property — A caller said a misplaced fanny pack ended up going to a Salvation Army thrift store in Stockton. When the pack was returned, the items inside it were missing.

5:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller on Summit Avenue said a strange man was walking around the area.

6:04 p.m., reckless driving — A caller said a young man with a shaved head was driving an all-terrain vehicle up and down Oakside Drive going about 50 mph.

7:03 p.m., traffic violation — A caller said a possibly drunken driver in a red Chevrolet truck left a convenience store on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

YESTERDAY

12:49 p.m., Mono Vista — A 10-by-10-foot spot fire was reported on the 20800 block of Mechanical Drive. Chris Maiser of Sonora owns the land. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

TUESDAY

8:01 a.m., West Point — A court order was violated on the 500 block of Sawyer Road.

8:53 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A vehicle stopped for a turkey on the 4600 block of Mountain Ranch Road and was hit from behind by a motorcycle.

10:34 a.m., San Andreas — A case of forgery was reported at the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department.

10:40 a.m., San Andreas — A person at the office of the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department reported threats being made.

1:56 p.m., San Andreas — A person drove off without paying for gas on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street. The person was located and returned to the station to pay.

3:04 p.m., Burson — A landlord and tenant were arguing on the 4700 block of Highway 12.

4:47 p.m., Paloma — A caller on the 6600 block of Goodell Road said when she came home, her gate was vandalized.

4:56 p.m., Vallecito — A caller said loud music was being played on the 3600 block of Poag Road.

6:58 p.m., Burson — A mother and daughter were arguing on the 5400 block of Messing Road.

7:07 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 100 block of Broadway Street said a neighbor was playing loud music.

7:21 p.m., Sheep Ranch — A caller on the 12000 block of Armstrong Road said a neighbor was making threats.

7:50 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 1300 block of Calaveritas Road said a man and his dog had just entered a vacant house.

8:08 p.m., Arnold — A family was arguing on the 2600 block of Country Club Drive.

8:08 p.m., West Point — A caller said a person sitting on a four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle on the 1500 block of Valentine Hill Drive was yelling at him.

8:20 p.m., Vallecito — A caller said a U-Haul moving truck was driving down Camp Nine Road.

YESTERDAY

12:08 a.m., Burson — A caller on the 2800 block of Highway 12 said a light was coming from the back door of a restaurant and that music was being played. A deputy found it was people cleaning the restaurant.

4:41 a.m., Murphys — A caller on the 400 block of South Algiers Street said someone was trying to break into a new store.

Fires

YESTERDAY

7:55 p.m., Arnold area — A vehicle fire was reported on the 4700 block of South Burson Road. Cause of the fire was undetermined. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to a 1994 Mustang owned by Jose Bargas of Arnold. Foothill Fire Protection District and CDF responded.
