Sheriff's reports


4:56 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 15200 block of Cavalieri Road said her brother was fighting with another man at the house.

5:24 p.m., Columbia — A caller said two teenage boys were riding a motorcycle through a mobile home park on the 22400 block of Airport Road South without helmets in a reckless manner.

6:30 p.m., Sonora Meadows — The driver's side window of a car parked on the 21300 block of Crestview Drive was broken out.

6:46 p.m., Dardanelle — A large pine tree fell onto a cabin in Buena Vista Cabin Tract, destroying the cabin. No one was in the cabin at the time.

7:06 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man on the 17000 block of Nile River Drive said an 8-year-old girl came to his house and said she was lost.

9:02 p.m., Columbia — The owner of Columbia Nursery and Florist chased a man seen running from the store after a burglar alarm was tripped.

Sonora police reports


8:58 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A Pak-N-Save employee said two people in the store might have been people the employee saw on "America's Most Wanted" TV show. An officer determined the people were not wanted.

11:18 a.m., vandalism — Lockers facing Sonora High School football field were broken into and items were thrown about the school.

11:24 a.m., theft — A woman said the rear license plate was stolen off her car parked on the 600 block of Lyons Street.

11:38 a.m., theft — A woman on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said 250 CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

4:36 p.m., traffic accident — No injuries were reported in a traffic accident on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

4:43 p.m., harassment — A woman on the 18000 block of Maple Avenue said a man was trying to pick a fight with her husband while the three were in a Sonora Crossroad shopping center store.

5:37 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on the 11000 block of McKibbin Drive said his adult son bought liquor for his minor son at a Sonora liquor store.

12:26 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 3500 block of North Burson Road said a bird has been stolen.

2:58 p.m., West Point — A man on the 100 block of Hidgon Spink Cutoff said a dog chased him and his son into a garage. Animal control officers went to the house.

4:06 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 3300 block of Venado Drive said a minor was driving a car without a license.

5:22 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 400 block of Pebble Beach Court said his car was scratched with a key.

5:29 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller on Quail Oaks Road said a all-terrain vehicle was stolen and property vandalized.

7:04 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller said an unoccupied boat was sinking on Tulloch Reservoir near Peninsula Estates in Poker Flat.

9:37 p.m., Copperopolis — A deputy went to a house on the 800 block of Poker Flat Road after a neighbor found the door open.


12:13 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone on the 4800 block of Little John Road called 911 to say a person at the house had a knife.

2:19 a.m., San Andreas — A man just released from jail was at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital emergency room, sitting in the waiting room.

Felony bookings


6:45 p.m., Burson — Jeremiah Joseph Costa, 22, 6500 block of South Burson Road, Burson, booked on a warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance after arrest on Messing Road, Burson. He was released without bail.


2 a.m., Wilseyville — Cary Lee Miller, 49, 3700 block of Rail Road Flat Road, Wilseyville, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning, held in lieu of $15,000 bail.

6:53 a.m., Valley Springs — Ilya Fanin, 20, 2600 block of Rhien Way, Sacramento, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at Veterans Ballfield in Valley Springs. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.
