TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Department reported the following:

SATURDAY

8:05 a.m., Sonora area — Several mail boxes were opened and mail was strewn about on the 21400 block of Longeway Road. 

9:50 a.m., Jamestown — Vandalism occurred on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

10:12 a.m., Jamestown — A man reported that his ex-wife stole a microwave from his house on the 9800 block of Pulpit Rock Road. 

10:51 a.m., Sonora area — A couple argued over custody of a dog on the 16900 block of Mono Vista Road North.

11:33 a.m., Columbia — An arrest was made after a burglary on 12400 block of Big Hill Road.

12:39 p.m., Twain Harte — A business on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road was burglarized.

1:21 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 8000 block of Williamson Road said her ex-boyfriend, his new girlfriend and the girlfriend’s mother have been harassing and threatening her via text and email.

 1:59 p.m., Soulsbyville — A door was kicked in at a house on the 16900 block of Monte Grande Drive.

2:16 p.m., Sierra Village — A fight occurred at a business on the 24900 block of Highway 108. 

2:18 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman arrived at a business on the 24900 block of Highway 108 asking for help after an assault.

4:47 p.m., Tuolumne — Earrings were stolen from a house on the 20100 block of Tuolumne Road North.

6:48 p.m., Long Barn — Someone was setting off fireworks at Highway 108 and Stoddard Springs Road.

9:49 p.m., Sonora area — A fight occurred at a party on the 11700 block of Campo Seco Road.

SUNDAY

6:50 a.m., Jamestown — A business on the 18200 block of Main Street was burglarized.

8:07 a.m., Jamestown — A burglary was reported on the 18200 block of Highway 108.

9:32 a.m., Jamestown — A church on the 18200 block of Smoke Street was burglarized.

10:10 a.m., Jamestown — A business on the 18200 block of Highway 108 was burglarized.

Noon, Mi-Wuk Village — A man trespassed, rifled through cupboards and urinated on walls at a church on the 24100 block of Pine Lake Drive.

1:46 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone witnessed a drug deal on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive.

2:56 p.m., Columbia — A burglary occurred and watches were taken from a house on the 11200 block of Damin Road.

3:26 p.m., Sonora area — A burglary occurred at house on the 14200 block of Alder Lane.

6:14 p.m., Jamestown — Two people were drunk in public on the 9900 block of Victoria Place.

9:30 p.m., Sonora — A hit-and-run occurred at the 800 block of Mono Way.

SATURDAY

9:44 p.m., Sonora — Kim Diane Storey, age and address unknown, was booked on suspicion of drug possession with intent to sell, drug possession. She was also charged with misdemeanor DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SUNDAY

2:50 a.m., Sonora — John Anthony Mendiola, 38, a transient, was booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger after an arrest at Stockton and Bradford streets.

3:22 p.m., Sonora — Kenneth Charles Camara, 49, of the 20500 block of Gerber Road, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence causing bodily harm or injury after an arrest at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was also charged with misdemeanor DUI.

SATURDAY

8:30 p.m., Twain Harte — Clay Kelsay Young, 65, of the 22600 block of Robinhood Drive, was booked after an arrest at Robin Hood and Tuolumne roads.

4:46 p.m., Sonora — Everett Charles Zesiger, 44, of the the 30 block of West Lane, was booked after an arrest on West Lane.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:08 a.m., warrant arrest — A 52-year-old man was arrested at North Washington Street and Shaws Flat Road and booked on a misdemeanor warrant for public intoxication.

10:56 a.m., traffic violation — A 28-year-old man stopped on the 400 block of Greenley Road was charged with driving with no license, no insurance and no registration. The car he was driving was towed and placed on a 30-day hold.

1:09 p.m., traffic accidents — A be-on-the-lookout was issued for a green Dodge Stratus which was being driven recklessly and had possibly hit a parked car at Mono Way and Restano Way. It was stopped on Sanguinetti Road, and a property damage accident report was issued. An officer determined the driver, described as young, was not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

3:23 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred on Sanguinetti Road in front of the Crossroads shopping center.

5:28 p.m., controlled substances — After a probation search of a vehicle on Highway 49 in Sonora, the driver was cited and released on suspicion of possession of marijuana and driving with no registration or insurance. A complaint was to be sent to the district attorney for probation violation.

10:30 p.m., traffic violation — A man was cited and released on Lyons Bald Mountain Road on charges of being an unlicensed driver and a tail-light violation.

SATURDAY

4:26 p.m., driving under the influence — An arrest was made on East Bald Mountain Road.

4:42 p.m., lost property — A woman lost her wallet at a business on Sanguinetti Road.

6:26 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Three males tried to break into lockers at Sonora High School.

9:05 p.m., driving under the influence — An arrest was made on South Washington Street.

SUNDAY

2:32 a.m., weapons violations — A man was arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger on Stockton Road.

11:36 a.m., driving under the influence — An arrest was made on Mono Way.

1:22 p.m., theft — A wallet and keys were stolen from a shopping cart at a business on Sanguinetti Road.

4:48 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman said that lottery scammers will not stop calling her Terrace Road residence.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 

FRIDAY

7:46 a.m., Wallace — Items were stolen after a break-in at a business on Highway 12.

10:16 a.m., Valley Springs — A window was broken on Heney Lane.

12:27 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A fight occurred on Poverty Gulch Court.

3:56 p.m., Valley Springs — Items were stolen from a storage unit on Country View Drive.

4:23 p.m., Arnold — A burglary occurred on Meadowview Road.

6:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Several people were trespassing and a party was held at a red-tagged house on Laurel Street.

9:08 p.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made after a disturbance at a business on East Saint Charles Street.

SATURDAY

1:12 a.m., Murphys — Someone tried to steal items from a car on Church Street.

8:21 a.m., San Andreas —  A travel trailer was broken into on Knief Lane.

11:31 a.m., Murphys — Appliances and cabinets were stolen from Diltz Lane.

5:26 p.m., Arnold — A burglary occurred on Gertrude Way.

7:29 p.m., San Andreas — Animal cruelty was reported on Big Foot Road.

7:53 p.m., Arnold — A theft occurred at a business on Highway 4.

9:02 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was driving under the influence on Highway 49 and Cosgrave Road.

SUNDAY

8:55 a.m., Valley Springs — Medications were stolen on Quail Oaks Road.

9 a.m., Valley Springs — A motor was stolen on Quail Oaks Road.

11:30 a.m., Wallace — Batteries were stolen at a business on Highway 12.

FRIDAY

12:30 a.m., Angels Camp — Stacey Marie Near, 41, of the 100 block of Bridle Point Circle, Copperopolis, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor DUI.

1:15 p.m., Valley Springs — Jacob Ryan Butler, 27, of the 8000 block of Westhill Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of marijuana for sale, vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and misdemeanor possession of marijuana over 28.5 grams and possession of unlawful paraphernalia after an arrest at his home.

SATURDAY

5 p.m., Railroad Flat — Judy Raye Zabala, 57, of the 2000 block of Liberty Hill Road, was booked on suspicion of corporal injury of a spouse or cohabitant and misdemeanor charges of violation of a restraining order and obstructing a police officer.

12:30 a.m., Jenny Lind — John Edward Brakehill, 51, of the 7000 block of Dusty Trail, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest at Jenny Lind Road and Highway 26.

12:59 a.m., Copperopolis — Floyd Nathan Cunningham, 62, of the 1700 block of Picadilly Way, Manteca, was booked after an arrest on Highway 4.

8:44 p.m., Angels Camp — Arthur Linich, 51, of the 700 block of Kirby Street, was booked after an arrest at Easy Street and Gardner Lane.
