The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


1:51 p.m., threats — A person reported receiving ongoing threats at Cassina High School.

3:09 p.m., public intoxication — A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after he was seen sleeping on stairs of a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

4:39 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man was punching walls in the Tuolumne County Behavioral Health lobby.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7:27 a.m., Jamestown area — More than 20 cows were in the road on Highway 108 at La Grange Road.

9:58 a.m., Twain Harte — A rental home on the 22500 block of Tuolumne Road North was vandalized.

10:01 a.m., Columbia — A home on the 11100 block of State Street was burglarized.

11:22 a.m., Long Barn — Medication was stolen from a residence on the 24900 block of Highway 108.

11:41 a.m., Jamestown — Someone vandalized a vehicle on the 18500 block of Jamestown Road in an apparent attempt to siphon gas.

11:43 a.m., Crystal Falls — A fire hydrant on the 16800 block of American River Drive was possibly hit by a car and an estimated 130,000 gallons of water leaked out. 

12:22 p.m., Sonora — A telephone scam was reported on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle.

12:28 p.m., Groveland — A woman bought a car from a private seller and discovered there was no catalytic converter.

12:34 p.m., Sonora area — A person on the 19900 block of Rough and Ready Trail lost $2,900 in an Internet scam.

3:53 p.m., Tuolumne area — People were dumping trash at Wards Ferry and Yosemite roads.

5:08 p.m., Columbia — A residence on the 21900 block of Sawmill Flat Road was burglarized Saturday.

8:39 p.m., East Sonora — A sign valued at $400 was stolen from a business at Highway 108 and Via Este Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:05 a.m., Valley Springs — A residence on La Contenta Drive was vandalized.

10:09 a.m., San Andreas — A Calaveras River Academy student stole a phone from a bus driver.

1:28 p.m., Murphys — Someone appeared to be driving under the influence on Highway 4 and Pennsylvania Gulch Road.


5:09 a.m., Valley Springs — A man reported that an intoxicated person left drove away his Spyglass Road home.

Felony bookings


Noon, San Andreas — Michelle Diane Hardwick, 40, of the 1400 block of Gold Hunter Drive, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and violation of post-release supervision after an arrest on the 3300 block of Burson Road.

12:15 p.m., Burson — Shannon Lynn Solar, 37, of the 3300 block of Davis Drive, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at her home.

1:45 p.m., San Andreas — Desiree Michelle Butera, 41, of the 100 block of Main Street, was booked on suspicion of felony reckless evading after an arrest on the 100 block of Main Street. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, obstructing a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

3:15 p.m., Arnold — Carrie Stroble, 45, of the 600 block of Arnold Byway, was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of displaying false vehicle registration after an arrest at her home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


11:15 p.m., San Andreas — Marc Wayne Yates, 63, of the 700 block of Cobble Hill Way, Galt, was booked after an arrest at Mark Twain Medical Center.
