The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


5:51 a.m., drugs — A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and a local felony warrant on East Hillcrest Drive.

6:37 a.m., vandalism — A window was broken at a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

10:58 a.m., public intoxication — A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after walking toward oncoming traffic on Stockton Road.

4:32 p.m., driving under the influence — A possible drunk driver was reported on Mono Way but police were unable to locate the vehicle. 

5:07 p.m., animal complaints — Pitbulls attacked a woman’s dog while she was walking it on Truckenmiller Drive. The woman said the pitbulls are always running loose and police advised the owner of the complaints.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7:55 a.m., Soulsbyville — Three people tried to break into a truck on the 20000 block of Community Drive on Tuesday night. The suspects left in a white Dodge Durango.

8:32 a.m., La Grange — About 12 mailboxes on Pepito Drive, between Juan Court and Merced Falls Road, were opened and emptied. The caller said some of the mailboxes belonged to people who are out of town.

9:14 a.m., Jamestown — Someone tried to break into an apartment on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

10:41 a.m., Sonora area — A man’s debit card was used by someone else to purchase items online.

11:13 a.m., Sonora area — Food was placed in a mailbox on the 19700 block of Phoenix Lake Road and the resident was not sure what to do with it.

12:05 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A woman was assaulted by another woman on the 21400 block of Paseo De Los Portales.

1:04 p.m., Tuolumne — A wallet was stolen from a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

1:57 p.m., Don Pedro — A car was burglarized at Highway 132 and Bonds Flat Road while the owner was fishing. 

4:52 p.m., Sonora area — A weight bench was stolen on the 19300 block of Overlook Drive.

5:08 p.m., East Sonora — A car was burglarized on the 13800 block of Mono Way.

Felony bookings


7:50 a.m., Soulsbyville — Susanna Marie Knaak, 45, of the 21200 block of Oman Drive, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at her home.

7:07 p.m., Tuolumne — Dale Bradley Olson, 56, of the 19800 block of Soulsbyville Road, was booked on suspicion of stalking with a temporary restraining order, committing a felony while released on bail and violating a protective order after an arrest on the 18500 block of Pine Street.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:05 a.m., Sonora area — Christopher William Mulvihill, 28, of the 3800 block of Merced Avenue, Denair, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way at Highway 108.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


2:19 p.m., Angels Camp — A storage unit on the 2200 block of Highway 49 was broken into.

4:16 p.m., Angels Camp — A man suspected to be intoxicated took off his shirt and waved it around on the 200 block of South Main Street.

5:26 p.m., Valley Springs — A possible drunk driver was reported at highways 12 and 26.

7:42 p.m., Douglas Flat — Someone was arrested on suspicion of battery after a fight on Sugar Pine Way.
