Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:49 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man on the 22000 block of Phoenix Lake Road said a 32-gallon trash can filled with trash was stolen overnight.

8:09 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Pine Cone Cafe on the 24500 block of Highway 108 was burglarized and $210 was stolen.

9:27 a.m., Long Barn — An employee at The Slide Inn on the 26100 block of Long Barn Road said a woman was asked to leave the business and left. She then went across Highway 108 and began yelling threats and trying to flag down passing drivers. A propane truck driver stopped for the woman and also called the sheriff's department.

10:36 a.m., Sonora Meadows area — A woman on the 21500 block of Phoenix Lake Road said someone went through three unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway and stole prescription medication from one.

11:13 a.m., West county — A caller asked for a deputy to help take care of a transient problem at business on the 14400 block of Highway 108.

11:15 a.m., Sonora Meadows — A woman came to the sheriff's department to say her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked on the 21600 block of Belleview Creek Road.

11:47 a.m., East Sonora — A Tuolumne County Transit employee said a bus driver at The Junction shopping center needed help removing an elderly irate woman from a bus.

1:15 p.m., Jupiter — A woman said someone is squatting on her property on the 29000 block of Italian Bar Road.

1:36 p.m., Curtis Creek Ranch area — A woman said while her aunt found a tombstone while raking in her back yard on Barron Ranch Road.

2:49 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said a woman broke into a shed on Shaws Flat Road near Mt. Brow Road.

3:05 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A man on the 17700 block of Mt. Elizabeth Drive said he found a safe with items in it on her property.

3:52 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said he saw either two mountain lions or two bobcats on the top of a hill overlooking a shopping center on Tiffeni Drive.

4:57 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a boy was at Jamestown Youth Center with a scooter that was previously reported stolen.

5 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a Winnebago motor home has been parked on the 18400 block of Carter Street since Sunday night.

5:32 p.m., Jamestown — A Jamestown Elementary School employee found a stack of clothing by a front fence with a note on top that said "please don't take anymore of my stuff, my car is enough for one day."

6:36 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man said two unlocked vehicles parked on the 22000 block of Elizabeth Lane were broken into and a wallet and three or four packs of cigarettes were stolen.

8:21 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said his neighbor's dogs were barking at someone rustling in bushes at a house on Cedar Street.

8:27 p.m., Willow Springs — A caller said two people in a white van with ladders on the back are at a house on Allison Way trying to collect money on a past due cable bill. The caller thought it was a strange time to be collecting money.

9:29 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said there were two vehicles parked at a fast food restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way with possibly drunken teenagers inside.

11:17 p.m., Columbia — A caller said about a dozen people were in front of a building on the 11000 block of State Street partying and making too much noise.

YESTERDAY

12:38 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said she was assaulted by a 19-year-old woman who also damaged her car parked on the 22100 block of Tuolumne Road North.

WEDNESDAY

5:18 p.m., Ponderosa Hills — Jared Sunday, 18, 500 block of South Washington Street, Sonora, booked on suspicion of felony battery and damaging a telephone line after an arrest on the 20000 block of Canyon View Drive. He remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

8:41 p.m., Jamestown area — Cheryl Kay Miller, 52, 6200 block of Dogtown Road, Coulterville, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Jacksonville Road at Old Jacksonville Road. No details were available. She remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

8:45 p.m., Chinese Camp area — Steven Paul Wilson, 47, 20500 block of Quail Hollow Court, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance after an arrest at the Red Hills rest area on Red Hills Road.

He was released yesterday after posting $10,000 bail.

WEDNESDAY

9:05 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on Mono Way.

4:01 p.m., burglary — A woman on the 300 block of North Washington Street found a screen was cut at her home and a window damaged.

4:13 p.m., public peace — A caller said two young men who came out of the North Washington Street court house were yelling and screaming at passing cars.

4:29 p.m., controlled substance — A caller said four teenagers and an adult were smoking marijuana on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

8:25 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — A caller on the 300 block of North Washington Street said a neighbor across the street hits golf balls at the caller's apartment.

9:27 p.m., threats — A woman on the 700 block of South Barretta Street said eight to 10 men came to her house and threatened her, her husband and her brother.

YESTERDAY

12:41 a.m., trespassing — An employee at a motel on the 300 block of South Washington Street said a homeless woman wanting a place to sleep was causing problems.

6:48 a.m., traffic violation — A 48-year-old man was cited for driving with false tabs on his vehicle license plate.

WEDNESDAY

6:48 a.m., Valley Springs — A restraining order was possibly violated on the 7900 block of Cabernet Street.

8:13 a.m., San Andreas — A burglary occurred on the first block of Church Hill Road.

8:55 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 2400 block of Cheyenne Road said coyotes chased a goat and trapped it in a fence. A deputy freed the goat.

9:10 a.m., Valley Springs — A woman was lying next to a small vehicle at the intersection of Olive Orchard Road and Highway 26. She said she was just working out and talking to God.

10:59 a.m., Murphys — A bank card was stolen on the 100 block of Mitchler Avenue.

12:29 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said he thought someone he was helping at the intersection of Highway 26 and Country View Drive stole gas from one of his vehicles.

1:05 p.m., Wilseyville — A caller on the 3900 block of Blagen Drive said someone cut her fence and let her animals out.

1:28 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a pitbull was running loose at Valley Springs Elementary School.

2:09 p.m., West Point — Trees were on fire on the 2100 block of Spink Road.

6:28 p.m., Copperopolis — Dogs were chasing livestock on the 2900 block of Cheyenne Road.

9:26 p.m., Dorrington — A cabin was burglarized on the 12000 block of Highway 4.

9:32 p.m., Dorrington — Another cabin was burglarized on the 12000 block of Highway 4.

10:48 p.m., Rancho Calaveras — A caller on the 8400 block of Baldwin Street said there adult son is causing a problem.

11:22 p.m., San Andreas — A domestic fight was reported on the 300 block of Nielsen Street.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

10:40 a.m., San Andreas — Nicla Saint John, 27, first block of Longman Lane, Arnold, booked on a Calaveras County warrant for burglary. John was transported to Calaveras County Jail after being arrested in another county on suspicion of prostitution and being under the influence of a controlled substance. As of this morning, she remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $22,000.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Arlene Vivian Lemalyn, 50, 5500 block of East Acampo Road, Acampo, booked at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 49 and Murphys Grade Road in Angels Camp.

Kimberly Ann Silveira, 37, first block of East Sequoia Avenue, Valley Springs, booked at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday after arrest at Veteran's Memorial Park in Valley Springs.
