The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:16 a.m., animal complaint — A dog on East Bald Mountain Road was continually barking. The owner was advised and was to address the issue.

10:09 a.m., unclassified — A citizen reported a man waving a large sign for advertising on the 200 block of South Washington Street. An officer informed the man of a city ordinance against such activity and agreed to comply.


8:10 a.m., disturbing the peace — Lifeline received a request for law enforcement because an intoxicated woman was yelling and breaking windows at a residence on South Barretta Street.

11:12 a.m., fire call — A transient lit a garbage can on fire. It was extinguished. The responsible person was contacted, and it was determined not to be arson.

3 p.m., traffic violation — Two children were driving a yellow frame dune buggy up and down Leonards Addition Road. They and their father were counseled and released.

6:38 p.m., unclassified — Illegal dredging was reported in the creek on Southgate Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


11:36 a.m., Jamestown — A woman received a fraudulent check from someone trying to buy an item from her off Craigslist.

12:59 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man’s identification was used by someone else for tax documents.

3:15 p.m., Sonora area — Two gold bracelets were stolen from a home on the 13800 block of Florence Way and sold to a local jewelry store.

3:56 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22300 block of Ponderosa Drive said her computer was hacked.

4:45 p.m., Sonora area — Juveniles were counseled for fighting on the 20200 block of Grouse Way and filming the fight.

8:16 p.m., Jamestown — Theft was reported on the 18100 block of Antone Street.

8:24 p.m., Sonora area — A man and woman were prowling around a vehicle on the 19100 block of Sunny Circle. A resident of the home went outside and the man and woman took off running. 

10:40 p.m., Sonora area — A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after fighting in a restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way.


12:17 a.m., Jamestown — A woman was taken to a hospital for alcohol poisoning and a 20-year-old man who was with her was arrested on suspicion of disobeying an order from a fireman or public officer.

2:23 a.m., Sonora area — A 43-year-old man was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle.

2:58 a.m., Columbia — A man’s porch on the 22400 block of South Airport Road was on fire and he extinguished it with a garden hose. He believed it was started by a family member. 

6:41 a.m., Jamestown — A residence on the 18100 block of Fourth Avenue was burglarized.

9:03 a.m., Jamestown — A driver of a pickup truck yelled at people riding bikes on Algerine and Algerine-Wards Ferry roads and shoved one of them. The truck driver apparently became frustrated when trying to pass the group.

11:47 a.m., Sonora area — A vacant home on the 21300 block of Phoenix Lake Road was burglarized. A sliding glass door was pried open and damage was estimated at $400.

12:10 p.m., Twain Harte — Lights were damaged at a rental cabin on 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive.

3:38 p.m., Sonora area — Medication was stolen from a home on the 20800 block of Lower Hillview Drive.

8:03 p.m., Jamestown — A flue fire was reported on the 19200 block of Rawhide Road.

7:27 p.m., Sonora area — David Earl Guerin, 28, of the 16600 block of Allison Way, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury and battery with serious bodily injury after an arrest at Sonora Regional Medical Center.

10:59 p.m., Sonora area — Juan Antonio Nichols, 29, of the 19100 block of Sunny Circle, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road east of Hess Avenue.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 


10:53 a.m., Valley Springs — A residence on Mockingbird Hill was vandalized.

2:47 p.m., Campo Seco — Vandalism was reported on Paloma Road.

3:57 p.m., Jenny Lind — A telephone scam was reported on Shelton Road.

4:19 p.m., Valley Springs — Battery was reported at McAtee and Baldwin streets.

5:34 p.m., Copperopolis — A residence on Little John Road was burglarized.


3:30 p.m., Vallecito — A residence on Coyote Creek Road was burglarized.

11:46 p.m., Murphys — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Highway 4.


6:23 a.m., Copperopolis — A residence on Oak Wood Court was burglarized.

Felony bookings:


1:20 p.m., Copperopolis — Jacob Roger Schulte, 19, of the 4400 block of Little John Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and first degree burglary after an arrest on Steeplechase Drive at Bridlewood Lane.

10:29 p.m., Angels Camp — Amanda Ruth Harper, 32, of the 300 block of Acorn Drive, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after an arrest at Highway 49 and Sams Way.

11 a.m., Angels Camp — Garren Blaine Fleeman, 48, of the 3100 block of Fairway Drive, Arnold, was booked after an arrest at North Main Street and Copello Drive.

8:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Christopher Andrew Ortega, 26, of the 7700 block of Latigo Court, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest at Highway 12 and Pettinger Road.


4:24 a.m., Angels Camp — Morgan Scott Hastings, 21, of the 20400 block of Silver Dawn Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on the 600 block of North Main Street.

6:38 p.m., Angels Camp — Lynn Marie Louderback, 54, of the 15300 block of Lupe Road, Pine Grove, was booked after an arrest on the 300 block of North Main Street.
