TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports SATURDAY 8:59 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said a boy and a woman just jumped off a balcony at an apartment from which they had recently been evicted. 9:36 p.m., East Sonora An employee at The Peppery said two people got into a fight in the parking lot because of a minor vehicle accident. 10:14 p.m., Tuolumne A man said a woman in a small sedan drove past a house on Carter Street near Laurel Avenue three times, each time yelling out her window. SUNDAY 12:47 a.m., Twain Harte A California Department of Forestry dispatcher said loud explosions could be heard near Bonanza Drive and Laramie Lane. A deputy could not find anything unusual in the area. 8:30 a.m., Moccasin A man said a houseboat stored at Moccasin Point Marina on Jacksonville Road was vandalized. A deputy said it appeared someone has been sleeping in the boat, but nothing appeared to have been stolen. 8:54 p.m., Twain Harte A man said his neighbor's property on Virginia and Gina avenues was vandalized when someone took down fence posts and drove a dune buggy over the property. 9:06 a.m., East Sonora A convenience store clerk on the 13700 block of Mono Way said a woman who arrived at the store on a bicycle was panhandling and harassing customers. 2:52 p.m., Jamestown A man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 9900 block of Victoria Way. 3:49 p.m., Jamestown A woman said a man came to her house on Ninth Avenue asking for cigarettes and drugs. When the woman refused, the man left heading toward Seventh Street. 4:07 p.m., Groveland A woman on the 19400 block of Grizzly Creek said a street sign valued at $40 was vandalized. 9:34 p.m., Jamestown A woman said an apartment on the 17900 block of Seco Street had a sign on it saying it was abandoned and tenants evicted, but someone was inside. A deputy checked and found a 38-year-old man there and arrested him on a Stanislaus County warrant for vehicle-code violations. 10:25 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 22000 block of Middle Camp Road said the front and rear windows of his vehicle were smashed. 11:37 p.m., East Sonora A caller on Cordelia Avenue said three men were in the area making loud noises and wandering around in bushes. 11:54 p.m., Wards Ferry Road area A caller on the 12000 block of Algerine Road said someone threw a large rock through a front window. YESTERDAY 12:22 a.m., Campo Seco Road area Someone threw rocks through a window at a house on the 18000 block of Berry Lane. A caller said after the rocks were thrown, he could hear someone running away and a vehicle taking off. 12:53 a.m., Jamestown A man on the 16200 block of Jacksonville Road said a rock was thrown through a front-door window, causing an estimated $200 in damage. Sonora police reports SATURDAY 1:01 a.m., disorderly conduct Four officers went to a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street to investigate a report of a fight. 6:45 a.m., traffic accidents No one was injured in a vehicle crash on Morningstar Drive and Cemetery Lane. 5:38 p.m., suspicious circumstances A Wal-Mart photo lab technician said the store received film that showed people using drugs. 8:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man on the 100 block of Pine Street said a man in a parked SUV was checking out a house where a bachelorette party was going on. The man had binoculars and a UHF antenna on top of his SUV. A be-on-the-lookout order was issued. SUNDAY 4:05 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on two unlocked windows at Subway Sandwiches on the 600 block of South Washington Street. 11:44 a.m., animal complaints A woman on the 100 block of Oak Street said her new dog was missing. The dog is a large, male, yellow Labrador with a red collar but no tags. The dog is neutered and had blue tattoos inside both ears. He answers to the name of Felipe. 12:49 p.m., burglary A caller on the 600 block of High Street said he came home from church and found three people coming down the stairs from his house. The people got into a moving van, and the caller saw the front door to his house was open. 2:54 p.m., fraudulent activities A woman on the 18200 block of Old Wards Ferry reported checks and debit cards stolen and used. 4 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane said employees at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road saw two men carrying boxes and run out the back fire exit. The men got into a 1980s model Ford Ranger pickup and left. 7:20 p.m., agency assist A caller on the 700 block of South Washington Street reported a vehicle vs. bike accident on Highway 108. 7:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman on the 100 block of South Barretta Street reported hearing an argument. Accidents Injury .......................................... 0 Non-injury ................................. 4 CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriff's reports SATURDAY 5:50 p.m., Jenny Lind A woman said a man pounded on the back of her vehicle and told her she was driving too fast on the 11700 block of Main Street. 6:48 p.m., Arnold A bicycle was reported stolen from a house on the 1800 block of Bonanza Way. 8:01 p.m., Arnold An employee at Big Trees Market said the store received a counterfeit $20 bill. 10:10 p.m., Murphys A sign at a business on the 400 block of Main Street was vandalized by teens for an estimated $300 in damage. 11:51 p.m., Copperopolis A woman on the 3000 block of Beaver Road said a man who appeared to be drunk broke items in her house earlier in the evening. SUNDAY 6:24 a.m., Burson A deputy helped pull a dead coyote from Highway 12 near Carmel Road. 7:54 a.m., West Point A caller said people driving a white Cadillac were causing a disturbance at a gas station on Highway 26 and Iris Way. 10:31 a.m., Mountain Ranch A deputy and animal control officers removed a pitbull dog found on top of a hay bale at Sender's Market on the 8100 block of Garabaldi Road. The dog was growling at customers. 12:46 p.m., Glencoe A deputy found a dog locked in a car parked on Highway 26 near Lower Dorray Road and helped an animal control officer remove the dog. The dog had been locked in the car for about six hours. 4:23 p.m., Valley Springs A deputy helped move cows that were loose on Evergreen Road. |
