TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports TUESDAY 7:45 a.m., Cedar Ridge A man said a woman he fired from a job threatened to burn his house down. 9:31 a.m., Sonora A court bailiff took a 4-inch knife away from someone and wanted it turned over to the Sheriff's Department for destruction. 10:30 a.m., Tuttletown area A man said he could smell something dead at the end of Jackass Hill Road. 3:21 p.m., East Sonora A caller said oil was spilled on North Hess Avenue just north of Mono Way. The county road crew was called out to clean it up. 3:47 p.m., Standard area A woman said a storage locker was broken into on the 15000 block of Camage Way. 5:25 p.m., Twain Harte area A 36-year-old woman was cited for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Highway 108 near Twain Harte. 5:52 p.m., Cedar Ridge A caller said two teenage boys were walking on Ox Bow Lane toward Kewin Mill Road, drinking beer and yelling at people. 6:04 p.m., East Sonora A woman on the 13900 block of Mono Way said her car parked there was stolen. 9:13 p.m., Tuolumne A Black Oak Casino security officer said two people inside a car were passing drugs back and forth. 10:18 p.m., Columbia A caller said he saw a man on a bicycle pull into a storage area on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, then run behind a store. YESTERDAY 2:04 a.m., Tuolumne A 25-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant when a deputy went to Black Oak Casino after receiving a call about a woman throwing chairs around the main casino floor. Felony bookings TUESDAY 1:52 p.m., Sonora Nathan Scott Chavez, 21, 20700 block of Caylor Drive, Soulsbyville, booked on suspicion of tampering with a fire alarm after an arrest at the Tuolumne County Jail. According to a sheriff's report, Chavez pulled a fire alarm inside the jail and it activated the sprinkler system. Water ran out of the sprinkler heads for about 15 to 20 minutes before it was turned off. Chavez remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail. YESTERDAY 1:30 a.m., Sugar Pine Frank Jay Yrigoyen Jr., 47, 1500 block of Vicksburg, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and heroin and possessing the drugs for sale after a traffic stop and arrest on Highway 108 at Middle Camp Road. A sheriff's report said a deputy stopped a truck driven by a woman driving east on Highway 108 because she was weaving on the road. Yrigoyen, the passenger, told the deputy he was a paroled felon. While the deputy was talking with the driver and Yrigoyen, another deputy was looking at a Black Oak Casino security videotape taken a few hours earlier which showed two people in a truck similar to the one the deputy stopped possibly using drugs in the casino parking lot. The deputy asked the driver and Yrigoyen to sit in his patrol car while he searched the truck. In the truck the deputy found 17 grams of heroin and $7,000 cash, the report said. Inside the patrol car, the deputy found a large amount of methamphetamine spilled over the back seat, the report said. The woman and Yrigoyen were then arrested, but no charges were filed against the woman. Yrigoyen was held without bail on a felony parole hold. 2:49 a.m., Tuolumne Sara Marie Shaw, 24, 10600 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging her with vehicle theft and misdemeanor traffic violations after a traffic stop and arrest on the 19400 block of North Tuolumne Road. She remained held this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail. Sonora police reports TUESDAY 7:45 a.m., warrant arrest A 23-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor traffic warrant after a traffic stop on Saratoga Road at Banner Drive. 9:51 a.m., vandalism A vehicle stored at Vic's tow yard on North Washington Street was vandalized. 4:29 p.m., theft A caller said a renter sold appliances out of a house on the 500 block of Snell Street. 5:30 p.m., traffic accident No one was injured in an accident in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center. CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriffs reports TUESDAY 6:20 a.m., Milton A road was closed for cleanup after trash from a suspected drug lab was thrown on Milton Road just south of town. 8:38 a.m., San Andreas A caller reported a runaway teenager from Rite of Passage on Fricot City Road. 9:37 a.m., Arnold A woman on the 1000 block of Manuel Road said someone she knew stole a ring and necklace from her last June. 12:41 p.m., Campo Seco Two people were arrested after stolen items were found in a car they were pushing on the 4200 block of Main Street. 1:33 p.m., Camanche A caller said construction workers on the 13900 block of Cobb Lane were harassing people. 1:46 p.m., Mokelumne Hill A caller was trying to put out a nonexistent fire and hearing voices on the 3900 block of Golden Hills Court. 2:08 p.m., Carson Hill A man on the 4800 block of Highway 49 said he was the victim of identity theft. 2:20 p.m., San Andreas A person came to the Sheriff's Department to report phone calls made on a stolen cell phone. 2:36 p.m., San Andreas An employee at a store on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street said a counterfeit bill was passed. 2:46 p.m., Burson A caller said people keep stealing custom-made street and address signs from a fence on the 7000 block of Warren Road. 5:41 p.m., Murphys A caller said a white Ford pickup truck was speeding up and down Ponderosa Road. Felony bookings TUESDAY 9:07 a.m., Angels Camp Janee Michelle Johnson, 35, 1200 block of Mark Twain Road, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, having drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle or syringe, and resisting arrest. As of this morning, she remained in custody in lieu of $65,000 bail. 11:11 a.m., San Andreas William Roth Harrison, 55, 200 block of Little Valley Road, Vallecito, booked on suspicion of cultivating marijuana and possessing marijuana for sale. Harrison was booked and released from the county jail. 5:15 p.m., Camanche Reservoir Adam Bud Lopez, 19, 400 block of East North Street, Stockton, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property, first-degree burglary, possessing drugs, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and vandalism. Lopez remained in custody this morning in lieu of $195,000 bail. 5:15 p.m., Camanche Reservoir Jonathan Wayne Taylor, 19, of Stockton, booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property, possessing drugs, first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, vandalism and violating parole. Taylor remained in custody this morning in lieu of $215,000 bail. |
