The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:55 a.m., traffic accident — Railing on Stockton Road was damaged in a hit-and-run.

8:59 a.m., fire — Landscaping was set on fire on the 700 block of Morning Star Drive and an arson report was taken.

10:11 a.m., animal complaint — A 49-year-old woman was cited on suspicion of owning a dog without a license and not having the pet on a leash after the dog was in a neighbor’s yard on Columbia Way.

10:21 a.m., school assist — A Cassina High School student was counseled for smoking on campus.

12:02 p.m., collision — A man riding a bicycle on the sidewalk hit a female pedestrian on the 400 block of South Washington Street. Both people were gone when police arrived.

12:34 p.m., vehicle theft — A car was stolen on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

12:54 p.m., traffic accident — A vehicle ran through a fence and into a yard on Elkin Street.

2:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A driver of a car was weaving on South Washington Street.

5:22 p.m., animal complaint — A dog was inside a vehicle for more than an hour. No windows were cracked and no water was seen. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

9:06 p.m., public intoxication — An intoxicated woman was in the middle of Greenley Road. She was gone when police arrived.

9:24 p.m., public intoxication — A 32-year-old woman and 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Highway 49. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:46 a.m., East Sonora — A bicycle that was left outside overnight and not locked up was stolen from the 14500 block of Lolly Lane.

7:42 p.m., Jamestown — Two juveniles were attempting to break into a business on the 18200 block of Main Street. They were gone on arrival of authorities.

9:47 p.m., Sonora area — A mountain lion was seen crossing the street at Racetrack Road and Bay Meadow Drive.


1:11 a.m., Tuolumne — An electrical fire started on the 20400 block of Skyline Road. The caller put it out but wanted to talk to fire officials.

4:42 a.m., Sonora area — Ronald Udell Paul, 45, of the 19500 block of Industrial Drive, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury after an arrest at his home.

11:40 p.m., Sonora — Anthony John Briggs, 23, a transient, was booked on suspicion of bringing alcohol or drugs into a jail after being in custody at Tuolumne County Jail.

11:40 p.m., Sonora — Justin Arthur White, 33, a transient, was booked on suspicion of bringing alcohol or drugs into a jail and selling drugs to an inmate after being in custody at Tuolumne County Jail. 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


1:37 p.m., San Andreas — Vandalism was reported at Calaveras River Academy.

2:11 p.m., Valley Springs — A physical fight was reported at a fast-food restaurant on Highway 12.

2:55 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Tires and rims were stolen from a trailer on Jesus Maria Road.

3:36 p.m., Wallace — A residential burglary was reported on Oliveira Court.

5:23 p.m., Arnold — The Calaveras County Humane Society received a counterfeit bill.

9:11 p.m., Arnold — Someone was cited on suspicion of battery on Anna Lee Way.

10:44 a.m., San Andreas — Angela Rose Lindow, 26, of the 3400 block of Mulford Court, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics and possession of fireworks without a permit in the Calaveras County Jail lobby.

1:58 p.m., San Andreas — Misty Nichole Jones, 27, of the 2800 block of West Rumble Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs, possession of narcotics, possession of drugs inside a prison and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Pope Street.

5:49 p.m., San Andreas — Emmett Nathan Barrett, of the 2100 block of Old Stagecoach Road, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of forging or altering vehicle registration after an arrest at Leonard and Gold Strike roads.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:



3:20, San Andreas — Sabrina Louise Williams, 19, of the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road, was booked after an arrest on the 300 block of Pope Street.
