TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:30 a.m., burglary — A theft occurred at a Mono Way grocery store.

12:24 a.m., disturbing the peace — A man was yelling at a woman on South Washington Street.

1:10 p.m., vandalism — A man said his brother destroyed property at his East Dodge Street residence and left a note saying he was going to return to burn down the house. The resident did not want his brother prosecuted.

SATURDAY

12:47 a.m., public intoxication — A man was dragging a female on South Stewart Street toward Restano Way. The woman was gone when police arrived. The man was found and booked on a public intoxication charge, then released. 

SATURDAY

12:47 a.m., public intoxication — A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Stewart and Lytton streets.

11:20 a.m., drugs — A possible drug deal was reported on the 200 block of Stockton Road.

7:56 p.m., public intoxication — A 51-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Greenley Road.

SUNDAY

4:23 p.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run accident was reported on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

6:19 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone was “Dumpster diving” behind a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:55 a.m., Jamestown — Two possibly intoxicated people kept falling off their bicycle on the 18100 block of Highway 108.

10:05 a.m., Twain Harte — About seven gallons of fuel was siphoned from a vehicle on the 22800 block of Black Hawk Drive.

2:09 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone drove over a row of mailboxes at Hayden and Tuolumne roads.

4:16 p.m., Jamestown — Two people were throwing litter over an embankment on 17800 block of Woods Way.

7:49 p.m., Soulsbyville — A driver hit an apparently abandoned car on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive and left the scene.

SATURDAY

10:50 a.m., Sonora area — A man was assaulted in a fight on the 20200 block of Grouse Way.

11:27 a.m., Jamestown — Theft was reported at a gas station on the 18100 block of Highway 108. 

3:27 p.m., Sonora — A man was at the Sonora Regional Medical Center emergency room after being injured in a fight in Greeley Hill.

3:40 p.m., Sonora area — Medication was taken from the 19000 block of Berg Court.

8:20 p.m., Long Barn — Teens were playing with fire and paper the 22100 block of Miriam Drive.

10:41 p.m., Columbia — Two people were arrested on suspicion of assault after jumping someone at Columbia College.

SUNDAY

5:59 a.m., Tuolumne — Methamphetamine was found inside a bathroom of a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

10:33 a.m., Jamestown — A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road.

12:11 p.m.., Sonora area — A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a gas station on the 14200 block of Mono Way.

12:48 p.m., Sonora area — A house on the 20300 block of Crow Court was egged.

12:55 p.m., Sonora area — A man appeared to be throwing rocks at passing vehicles on Mono Way and Cameron Lane.

7:54 p.m., Sonora area — A 16-year-old male was in the emergency room after being injured in a fight at Sparrow Lane and Covey Circle. Parents reportedly encouraged the fight. 

MONDAY

12:59 a.m., Jamestown — Someone was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana at Highway 120 and Jacksonville Road.

3:52 p.m., Sonora area — Michael Kenneth Mac Kern, 20, of the 22800 block of Bigler Street, Columbia, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation after an arrest on the 14500 block of Mono Way.

SATURDAY

1:53 a.m., Twain Harte — Joseph Logan Kelly, 29, of the 600 block of Stanislaus Road, Angels Camp, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Twain Harte Drive. 

3:40 a.m., Sonora area — Kaitlyn Suzann Byrd, 21, of the 200 block of South Gate Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Serrano Road.

Cal Fire reported the following:

SATURDAY

12:24 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A stovetop caught fire at a home on the 25000 block of Highway 108. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2,000. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:06 a.m., Murphys — Someone requested deputy assistance in recovering 32 quarters taken by laundry machines on Highway 4. 

1:36 p.m., Copperopolis — About 20 cattle were in the roadway at Copper Cove and Black Creek drives.

1:40 p.m., Angels Camp — An attempted scam was reported on Murphys Grade Road.

4:02 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A person did not pay cab fare on Mountain Ranch Road.

SATURDAY

12:37 a.m., Copperopolis — A mountain lion was spotted on Little John Road.

12:39 a.m., Angels Camp — A fence on Pool Station Road was damaged.

1:49 p.m., Valley Springs — A man was walking down the road at Garner Place and Baldwin Street carrying an ax. The caller was concerned about a dog in the area.

2:56 p.m., Valley Springs — A burglary was reported on Highway 12.

11:51 p.m., West Point — A naked man who looked unhappy was walking down Highway 26.

SUNDAY

1:27 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Hartvickson Lane.

10:50 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested on local warrants on Laurel Street.

12:33 p.m., Murphys — Someone was arrested on local warrants during a traffic stop at Jones and Scott streets.

1:58 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was possibly driving under the influence at Highway 49 and Deer Creek Drive.

3:11 p.m., Valley Springs — People were cited on suspicion of trespassing on Berkesey Lane.

11:55 a.m., San Andreas — Jeannie Rene Chipman Eastridge, 42, of the 4600 block of Railroad Flat Road, Mountain Ranch, was booked on suspicion of forgery and conspiracy to commit crime after an arrest at the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.

SATURDAY

7:17 p.m., Arnold — Ryan Whitney Bond, 31, of the 5000 block of Hillcrest Drive, Hathaway Pines, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs, bringing drugs into a jail and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a license suspended for a DUI after an arrest on the 3800 block of Jug Handle. 

SUNDAY

6:46 p.m., San Andreas — Wayne Eric Townsend, 50, of the 100 block of East St. Charles Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after an arrest on the 100 block of West Saint Charles Street.

SATURDAY

4:13 a.m., Valley Springs — Eric Scott Schroeder, 24, of the 2100 block of Evans Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 12, east of Evans Road. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public officer.
