Sheriff's report


6:17 a.m., Long Barn — A man said a gate at Lyons Dam Road and Highway 108 was vandalized.

6:18 a.m., Columbia area — A man on the 22100 block of Columbia Crest Drive said a herd of cows was in his driveway.

9:09 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said her vehicle, parked at the 10300 block of Preston Lane, was damaged overnight.

10:13 a.m., Don Pedro area — A woman said she heard her dog barking at something outside her house, on the 13000 block of Molina Street. When she looked outside there was a large sparkler burning on her porch.

6:07 p.m., Don Pedro Reservoir — A woman said her wallet was stolen while she was swimming at Fleming Meadows near Bonds Flat Road.

6:07 p.m., Pinecrest — Two 21-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after they were found passed out in front of their vehicle at the Pinecrest Post Office on Pinecrest Lake Road.

6:59 p.m., New Melones Reservoir — A caller said that a man and a woman were smoking marijuana under a red canopy at Tuttletown Recreation Area and a that small child was with them.

9:39 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A man on the 16400 block of Hillside Drive said his wallet, checkbook and personal items were stolen by a woman he knows while he was in the shower.

10:48 p.m., Columbia — A woman said a half dozen teens were in the playground at the 22400 block of Airport Road South making too much noise.

Felony bookings


12:35 a.m., Sonora — A 21-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at Sonora Regional Medical Center. According to a sheriff's report, a man was being treated in the hospital emergency room for a cut behind his ear that he said was caused by his wife throwing glass. A deputy went to the hospital and arrested the woman.

She remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

5:41 p.m., Jamestown — Harry Thomas Mitchell, 32, undisclosed address on Jacksonville Road, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging him with child endangerment, battery and failure to appear after an arrest on Ninth Street. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $20,000 bail.


1 a.m., New Melones Reservoir — Jeramie Shane Cocco, 22, 10200 block of Highway 49, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging him with vehicle theft and grand theft after an arrest at Manzanita Campground off Reynolds Ferry Road. He remained in jail this morning, held without bail.

9:56 p.m., Sonora — A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony spousal battery and making criminal threats after an arrest on Sylva Lane at Greenley Road. No details were available. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Randy Scott Burns, 22, 18000 block of Maple Avenue, Tuolumne, booked at 1:40 a.m. Saturday after arrest on North Tuolumne Road, Tuolumne.

Casey Alan Sullivan, 25, 2000 block of 41st Street, Astoria, N.Y., booked at 2:52 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Theall and Stewart streets, Sonora.

Clyde Eric McRoberts, 33, 1700 block of South Loscendia, Hollywood, booked at 1:10 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Jacksonville Road south of Old Jacksonville Road, Jamestown area.

Clayton Paul Carrillo, 25, 21400 block of American River Drive, Crystal Falls, booked at 2:20 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Washington Street at Gold Street, Sonora.

Brandon Gerald Jourdan, 22, 8400 block of Pine Street, Tuolumne, booked at 5 a.m., Sunday after arrest on Campo Seco Road at Lime Kiln Road, Sonora area. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for a previous drunken driving conviction.

Clinton Richard Stanley, 69, 21900 block of Black Lariat Loop, Long Barn, booked at 6:25 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Sanguinetti Road at Old Wards Ferry Road, Sonora.

Sonora police reports


12:09 a.m., disorderly conduct — A bouncer at a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street asked for an officer to help break up a fight.

1:31 a.m., public peace — A caller heard screaming and racial slurs coming from a house on South Stewart Street.

1:54 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer talked with a teenage girl walking east on Stockton Road pulling a suitcase.

2:12 a.m., public intoxication — A 27-year-old man dressed in black and walking in the middle of Greenley Road was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness.

11:10 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said two men in trench coats carrying rifles were walking through a flea market at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. An officer talked with the two men, who were filming a movie. The men were lectured and released.

7:27 p.m., public intoxication — A 41-year-old woman seen walking down Stockton Road singing to herself was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness.



12:18 a.m., Jamestown — A flaming bag of feces was found on a doorstep on the 10500 block of Wigwam Road. Damage was estimated at $20 to a rug. Maria Thompson of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Jamestown Fire Protection District and Sonora City Fire Department responded.


11:18 p.m., Twain Harte — A spot fire was reported on the 16900 block of Oak Tree Lane. Land owner is undetermined. No damage was reported. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Twain Harte Community Services District Fire Department responded.

6:49 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 1000 block of Shoreline Drive said someone stole her purse.

7:21 a.m., New Hogan — An angry man who was calling from the New Hogan Lake boat ramp said someone stole a tire off his boat and replaced it with one that had a bent rim.

12:31 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — An argument was reported on the 8200 block of Church Street.

1:58 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 2300 block of Rancho Paradiso said his landlord was trying to tow his girlfriend's car.

4:11 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 400 block of Toyon Court said someone stole money from her wallet.

4:37 p.m., Burson — A woman on the 3600 block of South Burson Road said her ex mother-in-law came to her house and threatened her.

7:02 p.m., Vallecito — There was a fight among juveniles on the 3600 block of Poag Road regarding a theft that took place last week.

7:28 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said she witnessed an assault on the 200 block of Highway 12.

7:57 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 4300 block of Hillvale Drive said there were three cows in her yard.

8:47 p.m., San Andreas — A man was yelling on the 100 block of North Main Street.

8:50 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 8500 block of McAtee Street said a man followed his wife home and was acting aggressive toward her. After speaking with a deputy, the caller said he would look into getting a restraining order.

Felony bookings


12:50 p.m., West Point — Terry Rae Scott, 38, 22200 block of Highway 26, West Point, booked on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a negligent manner. Scott fired several shots from inside his house, causing a glass door to shatter, a sheriff's report states. As of this morning, Scott remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.


11:28 a.m., Hathaway Pines — Richard Dale Philpott, 48, 4800 block of Darby Russell Road, Murphys, booked on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs. Philpott remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Albert Frank Tunsen Jr., 51, first block of Ernest Street, Murphys, booked at 12:15 a.m. after arrest on Big Trees Road in Murphys while riding a bicycle.

Jonathan Tift Briggs, 70, 1200 block of Pawney Drive, Arnold, booked at 2:05 p.m. Friday after arrest near Indian Rock Road in Arnold.

Daniel Joseph Decker, 49, 1500 block of Finnegan Lane, Angels Camp, booked at 7:37 p.m. Friday after arrest at Frog Jump Plaza at the northern intersection of highways 4 and 49.

Michael Ray Sisk, 22, 3200 block of Garrow Drive, Antioch, booked at 12:15 a.m. Sunday after arrest at the intersection of Russells Road and Luddy Lane in San Andreas.
