Sheriff's reports

FRIDAY

11:45 a.m., Aspen Meadows — A man visiting his cabin on Crabtree Road said someone had built a campfire on the porch steps of his cabin earlier in the year. The porch railings were charred.

12:17 p.m., Mono Vista — Tuolumne County Animal Control said a man on the 17300 block of Valley Oak Drive complained about a dog urinating on his property while being walked without a leash. Animal Control planned to respond and wanted documentation that the man said next time the dog urinated on his property he was going to "come out shooting."

3:51 p.m., Ponderosa Hills — A man on the 20200 block of Eastview Drive said he returned home to find someone had broken in and taken a lot of things, including several thousand dollars worth of jewelry.

4:32 p.m., Jamestown — A man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after a caller said he was "going crazy," yelling, screaming and tearing up plants and outdoor furniture on the 18100 block of Seco Street.

8:44 p.m., LaGrange area — A man said his 17-year-old son was assaulted earlier in the day on the 3000 block of Merced Falls Road.

8:51 p.m., Columbia area — Two teenagers were found and cited on suspicion of theft, possession of alcohol and possession of cigarettes after an employee on the 15700 block of Old Oak Ranch Road said he caught several people stealing gas from vehicles. Most of them fled on foot, but a vehicle was left behind.

8:55 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A car reported stolen from Norlin and Linoberg streets in Sonora was found on Parkridge Avenue. A suspect was contacted nearby and arrested.

9:22 p.m., East Sonora — A man reported to be staggering in and out of the road at Highway 108 and Hess Avenue turned out to be trying to get home after being released from the hospital. A deputy gave him a ride.

9:33 p.m., Twain Harte area — A caller's cat brought in a live bat on the 21900 block of Cedar Springs Road. The bat then bit the caller.

SATURDAY

1 a.m., Sonora area — A man's voice called from a residence on Nikki Court, saying someone was possibly diving drunk in downtown Sonora. The line disconnected, and on call-back, a woman said she didn't know who called. About five people were at the residence and none admitted making the call. Deputies said they needed to enter the house to make sure everyone was safe. People there tried to close the door, but the deputies went in and checked everyone there. One man became aggressive and was taken into custody on suspicion of assault.

2:02 a.m., Twain Harte — Several people were seen fighting outside a bar on Joaquin Gully Road.

2:07 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said he was just assaulted by his brother on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

2:27 a.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man took a wallet that didn't belong to him on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North and tried to withdraw money from the victim's account. During a search of the suspect's vehicle, a deputy found a baggy of suspected marijuana and a methamphetamine pipe and arrested the man.

7:50 a.m., Sonora area — A window was broken on a vehicle on Nashua Drive overnight.

1:33 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A woman on the 24000 block of Broken Bit Road came home and found the windshield and front windows of her vehicle smashed.

SUNDAY

4:43 a.m., Sonora area —A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs on the 13200 block of Mono Way and later in the county jail, officials found a baggy of methamphetamine in his rectum.

8:14 a.m., Tuolumne area — A wallet and cell phone were stolen from a vehicle on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

1:24 p.m., Tuolumne area — A bag of clothing was stolen from the back of a truck and a potted strawberry plant was also stolen on the 14900 block of Blue Bell West.

3:37 p.m., Jamestown area —People were found squatting in a camp trailer on Harney Road off Jacksonville Road.

5:28 p.m., Don Pedro — A man at the Fleming Meadows marina on Bonds Flat Road said someone stole the catalytic converter from his vehicle.

4:48 p.m., Jamestown — Roy Hartley Hurlbert, 54, of an unknown address on Augusta Lane in Jamestown, booked on suspicion of vandalism after an arrest on the 18100 block of Seco Street.

10:02 p.m., Sonora — Danielle Stephanie Holt, 25, of the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive, booked on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and receiving known stolen property after an arrest on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle.

10:40 p.m., Jamestown — Crystal Dawn Irene Wise, 23, a transient, booked on suspicion of probation violation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road.

10:40 p.m., Jamestown — Stephen Ernest Proper, 23, of the 22200 block of Yerba Santa Road in Sonora, booked on suspicion of probation violation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road.

11:39 p.m. Jamestown area — John Carl Clark, 28, of an unknown block on Estralita Way, booked on suspicion of drug possession, parole violation and misdemeanor under the influence of drugs after an arrest on Chicken Ranch Road at Table Mountain Road.

11:55 p.m., Jamestown — Tessa Amber Lay, 24, of the 20700 block of Tamalin Lane in Mi Wuk, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor under the influence of drugs after an arrest on Chicken Ranch Road at Table Mountain Road.

10:16 p.m., Sonora — Derrick William Smith, 27, of the 12800 block of Chukar Circle, booked on suspicion of drug possession, misdemeanor under the influence of drugs and misdemeanor drunk driving after an arrest on Greenley Road at Delnero Drive.

SUNDAY

5:24 a.m., Sonora — Mark Dennis Daniels, 48, of the 22000 block of Santa Fe Road in Escalon, booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs, bringing drugs into jail and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at Hammond Ford.

5:32 p.m., Jamestown area — Rachel Leann Bonfadini, 25, a Sonora transient, booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and possession of drugs without a prescription after an arrest on Harney Road.

8:59 p.m., Sonora — Danny Lee Burton, 21, of the 21300 block of Phoenix Lake Road, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of more than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest on South Washington Street near Highway 108.

1:42 a.m., Jamestown — Robert James Filiatrault, 30, of the 4000 block of San Leandro Boulevard in Oakland, arrested on Jacksonville Road east of Seco Road.

8:58 p.m., Don Pedro — Jeane Ileen Erpenbach, 51, of the 3700 block of Highway 132 in Coulterville, arrested on Highway 132 at the Don Pedro Market. She was also arrested on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for drunk driving.

10:20 p.m., Tuolumne — Edward Charles Hard, 21, of the 13700 block of Big Hill Road, arrested on Apple Colony Road south of Elm Street.

11:52 p.m., Sonora — Jamison Brittany Cripps, 22, of the 24300 block of Canyon View, arrested on Old Wards Ferry Road at Sanguinetti Road.

SATURDAY

4:10 a.m., Twain Harte — Sean Michael Burdan, 35, of the 20100 block of South Fork Road, arrested on Little Fuller Road at Fuller Road. He was also arrested on a warrant.

8:50 p.m., Twain Harte — Reb Sullivan Benner, 34, of the 15200 block of Ridgewood Drive, arrested on Little Fuller Road at South Fork Road.

Fire calls

FRIDAY

4:34 p.m., Copperopolis — A fire burned one-eighth of an acre on the 500 block of Main Street across from 1400 Reeds Turnpike. Cal Fire units from Copperopolis and Standard responded along with units from Copperopolis Fire.

9:46 p.m., Valley Springs — Ash escaped from a barbecue and started a small spot fire on the 100 block of Sequia Street. A Cal Fire engine from San Andreas responded.

SUNDAY

2:17 p.m., West Point — Crews extinguished a small spot fire on the Wilson Reservoir. The cause is unknown. Cal Fire units from Columbia Air Attack Base, West Point and Hermit Springs responded.

2:42 a.m., Groveland — An electrical problem caused a fire in a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120, causing about $18,000 damage. Cal Fire units from Groveland along with Groveland Fire responded.

1:02 p.m., Standard — A catalytic converter from a vehicle sparked a quarter acre grass fire on the 19600 block of Highway 108. Cal Fire units from Columbia, Groveland, Standard and Twain Harte responded along with Tuolumne County Fire from Mono Village and Mono Vista/Soulsbyville.

Sonora police reports

FRIDAY

8:36 a.m., forgery — A Fairview Lane caller said someone stole one check, made copies and altered the copies, then sent them out all over the state, written for large amounts of money.

8:38 p.m., vehicle theft — A van was stolen from North Norlin and Linoberg streets. A witness said a woman tried to urinate on the back porch of a residence, then noticed the van, got in and left, heading south on Linoberg. The van was later located and recovered by the Tuolumne County Sheriff's office, and an arrest was made.

10:19 p.m., theft — A bicycle was reported stolen from a Columbia Way residence.

SATURDAY

2:37 p.m., vandalism — A rock was thrown through a vehicle window on East Jackson Street.

11:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances — The air was let out of three tires on a vehicle on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

MONDAY

1:55 a.m., public intoxication —A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 400 block of Stockton Street.

11:13 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A theft occurred at a house on Persall Road.

5:25 p.m., Arnold — Identity theft occurred on Ottawa Drive.

5:47 p.m., Copperopolis — Gas was stolen on Tomahawk Trail.

SUNDAY

4:15 p.m., Valley Springs — Juveniles allegedly tried to shoot a turkey with a paintball gun on the 2100 block of Blake Lane.

9:59 p.m., Paloma — A caller said "red and white" cows were in the road at Highway 26 and Paloma Road.

MONDAY

12:05 a.m., Murphys — Vandalism was attempted on the 800 block of North Algiers Street.

11:26 a.m., Copperopolis — Alonzo Edward Martinez, 33, of the first block of Ninth Street in Stockton, arrested at Highway 4 and Little John Road.

SATURDAY

12:37 a.m., Arnold — Kevin Gerald Agdanowski, 40, of the 3700 block of G Street in Antioch, arrested at Beatrice Drive and Highway 4. Agdanowski was also cited for evading a peace officer.

8:15 a.m., Angels Camp — Enrique Meza, 32, of an unknown address on Main Street in Angels Camp, arrested on the 800 block of South Main Street. Meza was also cited for driving without a license.

SUNDAY

10:35 a.m., Copperopolis — Dylan Marshall Gallagher, 22, of the 2000 block of Westview Drive in Tuolumne, arrested on the 500 block of Main Street. Gallagher was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

5:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Nathan Odith Varner, 45, of the 17600 block of Rolling Hills Boulevard in Jamestown, arrested on Highway 49.

1:38 p.m., extra patrol — A caller said the driver of an orange motorcycle cruising around town did not have valid insurance.
