Sheriff's report

TUESDAY

6:45 a.m., Pinecrest — A woman said she arrived at Meadow View Campground to meet friends. Their vehicle was gone but all their belongings were there and she thought something was wrong.

8:13 a.m., Willow Springs — Lights and a basketball hoop were broken at Willow Springs Homeowners Association on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive.

1:36 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 12800 block of Mono Way said she found a 2-liter soda bottle filled with gas, a bag containing matches, newspaper articles and a business card near her house.

1:53 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a scruffy-looking man and a woman who appeared to be drunk and a dog were causing a disturbance near Rocca Park.

4:12 p.m., Groveland — A woman said a storage unit at Stony Mill Storage Yard on the 13300 block of Baraca Way was broken into.

5:45 p.m., Groveland — A caller said a woman was blocking gasoline pumps after being denied service. The woman said she was denied service because of her sexual orientation.

5:57 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10700 block of Seventh Street said a man was "flipping out" and probably under the influence of drugs.

7:18 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said pay tubes at Meadow View Campground near Pinecrest Lake were broken and money was stolen.

YESTERDAY

1:25 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man wearing shorts and a golf hat was walking west on Jamestown Road carrying what looked like a handgun.

4:36 a.m., Pinecrest — A Sonora Community Hospital employee said a teenager assaulted with a rock at Pinecrest Campground was in the hospital for treatment.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

3:37 p.m., Sonora — Angela Jean Mary Moore, 37, 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest on the 100 block of North Norlin Street, Sonora. No details were available. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

1:35 a.m., Columbia — Craig James Canepa, 33, 700 block of Purdy Road, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor being under the influence of and driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on South Airport Road, Columbia.

No details were available. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Jeffrey Dean Hinman, 42, 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive, Sonora, booked at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after an arrest at Washington and Church streets, Sonora. He was also booked for driving with a license that had been suspended because of a previous drunken driving conviction.

TUESDAY

10:11 a.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in a traffic accident at School and Snell streets.

10:25 a.m., vandalism — A car parked at the Wal-Mart parking lot was scratched.

10:53 a.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a gray pickup was parked just 3 feet from railroad tracks on South Washington Street. An officer issued a citation.

1:01 p.m., lost property — A man said he placed a green duffel bag down by a business on North Washington Street and Shaws Flat Road. When he came back, the bag was gone.

1:34 p.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in a traffic collision on South Washington Street near Restano Way.

2:27 p.m., found property — Money and blankets found near the Tuolumne County Library were turned over to the police department.

4:32 p.m., public fight — A caller said a man and a woman were pushing each other around on Stockton Road.

7:09 p.m., burglary — A house on the 200 block of South Sonora Avenue was burglarized.

10:04 p.m., threats — A woman on the 400 block of South Stewart Street said another woman came into the caller's driveway and made threats.

11:26 p.m., liquor violations — A 20-year-old man was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol on Bonanza Street.

YESTERDAY

1:10 a.m., assault — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after a caller said people were fighting on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

Sheriff's reports

TUESDAY

7:35 a.m., Murphys — A caller said a newspaper stand on the 50 block of Highway 4 was broken into.

7:37 a.m., West Point — A vehicle parked on the 300 block of Stanley Road was burglarized.

8:23 a.m., Valley Springs — Tools were stolen from a construction site on the 7900 block of Gabor Street.

6:30 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said two men were fighting on the 200 block of Cedar Street, but when a deputy arrived, both men denied fighting.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Erika Danielle Monk, 22, 900 block of Garcia Drive, Woodland, booked at 2:20 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 4, west of Copperopolis.

Fire

TUESDAY

5:45 p.m., San Andreas area — A small spot fire was reported on the 1000 block of Calaveritas Road. No dollar damage was reported. The fire was caused by equipment use. Richard L. Prather of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and San Andreas Fire Protection District responded.
