Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

8:19 a.m., Wards Ferry area — A man on the 18000 block of Old Wards Ferry Road said overnight someone stole 150 pounds of apricots valued at $300 off his tree.

8:50 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man was taking parts of a bicycle in a field near Seco Street and Preston Lane.

10:17 a.m., Rancho Poquitos — A man on the 19600 block of Hacienda Heights said someone tried to break into his house overnight through a garage door.

10:46 a.m., Groveland — A man on the 21500 block of Sprague Road said a generator valued at $350 was stolen sometime in the past week.

11:15 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said a 58-year-old woman keeps coming into her uncle's house on Blue Oak Court without knocking or permission. The caller said the woman just came into the house and used the bathroom.

11:57 a.m., Soulsbyville — A caller said a woman in a white pickup truck has set up camp behind Soulsbyville United Methodist Church on Community Drive.

12:53 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 11900 block of Highway 49 found a VCR wrapped in a blanket on her property.

1:07 p.m., East Sonora — A bank found a counterfeit $20 bill in a deposit from a business in Tuolumne.

1:22 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A man said a couple claiming connections to the FBI and CIA took pictures of the man and threatened him when they were walking their dog by Cedar Ridge Lake.

1:40 p.m., Don Pedro Reservoir — A man said his house boat docked at Fleming Meadows Marina was broken into and a radio, binoculars, depth finder, CDs and a CD player and a case of beer were stolen.

1:44 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a vacant apartment on the 10300 block of Preston Lane was broken into and spraypainted.

3:26 p.m., Twain Harte area — A man on the 22000 block of Harmony Lane said his dogs ran off someone who tried to break into his house.

5:07 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said eight men and two women with a young baby were at River Ranch on Buchanan Road drinking, smoking marijuana and using profanity.

5:15 p.m., Jamestown area — A woman saw a small tan dog get hit by a car on Highway 108 near Golf Links Road. The male dog, who was not injured, was picked up by an animal control officer and taken to the animal shelter where it is awaiting a return to its owner or adoption.

5:47 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18100 block of Eighth Avenue said her daughter was assaulted by two other girls.

6:09 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her son's bicycle was stolen sometime in the past two days from the 20100 block of Jamestown Road.

7:09 p.m., Tuolumne — A man who exposed himself to a woman while urinating in a parking lot on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

8:21 p.m., Lyons Reservoir — A man said a white Jeep was parked by the side of 4N02 Forest Service Road with a large machete in the front seat and no one around.

8:58 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said 10 men were at the Oak Hills Apartments playground on the 10200 block of Preston Lane drinking, smoking and throwing the bottles on the ground.

9:43 p.m., Groveland — A caller said the house on the 19200 block of Ferretti Road was broken into, a video game player and games were stolen and the small dog that lives at the house kicked.

10:27 p.m., Twain Harte — A 7-Eleven clerk found a small plastic bag with a white powdery substance inside at the store on Joaquin Gully Road.

YESTERDAY

12:26 a.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man was sitting in front of a bench at the Tuolumne Clinic on Tuolumne Road holding his hand, which was bleeding.

Felony bookings (UPDATED)

MONDAY

1 p.m., Sonora — Raymond Chad Watkins, 27, 5200 block of Consumes Mine Road, Somerset, El Dorado County, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing marijuana for sale, violating probation and failure to appear after being brought to the county jail from the Calaveras County Jail. He remained held this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

7:24 p.m., Sonora — Frederick Floyd White, 38, 18800 block of Wards Ferry Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, bringing drugs into jail and misdemeanor public drunkenness after an arrest on the 300 block of North Washington Street, Sonora. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

9:50 p.m., Jamestown — Nicholas Grayson Pina, 21, 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a deadly weapon, failure to appear and violation of probation after an arrest on Preston Lane, Jamestown. He remained held this morning without bail.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

7:01 a.m., burglary — A tool shed at Bob Silva's Dairy on Southgate Drive was broken into and various tools were stolen.

8:21 a.m., animal complaints — A caller on the 200 block of North Washington Street said a neighbor's dog broke through a fence and was tangled in its chain.

1:08 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on South Washington Street.

5:15 p.m., theft — A stereo was stolen from a car parked in front of a house on the 100 block of East Hillcrest Street.

Fire

YESTERDAY

6:50 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — An illegal debris burn was reported about a half mile past Muheli Road, and firefighters found a discarded mattress and other rubbish in flames. The landowner is unidentified. No damage was reported. Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine Fire Protection District, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

MONDAY

11:39 a.m., Angels Camp — Purses were stolen from the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.

1:40 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A stolen check was forged and cashed on the 8000 block of Washington Street.

2:17 p.m., Camp Connell — Two juveniles reportedly ran away from a wilderness program on the 5500 block of Meko Drive.

2:32 p.m., Burson — A restraining order was violated on the 12300 block of Cheyenne Drive.

4:14 p.m., Valley Springs — An ongoing dispute was reported between neighbors on the 7900 block of Cabernet Street.

4:48 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 1600 block of Second Street reported hearing an argument coming from a supposedly vacant house.

5:20 p.m., West Point — A woman on the 300 block of Pinecone Lane said juveniles were trespassing on her property and not leaving when asked to do so.

7:14 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 2300 block of Rancho Paradiso said he was concerned about partying, fighting and possible drug use going on at another house.

8:35 p.m., Vallecito — An argument regarding living conditions was reported on the 4500 block of Redhill Road.

8:46 p.m., Arnold — Juveniles were riding down the 1100 block of Cedar Lane in a go-cart.

9:05 p.m., West Point — Domestic abuse was reported on the first block of Winton Road.

10:27 p.m., Copperopolis — A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Rock Creek Court. A deputy contacted a woman inside the vehicle who said she was resting before driving home from the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival.

10:31 p.m., Valley Springs — An ongoing dispute was reported between neighbors on the 7900 block of Cabernet Street.

11:21 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 2600 block of Country Club Drive said neighbors were being loud and possibly fighting.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Claude Swanson Allen, Jr., 65, 26000 block of Bollea Road, Wallace, booked at 11 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 12 in Wallace.

Fire

YESTERDAY

4:06 a.m., New Melones area — A vehicle fire was reported at Iron Horse campground. Damage was estimated at $4,000 to a 1984 Chevrolet Camero. Daniel Corchran of Angels Camp owns the vehicle. Altaville-Melones Fire Protection District, Angels Camp Fire Protection District and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.
