Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

9 a.m., Standard area — A man said people without helmets are riding mini-motorcycles and quad-runners on Blue Bell West and he is concerned for their safety.

10:26 a.m., Strawberry — A man said a cabin on Leland Creek Road was broken into.

11:46 a.m., Columbia area — A caller said six children under the age of 12 were at a campsite on Italian Bar Road swimming in deep water in a creek.

12:23 p.m., Soulsbyville — A 55-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from Santa Clara County after a traffic stop and arrest on Soulsbyville Road.

12:51 p.m., Jamestown — A cab driver said a stop sign was down on Chicken Ranch Road at Highway 108. Caltrans was notified to fix the sign.

1:28 p.m., Columbia — A caller said a reckless driver and two passengers in a red pickup truck sped out of an apartment complex on Parrotts Ferry Road and headed south. An officer caught up with the driver in Sonora and lectured the driver.

1:54 p.m., Long Barn — A man said his house on the 26100 block of Slide Inn Street was broken into through a window and liquor was stolen.

1:59 p.m., Columbia — A caller reported four men were drunk and causing a disturbance at the Father's Day Fly-In at the Columbia Airport.

2:47 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said numerous children were riding mini-motorcycles, bikes and a go-cart on Chestnut Avenue. A deputy spoke with all but one child and told them to stay out of the road.

4:26 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman had been gambling at Chicken Ranch Bingo since 11 a.m. and left her baby in her car. The caller said the woman would periodically come out to the car to nurse her baby and then return to gamble. A deputy searched the parking lot but was unable to find the car, the woman or the baby.

4:41 p.m., Strawberry — Two cabins on Leland Creek Road were broken into.

5:12 p.m., Pinecrest — A woman said a house on the 200 block of Dodge Ridge Road was broken into and tools, a toolbox, stereo speakers and a rug were stolen.

7:53 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a pit bull-mix dog was running loose in Eproson Park on Meadow Lane and went after a woman.

8:33 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said a neighbor confronted her son, demanded money and, when the son said he didn't have it, slapped the son.

10:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said his vehicle parked on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive was broken into and stereo speakers were stolen.

Felony bookings

SATURDAY

2:45 a.m., Standard area — Raylene Joanete Carter, 19, no address, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale after an arrest on Serrano Road. No details were available. She remained held this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

3:56 a.m., Sonora — Randy Taylor Henington, 49, and Cheryl Ellen Kersey, 42, both of the 200 block of Snell Street, Sonora. Henington was booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property and a felony parole hold. Kersey was booked on suspicion of possessing metal knuckles. Both were arrested on the 400 block of Stockton Road.

According to a Sonora police report, an officer saw a suspicious-looking Ford Bronco parked on the 400 block of Stockton Road when the officer was on his way to another call. When he came back he asked a dispatcher to check the license plate number. The license plate number belonged to a Mercury car.

Officer Philip Weber spoke to the two occupants, Henington and Kersey, questioned and searched them, then arrested them. They remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail each.

SUNDAY

1:11 a.m., Sonora — Garrett Brandon Heath, 22, 300 block of Yvonne Court, Turlock, booked on suspicion of possessing a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon after a traffic stop and arrest on Restano Way at South Washington Street.

Two other men were arrested on misdemeanor warrants. Heath was released Sunday after posting $10,000 bail.

10:11 a.m., Sonora — Leslie Edward Harvey, 62, 2200 block of Italian Bar Road, Columbia, booked on Sacramento County warrants charging him with threatening and bribing a witness, battery, assault with intent to commit mayhem, receiving stolen property and misdemeanor battery after an arrest on the 1100 block of Mono Way, Sonora.

An officer who was aware of the warrant saw Harvey and his car parked in Sonora Plaza parking lot and arrested him. He was transferred to the Sacramento County Jail yesterday.

2:41 p.m., Sonora — Jason Bart Dolman, 26, 19200 block of Beauchamp Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest on the 1300 block of Sanguinetti Road, Sonora. No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Geoffrey Burgess, 32, 100 block of Melrose Avenue, San Francisco, booked at 3:05 a.m. Friday after arrest on Highway 108 at South Washington Street, Sonora.

Christopher Leef Pelican, 20, undisclosed address on Phoenix Lake Road, Sonora area booked at 1:55 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Cabezut Road west of Covey Circle, Sonora.

Angelica Grace Flippen, 20, 22700 block of Confidence Road, Twain Harte, booked at 3:02 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Lyons Street at Shepherd Street, Sonora.

SUNDAY

1:28 a.m., arrest — A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after a traffic stop and arrest on East Lyons Street at South Shepherd Street.

10:38 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on South Shepherd Street said she got up to find her husband, who doesn't drive anymore, and the car were gone. The man returned home safely.

11:59 a.m., liquor violations — A caller said two teenage girls were in front of a grocery store on Stockton Road asking adults to buy them alcohol. An officer cited the girls and released them to their parents.

2:32 p.m., lost property — A man lost his wallet, which contained cash, drivers license and credit cards, at a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:05 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said an elderly man who looked disoriented was standing in the middle of Mono Way at Greenley Road.

9:44 p.m., public fight — A caller said there was a fight between several people in the parking lot at Sonora Crossroads shopping center. An officer went there and one man was injured but refused medical treatment.

11:47 p.m., warrant arrest — A 19-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant when he was stopped on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

SUNDAY

10:03 a.m., Vallecito — A worker and dump patron were arguing at a dump station on the 5100 Red Hill Road.

12:28 p.m., Arnold — Adults were arguing on the first block of Alder Street.

2:59 p.m., San Andreas — A hysterical female was reported at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital emergency room. A deputy arrived and assisted hospital staff.

4:39 p.m., Vallecito — A caller said people were dumping garbage on the 4600 block of Camp Nine Road.

5:33 p.m., Valley Springs — Electrical items were stolen from a utility trailer behind Valley Springs Elementary School on the 200 block of Pine Street.

7:31 p.m., Murphys — A man was reportedly smoking marijuana and offering it to people outside of a bar on the first block of Big Trees Road.

Felony bookings

YESTERDAY

7:10 p.m., San Andreas — Timothy Allen Wandt, 43, 7000 block of Gabor Street, Valley Springs, booked on a felony battery charge and suspicion of making criminal threats. As of this morning, Wandt remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Clinton Dale Broin, 44, of Stallion Road, Circle XX, booked at 10:55 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 12 in Wallace.
