Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:09 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10100 block of Fallen Leaf Drive said a stereo faceplate was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

7:55 a.m., Twain Harte — A Black Oak School maintenance worker said a chain and post securing a driveway were vandalized.

8:37 a.m., Standard — A man said his neighbor is throwing rocks over a fence at Tuolumne Veterinary Hospital on the 15000 block of Tuolumne Road.

10:40 a.m., Chinese Camp — A caller on the 9000 block of Washington Street said dogs were barking at someone with a loud motorcycle.

12:11 p.m., Standard area — Outside lights were on at The Old Dog House on the 14800 block of Mono Way and the business was hit with paintballs overnight.

12:27 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said a sleeping bag was stolen from a storage unit.

1:02 p.m., Groveland — A woman told not to come into Yosemite Lakes Country Store on the 31100 block of Hardin Flat Road by the store's manager did so again. A deputy suggested the manager obtain a restraining order against the woman.

2:27 p.m., East Sonora — A woman found a purse behind a fast food restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way and turned it over to the sheriff's department.

3:17 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said three dolls valued at $300 were stolen from Sue's Dolls on the 10200 block of Donovan Street.

3:51 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said two men were sitting on church stairs on Donovan Street, "smoking dope." The men were described as wearing black shirts and had earrings and tattoos.

4:12 p.m., La Grange area — A counselor at Blue Oaks Campground said a 17-year-old camper was out of control and threw a steak knife at a group of kids.

4:58 p.m., Pinecrest — A Forest Service employee said teens had erected a bike ramp on the concrete boat ramp at Pinecrest Marina.

6:12 p.m., Jamestown — A Whistle Stop employee said a man was outside arguing with the manager.

7:21 p.m., Sonora — A sheriff's sergeant found a white substance in a Tuolumne County Jail cell that turned out to be a controlled substance.

8:50 p.m., Columbia — A woman said a big rig truck was parked at a fast food restaurant on Parrotts Ferry Road with the motor running for more than two hours, and no one was inside.

10:43 p.m., Jamestown — A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after a caller said the man was at a carwash on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

3:14 p.m., Columbia — Steven Matthew Berrigan, 31, 14400 block of Tuolumne Road, Sonora, booked on a state parole hold after an arrest on 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, Columbia. He was held without bail this morning.

YESTERDAY

2:45 a.m., Jamestown — Valentin Noyola Dominquez, 29, 2800 block of Yosemite Blvd., Modesto, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Highway 108 at Main Street.

A sheriff's report said a deputy stopped Dominquez, who was driving a car with a faulty headlight. Dominquez did not have a driver's license and the car was not registered to him, so the deputy searched Dominquez and the car. Inside the car, a deputy found a small bindle holding a small amount of white powder that later was found to be cocaine, the report said. The deputy also found a "toot" straw in Dominquez's wallet.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Michael Shannon O'Hare, 25, 100 block of Shepherd Street, Sonora, booked at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after arrest on Greenley Road at Cabezut Road, Sonora.

Stephanie Marie Brown, 20, 16100 block of Big Hill Road, Sonora, booked at 4:13 a.m. Wednesday after arrest on South Washington Street and Stockton Road, Sonora.

Daniel Lee Richison, 21, 13300 block of Adalina Lane, Sonora, booked at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, after arrest at South Washington and Linoberg streets, Sonora.

WEDNESDAY

9:47 a.m., agency assist — A caller said a tree fell into a power line on Fairview Lane.

4:40 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on West Bradford Avenue.

5:02 p.m., assault — A caller on the 200 block of Greenley Road said he was assaulted by an ex-girlfriend.

5:35 p.m., lost property — A 32-inch chain saw was reported stolen from an undisclosed address in Sonora.

6:32 p.m., public intoxication — A allegedly drunken man in front of a store in Downtown Plaza was given a verbal warning about drinking in public.

7:26 p.m., vandalism — Windows on a car parked on Stockton Road were busted out.

11:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man who might be armed has been living in his vehicle for the last month at Sonora Plaza parking lot.

10:36 a.m., Burson — A deputy evicted campers from South Shore Camanche campground at a ranger's request.

11:15 a.m., Copperopolis — A dog was locked inside a pickup parked on the 2200 block of Choctaw.

12:14 p.m., Murphys — A caller said a man was a trying to steal landscape rock on the 2000 block of Ponderosa Way, but changed his mind when the caller spotted him.

1:47 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 12100 block of Wade Lane said a neighbor was cutting down trees on the caller's property.

2:49 p.m., Camanche — A woman said three men who fought with her and bit her boyfriend Tuesday night at Oak Campground came back looking for a lost necklace.

3:55 p.m., West Point — A caller on the 1000 block of Skull Springs Road said a suspicious-looking vehicle was parked in the area for more than two hours.

6:16 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller said teens were jumping off O'Byrnes Ferry Bridge over Tulloch Reservoir.

9:40 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A caller said neighbors on the 8000 block of Main Street were fighting. When a deputy arrived, the parties involved agreed to quiet down.

10:13 p.m., Angels Camp — A streaker attempted to disrupt a band practice at Bret Harte High School.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

William Mason Heinle, 19, 4500 block of French Gulch Road, Angels Camp booked at 1:05 a.m. Thursday after arrest on 1000 block of Highway 4, Arnold.

Fire

WEDNESDAY

1:35 a.m., Copperopolis area — A vehicle fire was reported on Copperopolis Road between Waverly Road and Escalon Bellota. Damage was estimated at $15,000 to a Volkswagen Jetta and 3 acres of grass. Vehicle owner is undetermined. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Copperopolis Fire Protection District responded.
