The Sonora Police Department reported the following:



11:30 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone overheard a man in a parking lot on the 700 block of Mono Way say he urinated on a vehicle. Police were unable to locate him.

1:52 p.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run was reported on the 700 block of Mono Way.

3:59 p.m., theft — Medication was stolen from a house on South Barretta Street.

6:39 p.m., traffic violations — Teenagers were throwing rocks at vehicles on North Stewart Street and damaged a parked vehicle. Police left a note on the vehicle and told other agencies to be on the lookout for the vandals.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:06 a.m., East Sonora — A vehicle accident was reported at Highway 108 at Hess Avenue.

12:03 p.m., Jamestown — A dog was attacked by a pit bull on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road and had to be euthanized.

12:13 p.m., Columbia — A 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Sonora Regional Medical Center after he was transported by ambulance from a business on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

12:31 p.m., East Sonora — A mailbox on the 14500 block of Peaceful Valley Road was destroyed.

6:52 p.m., Columbia — Car keys and a key to a medication box were stolen from a home on the 22400 block of South Airport Road.

Felony bookings


12:16 a.m., Groveland — Anthony Raymond Harbut, 24, of the 12700 block of Hetch Hetchy Court, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation after an arrest at his home.

10:35 a.m., Sonora area — Rachel Ann Tipon, 32, of the 16600 block of Sallander Drive, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury after an arrest on School Street.

4:22 p.m., Sonora — Brad Lee Berryman, 45, of the 1000 block of Shoreline Drive, Copperopolis, was booked on suspicion of burglary and obtaining drugs by fraud after an arrest on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of false identification to a peace officer.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


1:40 p.m., Columbia — Patty Lee Hullinger, 60, of the 48700 block of Sourdough Road, Ehrenberg, Ariz., was booked after an arrest on Parrotts Ferry Road at Sawmill Flat Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:51 a.m., Arnold — A canoe on Chamonix Drive was spray painted.

9:52 a.m., Rail Road Flat — A burglary was reported on South Rail Road Flat Road.

11:14 a.m., Murphys — Vandalism was reported on East West Drive.

5:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Poaching was reported on South Petersburg Road.

Felony bookings


2:52 p.m., Valley Springs — Wyitt Harrison Carroll, 34, of the 300 block of Russell Road, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary after an arrest on the 500 block of Highway 12. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:52 p.m., Valley Springs — Shelly Marie Strickland, 29, of the 12800 block of El Dorado Way, Jackson, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary after an arrest at Pine Street and Lime Creek Road. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of a hypodermic needle.
