Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:49 a.m., Groveland — A postal employee said recyclable materials were dumped at the post office on Back Street overnight.

8:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said two men in a black pickup left an old rocking chair on the porch of a house on the 18000 block of Tatu Avenue on Monday. The woman asked the owner about the chair and he didn't know anything about it. Wednesday morning, the chair was gone.

9:10 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10100 block of Shady Dawn Lane said her cat was shot through the head.

9:14 a.m., Groveland — A Groveland Community Service District employee said the amphitheater at Wayside Park was vandalized.

10:16 a.m., Tuolumne area — A man said he lost a welder's mask off the back of his work truck between Sonora and Tuolumne.

12:42 p.m., Tuttletown — A man said four wheels were stolen off his boat trailer while it was parked at the Tuttletown Boat Launch Ramp

1:54 p.m., Standard area — A woman on the 17000 block of Blue Bell East said her sister just hit her, then threw a pair of scissors at her as she left the house.

2:17 p.m., Columbia — A Columbia College security officer detained a man on suspicion of being drunk in public after finding the man on a rock bridge near the bookstore. A deputy took the man to the county jail.

3:57 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 17000 block of Margaret Drive said a gun was stolen from his house in the last month.

5:52 p.m., Tuolumne area — A man said he was chased out of The Junction parking lot by a man who tried to ram into the caller.

5:58 p.m., Quail Hollow area — A caller found a purse between Quail Hollow Apartments and Sylva Lane and turned it over to the sheriff's department.

6:43 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said his 14-foot aluminum boat was moved to a different boat slip on Pinecrest Lake between Monday and Wednesday.

6:58 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said five men with their shirts off were beating up another man in the Jamestown Apartments parking lot on the 17900 block of Seco Street.

7:02 p.m., Pinecrest — A "be-on-the-lookout" order was issued for the driver of a maroon SUV who allegedly ran over a child on Highway 108. A child was taken to the hospital.

8:27 p.m., Columbia — A woman was treated at Tuolumne General Hospital for numerous cuts to her face, head, shoulder and feet as well as a broken nose she said she suffered at the hands of a man and a woman staying at her house on Gunsight Road.

10:34 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man on the 24000 block of Prospector Drive said two men came onto his property and made threats.

THURSDAY

1:28 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18500 block of Fir Avenue said she heard someone outside her home and discovered a window screen had been partially removed.

3 a.m., Curtis Creek Ranch area — A woman on the 16000 block of Tuolumne Road said she heard men's voices coming from a pasture and suspected the men might be trying to break into cars nearby.

10:16 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 16300 block of Acorn Drive said someone threw a small statue at his car.

10:53 a.m., Jamestown — A caller reported a fight between two men on the 10300 block of Preston Lane.

3:31 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road said tools had been stolen from a shed. Several items had also been taken from a laundry room at the residence.

8:16 p.m., Groveland — A caller said a pair of men took two cases of beer from a store on the 18900 block of Main Street. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Highway 120.

11:48 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man was passed out in a silver Mazda parked on the 18300 block of Highway 108.

FRIDAY

8:42 a.m., Lake Don Pedro — A caller on Bonds Flat Road said a 2-year-old girl fell onto a barbecue and had burns on the right side of her face.

12:27 p.m., Lake Don Pedro — A boat accident near the marina left one person with a shoulder injury.

12:57 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Willow Street said she was being harassed by three boys, including one who exposed himself to her. The woman said she had asked them to leave, but they refused.

2:52 p.m., Lake Don Pedro — A caller on Bonds Flat Road said a boat with three adults and two kids on board had broken down in the Big Creek arm area.

5:28 p.m., Groveland — A man on Elder Lane at Beck Road said someone had come on his property and started a fire, littered and pulled up some survey stakes.

5:39 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 7500 block of Highway 120 said someone had slashed her vehicle's tires and knocked out its windows.

10:01 p.m., La Grange — A woman on the 14600 block of Alameda Court said she suspected someone was on her back deck. She and her son heard someone move a patio chair, she said.

11:15 p.m., Sonora — A woman on the 19600 block of Serrano Road reported fireworks were going off nearby.

SATURDAY

12:30 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said 15 juveniles had "invaded" a houseboat at the Moccasin Point Marina and were tearing it apart.

12:39 a.m., Sonora area — A man on Longeway Road said people were setting off bottle rockets. The fireworks were still going off when authorities arrived and a small fire was burning. It was put out by the Tuolumne County Fire Department.

2:17 a.m., Sugar Pine — A woman on Pine Lake Drive at Yellow Pine Road said several people broke into her unlocked automobile. They left when she yelled at them, she said.

3:45 p.m., Pine Mountain Lake — A caller said several people on the Lake Lodge Dock had been drinking and were causing a disturbance.

4:12 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Oak Knoll Road said two men and a girl kicked in a car door and took some items inside.

5:52 p.m., Groveland — A man on Ferretti Road said a woman flipped out of her kayak on the Tuolumne River and hit her head. She had injuries to her face and a possible concussion, he said.

6:39 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Tuolumne Road said someone had set fire to his mailbox. There were only advertisements inside and the box was not destroyed, he said.

9:39 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on Hiema Court said her neighbors were setting off fireworks.

11:51 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 13700 block of Mono Way said people in a Chevy pickup were throwing fireworks out of the vehicle.

SUNDAY

7:40 a.m., Sonora — A woman on the 20800 block of Saratoga Road reported a tractor theft.

8:11 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on Griffith Lane said people were sleeping in a sedan parked on the street.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

2:09 p.m., Sonora — Juan Andres Rosas, 25, and Edy Mendez-Sanchez, 24, both of an undisclosed address in Sonora, booked on a United States Immigration and Naturalization Service hold after an arrest at Barretta Street and Cemetery Lane. Mendez-Sanchez was also booked on suspicion of being an unlicensed driver. INS agents picked the men up and took them to a federal detention center.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Tana Lavern Harrison-Cortez, 45, 10600 block of Campo Seco Road, Jamestown, booked at 9 a.m. Wednesday after arrest on Stockton Road, Sonora.

Sonora police reports

WEDNESDAY

2:37 a.m., vandalism — A windshield was broken out of a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Greenley Road.

9:47 a.m., theft — A mountain bike was stolen from a house on the 200 block of Barretta Street.

12:36 p.m., theft — A wallet and keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 300 block of Stockton Road while the owner was inside a store.

1:45 p.m., warrant arrest — A 33-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants for his arrest from both Tuolumne County and Oakdale Municipal Court.

2:26 p.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in an accident on the 40 block of North Stewart Street.

3:41 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller on South Washington Street said the back tire of a logging truck was flat and coming off its rim.

4:13 p.m., traffic accidents — A woman was "hysterical" and a man "confrontational" after an accident on the 700 block of Mono Way, according to a police report. Neither party was injured.

5:46 p.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in a traffic accident on Sanguinetti Road, but vehicle parts were in the roadway.

THURSDAY

9 a.m., suspicious circumstance — A caller said a man attempted to steal registration tags from a vehicle on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

2:23 p.m., public intoxication — A man reportedly exposed himself to two juveniles in Courthouse Park.

3:41 p.m., traffic accident — Three vehicles were involved in a traffic accident on an undisclosed block of Mono Way.

10:51 p.m., lost property — A caller on the 800 block of Mono Way reported a lost wallet that contained credit cards and cash.

FRIDAY

9:42 a.m., property damage — A caller said the tow yard at Vic's Towing on North Washington Street had been broken into.

11:03 a.m., traffic accident — A traffic accident occurred on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. No one was injured.

1:52 p.m., vandalism — A caller reported someone in a red van threw an egg at another car on Highway 49.

6:04 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A woman said a man had set up a camera in the bushes to watch her on the 100 block of Dossi Way.

9:51 p.m., theft — Three juveniles ran out of the Save Mart on Mono Way with alcohol, according to a report.

11:31 p.m. suspicious circumstance — Police reported four males were setting off sparklers on South Washington Street.

SATURDAY

1:21 p.m., theft — A woman said her neighbor took a car battery from her truck parked at her home on the 100 block of Banner Drive.

4:29 p.m., lost property — A woman on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road said she left her purse in a shopping cart, and when she returned, it was gone.

5:36 p.m., theft — A 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

5:45 p.m., trespass — A caller said a patient at Tuolumne General Hospital was refusing to leave after being treated in the emergency room.

7:28 p.m., theft — A caller said a person was trying to leave a restaurant on the 1000 block of Mono Way without paying.

SUNDAY

12:17 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a naked man was downtown near Courthouse Park.

WEDNESDAY

11:12 a.m., Valley Springs — Campers in three campsites at Hogan Campground reported items stolen.

12:32 p.m., Copperopolis — A woman on the 900 block of Feather Drive reported that the post office had been vandalized.

6:01 p.m., Arnold — Trash cans outside the library in Arnold were set on fire.

10:02 p.m., Valley Springs — An anonymous caller said a neighbor was using fireworks in tall, dry grass.

THURSDAY

6:42 p.m., Arnold — Two bicycles were stolen from a yard on the 1700 block of Meadow Drive.

10:07 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 200 block of Edna Drive said a vehicle was driving up and down the road in front of her home. She did not recognize the vehicle and was frightened, she said.

FRIDAY

12:10 p.m., Murphys — A caller on the 500 block of Apple Blossom reported a fence had been vandalized.

12:25 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 3200 block of Crest View Drive said a full trash can was stolen.

9:21 p.m., Paloma — A caller at a residence on the 7100 block of Gwin said a suspicious vehicle pulled up and turned off its lights. It later turned out to be people trying to watch fireworks.

SATURDAY

8:03 a.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 3400 block of Toyon Circle said his house had been egged.

3:01 p.m., Jenny Lind — A woman on the 11700 block of Main Street said a man was standing in front of her house and yelling obscenities

4:11 p.m., Six Mile Ranch — A man on Six Mile Road said one of his cows had been shot.

9:08 p.m., Arnold — A caller said a juvenile was staggering up the 2000 block of Highway 4 and falling down every couple of steps.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

10 p.m., Burson — A 61-year-old Burson man was arrested at his home and booked on charges of spousal battery. He was released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Ricky Daniel Cavaco II, 18, 200 block of Main Street, San Andreas, booked at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday after arrest on Hawver Road. He was cited and released.
