Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

3:53 p.m., Don Pedro — A caller said seven children were left unattended in a swimming lagoon near Fleming Meadow, and one had to be treated for a laceration. The childrens' parents were later found at a nearby store.

4:45 p.m., Sonora — A caller on the 17800 block of Shooting Star Lane said a German shepherd mix with a blue collar came into her fenced yard multiple times and growled at the children. The caller said she couldn't keep the dog out of the yard, and it had even fallen in the pool once.

5:05 p.m., Don Pedro — Calling from a cell phone, a man said a person on a blue and green personal water craft was speeding and shooting its "rooster tail" at others for the past couple hours.

5:15 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said his brown leather jacket flew off the back of his motorcycle when he was riding up Highway 108 two miles east of Kennedy Meadows. The jacket had his wallet and luggage key in a zipper pocket.

5:35 p.m., Don Pedro — Two 16-year-old girls were brought into Lake Don Pedro Marina on Bonds Flat Road after a tubing accident.

6:06 p.m., Groveland area — A U.S. Forest Service ranger said he came across two teenage girls walking along Sawmill Mountain Road. When he asked them if they were OK, they told him they'd been abused.

6:17 p.m., Pinecrest — A caller said she and her family were on the lake when two men and two women sped by in an aluminum rental boat, sending a wave against her boat and slicing her fishing lines. The offending boaters didn't stop and were "whooping" as they went by.

6:20 p.m., Groveland area — A herd of cows was reported on the 31100 block of Hardin Flat Road.

8:18 p.m., Belleview Oaks — A caller on the 21600 block of Robin Hill Road said a boy pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger. This, the caller said, is an ongoing problem. The caller didn't know if he had been shot at with a BB gun or something else.

8:20 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on an unidentified block of Tuolumne Road North said her neighbors were setting off fireworks.

8:22 p.m., Pine Mountain Lake — A caller said she gave a key to a person to clean her vacation cabin on Pine Mountain Lake Drive, and the person brought friends and made a weekend of it.

8:49 p.m., Jamestown area — A caller said someone in a red van was going up and down Campo Seco Road setting off fireworks.

9:06 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on an unidentified block of Black Oak Road said people were setting off fireworks.

9:26 p.m., Tuolumne — Two men, who had been drinking at Black Oak Casino on Tuolumne Road, moved to the parking lot after they were thrown out of the casino, and were causing a disturbance.

9:28 p.m., Jamestown — A woman wanted someone to check her apartment on the 10300 block of Preston Lane because she thought someone was going there and "planting things, dumping over her plants, etc."

10 p.m., Tuolumne area — A caller reported fireworks set off between Anderson Drive and Isom Lane.

10:09 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A woman reported fireworks use on Lori Lane.

11:01 p.m., Columbia — A caller said a man was lying on the ground with his head on a parking block at a vacant business on the 22600 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

11:01 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said fireworks were being used on Tanager Drive.

11:15 p.m., Jamestown area — A woman on the 11900 block of Shotgun Creek Road said two people assaulted her when she was outside her house.

YESTERDAY

12:46 a.m., East Sonora — An employee of Jack in the Box said some teenagers in a Volkswagen Jetta were harassing him at the restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

1 a.m., Sonora — A caller reported fireworks exploding on Chukar Circle.

5:09 a.m., Mono Vista — Someone broke into a towing company yard on the 20800 block of Mechanical Drive and then broke into one of the vehicles in the yard. The caller had the person on video, he said.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Jerry Edward Johnson, 42, 18800 block of Dusty Trail Road, Sonora, booked after arrest at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Pulpit Rock and Rawhide roads, Jamestown.

James Neil Roth, 45, 10600 block of Campo Seco Road, Jamestown, booked at 10:30 a.m. after arrest on La Grange Road south of Red Hills Road, west of Jamestown.

FRIDAY

3:28 p.m., Tuolumne — Casey Lee Modrell, 33, 10700 block of Algerine Road, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and on parole violation after arrest on 18800 block of Pine Street. She was held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:38 p.m., Jamestown — Mike Ruiz Meza, 26, 18100 block of Seventh Avenue, Jamestown, arrested at the Rawhide Saloon, 18200 block of Highway 108, Jamestown, on a warrant for violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance and petty theft with a prior conviction. He was held this morning without bail.

SATURDAY

2:45 a.m., Twain Harte — James Daniel Faifua, 23, 1700 McAllister Street, San Francisco, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license after arrest at 2:45 a.m. on Twain Harte Drive at Lava Road. Faifua was held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

SUNDAY

11 p.m., Sonora — Louise Ann Martinez, 22, 16800 block of Quartz Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an earlier case and with being in a city park after hours. She was held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

7:20 a.m., San Andreas — Someone at a grocery store on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street requested advice from a deputy regarding verbal threats.

7:49 a.m., Valley Springs —A caller said a man was sleeping in a vehicle parked on the 2800 block of Heney Lane. The man said he had arrived early for a barbecue and he didn't want to wake the host.

8:02 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 2300 block of Quail Hill Road was chased by a pit bull. The call was transferred to animal control.

10:34 a.m., Arnold — An attempted robbery was reported on the 100 block of Woodchip Circle.

11:36 a.m., Altaville — A caller on the 300 block of North Baker Street dialed 911 to find out if fireworks were going to be set off at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.

11:40 a.m., San Andreas — Graffiti was found on walls and vehicles at Calaveras High School.

12:11 p.m., Arnold —A mother and daughter were arguing on the 100 block of Woodchip Circle.

2:30 p.m., Valley Springs — A landlord was reportedly blocking a tenant from moving on the 200 block of Daphne Street.

3:19 p.m., Arnold — Neighbors on the 2200 block of Flanders Drive were arguing.

5:23 p.m., Burson — A deputy responded to an argument at Burson Market on the 3100 block of West Highway 12.

5:27 p.m., Copperopolis — Items were stolen from a boat on the 500 block of Dolores Road

6:35 p.m., Arnold — A caller said a group of juveniles were harassing a hearing-impaired female in front of Big Trees Market on the 2100 block of Highway 4.

7:24 p.m., Arnold — A caller from Round Table Pizza on the 2100 block of Highway 4 said juveniles on skateboards were in front of the restaurant harassing patrons.

7:25 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the first block of Daphne Street said cars full of men kept coming and going from a woman's apartment. The men said they were having a barbecue and were waiting for the woman to return.

8:42 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 6300 block of McCauly Road said a man was yelling at a woman on the telephone.

11:09 p.m., Rancho Calaveras — An explosive was found in a mailbox on the 7500 block of Anderson Street.

YESTERDAY

12:47 a.m., Hathaway Pines — A fight between a man and woman on the first block of Cedar Drive resulted in an arrest.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

8:25 p.m., San Andreas — Clint Eugene Kelley, 30, 800 block of Feather Drive, Copperopolis, booked on battery and vandalism charges. Kelley remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

FRIDAY

11:50 p.m., Copperopolis — Charles Horace Harris, 35, 200 block of Sabrina Lane, Modesto, booked on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury and disorderly conduct due to alcohol. Harris was released from the county jail after posting $30,000 bail.

SATURDAY

9 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Emilly Aureilia Surginer, 22, 5000 block of June Avenue, Wilseyville, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs, stealing a vehicle, receiving stolen property and driving without a license. Surginer was released from custody due to crowded conditions at the Calaveras County Jail.

11:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Crescencio Aguirre Reyes, 20, of Ripon, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and disorderly conduct due to alcohol. As of this morning, Reyes remained in jail, held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Jeannine Elizabeth Pruden, 42, 14500 Brown Lane, Burson, booked at 10:15 p.m. Thursday after arrest on Highway 12 in Burson.

Louis Bertus Knuist, 64, 17300 block of Mount Everest Court, Sonora, booked at 3:34 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 12 in Valley Springs.

David Bryan Rigney, 48, of San Andreas, booked at 8 p.m. Saturday after arrest on South Main Street in Angels Camp. Rigney was also booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana while driving.

William Earl Hardman, 28, of Oakdale, booked at 9 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of using a watercraft while intoxicated after arrest on Tulloch Reservoir.

Raymond Paul Pelot, 40, 500 block of Perlegos Way, Lodi, booked at 11:35 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 49 and Central Hill Road near New Hogan Reservoir.
